Hey people I have an idea, how about if we just spend the two actions to actualy look into the juice and the swords instead of deaying it indefinetily ?
That way the problem is solved and we get the best results whitout wasting any oportunity.

On the shyish-kebabs, wouldn't it be easier to give it to the college, see what they figure out from it and then reverse-engineer that into Ulgu? Would save us time to stop that from deteriorating.

No, because we probaly would need to go to the colleges and spend an action and maybe favor doing that, while if we reserach ouselves we can send the results for even more favor, so basicaly some work for worse results.

Turn 19 - 2479 – Promotion
An excellent turn.

The utterly befuddled volunteer who was the target of your spells is taken off to have a lie-down.
Yeah… I can't imagine having your brain repeatedly turned inside out is a particularly healthy experience.

You're given a letter and told to deliver it to a man waiting just inside the gates of Nuln; you're back before lunch and given a great many suspicious looks until a raven familiar delivers word that your letter has reached the recipient.
The Dämmerlichtreiter Rides!

four days later the town criers start broadcasting a request that you report to the College, and you say goodbye to the grocer you had been working for as Alys Schmidt and report smugly back.
So much for the vaunted hunters of the Grey Order.
Admittedly Weber was deliberately trying to lay low from a pursuit she knew about, but still.

who is rather put out when the duel begins with a wax bullet to the chest knocking him sprawling.
Even without a trait Weber well remembers the effectiveness of black powder weapons for countering enemy casters.

but the previous Turner passed away and none have shown the ability and inclination to take it up.
Plot hook for the future.
If we assume the College Faculty are like advisors with the Magister Patriarch as the ruler then the Turner would be… Stewardship or Learning?

Excellent.

You know, they might not turn up in pivotal rolls as often but we do get a generous helping of crits to go with our fumbles.

Um. Pardon me if this came up earlier and I missed it, but...why, pray tell, haven't we given the mirror-snake box and all the Qhaysh juice to the College?

Is no one including dwarven prospecting in their plan for our estate? The manager can't call in dwarf favours, and them finding deeper-lying mineral wealth can significantly alter the way we will have to develop our fief.

I just had a Liber Mortis Eureka.

We should bring it to Zulfbar. And then, we should ask the Dwarves to keep it in a secure vault while we are away on raids to Karak Varn. We can then come back to it once we are more experienced, or study it, in the safety of the Dwarven Hold in-between raids.

@BoneyM Is that possible? Could we use favors with the Dwarves to have them hold and guard a treasure of ours while we are away? Maybe, if they insist, just tell a runemaster what's inside. Or another Dwarf sworn to secrecy. It's not like they'll tell.

I like this, have a vote.

So… I have a couple of issues with the current plans.
1) Why are we hiring an outsider to run the fief when we could instead take the local community leader option? He responded well to us and has a far better idea what the place actually needs.
2) No overwork. Normally I'm against such things but this is crunch time, some or all of these options are not going to be available after this turn.
3) Not folding the farmers and factory into the EIC. We still have the option to do things with the EIC, such as the printing option. It costs us some of the profits but lets them run on automatic rather than consuming our time.

Small campaigns. Meaning we can take breaks without feeling guilty and leave to do other stuff when ready. Plus we will be far more able to do organisational actions.

[X] Donate them to the Amethyst Order (+2 College Favours)
We are never getting to them. Let someone else have a go.

I'm half tempted to get the College to look after it, now we are a fully paid up Magister. However I strongly suspect it would be stolen by some academic the moment we are out the door.

[X] Bring it with you, safely locked within the enchanted box Abelhelm kept it in.
There is no good option with this. But I would rather have it with us.

What I want to know is why are voting to keep the shyish kebabs we haven't done anything with them and honestly aren't really that useful and it just seems like a waste to keep them when we have other projects to do.

Idle speculative idea: As we leave for Karak Whichever, send flasks of magic asp juice to the College and keep the Box. Attach brief and cryptic note in good Shadowmancer style.

The other Magisters probably won't run off to a dwarfhold to ask questions when they have a shiny to study in front of them, and five years later they should have calmed down a lot and studied it and gotten interested in more.

I would prefer if our adventuring was more of a part-time thing, rather than an all-in affair, as I am highly interested in our personal (magical and otherwise) development as a precursor to an eventual future return to the position of an advisor (or comparable).

EDIT: Actually, I like this plan:

Yes, this is possible.
We should absolutely do this.

Keep in mind, if we suffer a crit fail on overwork, we can suffer serious consequences, like injuries, or pissing people off. So be careful which actions you put overwork in. And sure, we are a girl from the peasantry, so we should be able to find a nice steward. Keep in mind, we are likely trusting the steward with a lot.

Um. Pardon me if this came up earlier and I missed it, but...why, pray tell, haven't we given the mirror-snake box and all the Qhaysh juice to the College?
Same reason many don't want to give the swords, it is a rare magical artifact, is our to to reserarch stuff like that and we can get some could stuff when we get around to doing that.
Is just that the box is unique and thus so much rarer we don't even conceive of giving it up. On the same vein since it is unique we have no idea of what they would do with it.

Is no one including dwarven prospecting in their plan for our estate? The manager can't call in dwarf favours, and them finding deeper-lying mineral wealth can significantly alter the way we will have to develop our fief.
I would love to but we are so short on time to organize stuff we can't even afford to set the gunpowder factory, so there is no way we can manage a mine for something we don't even know exist yet. So we should focus on what we na get done, like no wasting oportunities.

We are never getting to them. Let someone else have a go.
What I want to know is why are voting to keep the shyish kebabs we haven't done anything with them and honestly aren't really that useful and it just seems like a waste to keep them when we have other projects to do.
See heres and interesting thing, we wanted to buid an enchanting workshop before studying them and that toke a long time to set, then we wante to practice some enchanting and we finaly done that, so why are giving away the swords when we finaly finished preparing for actualy studying them ?
It literay takes a single action so why note finaly do it now that we can ?

Voting is open
