Actually, what DO we even know of dragon romance?
We don't actually see dragons cohabiting for extended periods most places, suggesting they do not pairbond in a permanent manner(whereas given their lifespans, if they were to pairbond permanently most elder dragons would be paired until spouse death).
Well then, we got the bare bones for the sequel to Asarnil's book.

Cython: "I'm sorry, I can't- I can't do that to myself. It'd be over so soon."
Mathilde: "Hmm. Immortality... I can do immortality..." *wanders off with a trail of determined muttering*
Cython: *sweatdrops*
Honestly, if we want immortality Cython's probably a good consultant due to sheer age and experience with magic. Its insights are unlikely to be directly applicable- we're ulgu, it's hysh- but sheer general exposure and experience is bound to allow it to give us at least some insight into the topic.

Today in conspiracy theories: Dragons aren't naturally immortal. The dragons that are alive today are the ones that figured it out. The rest died out. "Dragon eggs" are all fakes, frantically engineered and planted to fool the Old Ones and younger races that dragons are just that way. "Hatchlings" are actually elite infiltrators using high-powered magic to sneak in and disguise themselves when an "egg" is due to hatch. The Conspiracy of Immortality was conceived of and continues to be directed by the Ulgu Dragons; it's not a coincidence nobody knows they exist!

now excuse me while I go get some apparently desperately-needed sleep.

Off the top of my head, Kadon/Morkhain -1200ish, Ushoran takes over and renames it to Strygos in -1000ish, it falls in -200ish.
That'll be 8th edition then.

Are you pushing Vorag forward a thousand years or so or having him concurrent to Strygos?

(I apologize if you're finding the entirely meaningless questions annoying, I've just always been fascinated by how needlessly-contradictory the Strygos timelines are, literally none of them are consistent)

The Ice Dragon, as a character, is extremely cool and I am not against Mathilde spending her time with him ie. by nerding over magic stuff and what not :p

The Ice Dragon as a romance partner? Sorry, but nope.

[X] Belegar, to discuss the northern Karaks and the Expedition.
[X] Kasmir, to see how he's keeping himself busy in Sylvania.

Going with my gut here. I just really like Panoramia more compared to the other romance options. Belegar's a no-brainer. I'm also curious to see how Kasmir's doing.

Sooo... anyone curious if Belegar's had any background rolls that mean he's not feeling as bad?

Time alone does not heal dwarven wounds :(

Another day, another reason why everybody should vote to romance Roswita.

Namely that she is the only love interest we have who can match our hat game. Cython doesn't wear any (as far as we know) and Johann/Panoramia don't even wear the traditional wizard hats. Roswita, on the other hand, has been trained by the Witch Hunters, meaning that she draws power from the exact same source of hats that Mathilde does. This is the kind of compatibility you can't just build up over a few dates!

The only place dragons seem to chose to cohabit with anyone is Ulthuan, and Elves live for millennia at a minimum (excluding deaths from disease, war etc.), which suggests that dragons might prefer longer lived friends/allies/romances. There is the Dragon Emperor in Cathay though, but what that one's relationship with it's vassals consists of is an unknown.

I want a story about a hat wizard now.

Belegar might have hit the terminal phase in Mathilde's Faith Vampiring. Loss of trust in his liege, conviction they're letting everyone down, and now expressing open dissatisfaction with the contribution of said leader to his grand project... better just hope he doesn't start quoting great High Kings of yore on tactics.

Jokes aside, it's a sad and difficult situation for Belegar, one that only seems to get worse not better.

Only when everyone is aware and onboard.
Which is part of my worry.
Hopefully there will be a follow up vote on how we go about it if two romance votes win.
edit-
To clarify, yes, poly relationships are legit, but trying to get people into one without full disclosure before hand is a shitty way to go about it.
Boney did say it'd trigger a subvote

There's also evidence to suggest that the Dragon Emperor isn't actually a Dragon.

Allright, its close, even if dragon loses, he'll probally win next time, where there isn't a surewin Belegar to vote for (note: tone is hard for the internet, so I must clarify I didn't mean this in a denigrating way, I voted for Belegar and really want to read about him, this is just a tone neutral pragmatic assesment)
