Wolf, Familiar of Magister Mathilde Weber
Species: Wolf or wolf-like dog
Personality: Outgoing, show-off

Friend to Halflings: Wolf spends much of his time playing with the children of the Halflings, who have grown quite fond of him.
Leader: Wolf is the head of an unusual pack, consisting of Johann's six wolf-rats (Charyb, Deiamol, Tigris, Verdra, Lokratia, Isharna) and Qrech's spaniel (Skufit).
Link of Psyche: Wolf is able to call upon Mathilde's mental faculties for problem-solving or understanding languages, as well as communicate remotely.
Magic Power: A two-way flow of magic between Master and Familiar empowers spellcasting.
Verbal: Wolf has learned to speak Lingua Praestantia, the language of the Colleges of Magic.

You know, I wanted to make a joke about how of course we would resurrect Roswita, despite the fact we weren't even willing to do so for her father, but I can't find away to say it that doesn't come off as too facetious. Ah well.
Really the idea that we would be able to manage it with just quick speed read is silly. I don't think anyone would have liked the results. Now are we have actually read and digested it. Well it is still long odds and we still would not want to try with anyone long dead, but at least it isn't pray for a natural 100.

Again, lets get wolf some high fediity telekensis that he can use when he wants.

I suggest runes because of higher dwarf favour.

As a strech goal, I suggest two six/eight shot revolvers, highest quality, in case of assasins.

You know, if we get wizards from multiple winds working with us and study some elven high magic enchantments, we may be able to replicate them with our new trait. Something to look into later. We should be able to pick up something from KaK or the college.

Yeah. Even in the unfortunately unlikely case that Mathilde starts using her necromancy I wouldn't immediately rush out to bring back Abel. He only has one body and one soul, so there's not a lot of room for error. Better to do this the dwarven way, and practice until your masterpiece becomes perfect.

Of course, that requires that the thread will let Mathilde flex all of her magical muscles...

Unlikely unless we get attacked by a hoard of undead with no witnesses. We have many other pathes to power.

The mechanism is straightforward, too: We know that there are runes for telekinesis, and we know that runes can comprehend spoken Khazalid, and we know that Wolf can learn languages, so we teach Wolf Khazalid and give him a tool that turns words into effects. Maybe not incredibly high-precision, but I've seen people do things with similar interfaces (e.g. programming) that tell me that Wolf would still get a bunch of utility out of it.

At that level of precision he might as well use his mouth and paws.

The semi-public library of K8P has to get some tongues wagging. Other than Wolfs, I mean.

BOOKSHELF IN MATHILDE'S BEDROOM

Romance +7 - Extensive Imperial / Extensive Druchii / Extensive and Obscure Skaven
Reminds me of how when we went looting in Skaven stronghold and found the leader's room and took the middle rows (given those would be used the most). I think it was the B O O K stash. Resulted in information about rodents and err, "romance" books.
*Looks what Mathilde considers bedroom reading*

I find it funny that Mathilde still doesn't have any Dwarven romance literature yet.

The public section has a little sign saying 'further books available to those with sufficient clearance', and the actual Skaven books are locked securely away. It's not really a problem currently since there's very few people actually visiting the library and all of them would have that clearance, but Mathilde is proactive about such matters.

No, the point is at least human hand level of fidelity. It is up to BoneyM if it is possible, however.

Also, the fact wolf can learn one language does not mean it is possible he can a different one; magic... it's a bit silly like that :p

It's not good but it's in the category of 'Survivable failure' at least.

Can't roll boxcars every time.

I wonder if we can figure out a cheaper method for the We to get their protein then meat. After all humans managed to figure out how to make dog and cat food.
