We don't, it's hilarious. But it absolutely is also cursed.

Not necessarily true; we don't know how long it would have taken for us to get to the Eye and activate it. It definitely would have helped, but we don't know it would have stopped all of those injuries/fatalities. The attack came out of nowhere and orcs run pretty fast.Hm. Speaking of regrets and second thoughts now... If we'd chosen to use the "go to the Eye of Gazul" option instead of the "remain at the Citadel to be at the center of command" option, we wouldn't have lost those 500 Karagril miners to the Broken Toof orcs Leeroying across the Caldera. On the other hand, we might not have been able to give immediate scouting orders so who knows.
Still, though. 500 losses from that event.
That's why I keep saying we should social them! Also, don't forget about Ruprecht Wulfhart in Ulrikadrin. He thought we were on the Expedition specifically to murder him if he got out of line; that's great "laugh about it later with the kids" material if I ever heard about it.
dragon might be a lady dragon, just saying
Make friends, bring him with us. Travel up the west coast to remind Calador that other kinds of dragons are still out there and autograph our book. Roll into Nagarythe with a combat value of our own regiment. Seize a flying black arc. Yay new lab.More like "Hey, you know those bastards that took over your old lair? I'm gonna go kill some, any of your old stuff I should look out for?"
They used to live in Naggaroth, so they have a lot of gender options.
You are doing the Lord's work, das slash
Skaven daddy or we riot
Roswita, Belegar, or Kragg, and that's all I'm willing to entertain. Nobody else really has the narrative weight to be a good romantic option, though Panoramia would be cute for a fling or something. So, I'm gonna look at romance options while I wait, given the probable sinking of the Eshin ship. I am paying particular attention to how willing they are to do things that look insane to outsiders, because that will fit well with questers proclivities.
So let's start with Johann. On one hand, Fantastic Golden Body. There are many problems though. I wrote 2 long diatribes about how I doubt Mathilde will get over being lied to, which are here and here. Also, he is afraid of the Brass Orb, which shows a lack of FOR SCIENCE!!! His non-interest in the depths of magic also mean that our interests really only overlap when it comes to Skaven engineering. I doubt he will care about AV or Theurgy, for example.
SUMMARY: Overall, I'd put him at a one night stand. He's hot, but long term I really don't see the appeal.
Similarly, Panoramia shippers took a hit once she freaked out about using the Eye for Weeding. Personally, I am more inclined to give Panoramia a second chance at this, because she was just a Journeyman at the time. She does have her own moments when she is willing to go crazy, though. The description of going after the Skaven with Thorned vines shows some promising megolomania that will fit with quester's craziness. In addition, she seems like she could get quite powerful, though that is speculation from her having magic 5 or 6, and knowing that she hasn't finished learning magic, so this will rise. Finally, the way she treats us doing grey wizard shenanigans is adorable and I love it.
SUMMARY: Panoramia is a viable romantic choice, if she wants to stretch the limits of magic.
Kazador's Kids. First, Dwarves, which satisfy the trustworthyness a lot. This is a definite plus. If they inherited Kazador's... enthusiasm, I think they'll beat out Johann in multiple ways. Though they don't understand magic, if one is a ranger, we can bond over being sneaky, while still being able to trust them, which would be ideal. And I'm really hoping one is a ranger.
SUMMARY: If one of the kids has stuff in common with us, and is as enthusiastic about fighting and other stuff as their dad, this could work.
Roswita would be a great narrative story: after wronging person A, person B grows to understand person A more, and eventually falls for them, etc. I will admit, Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite stories as well. There are some roadblocks. First, eww, we had a crush on her dad. This can be written past with good writing. The second roadblock is that the work is mostly one sided. We are teaching her how to deal with advisers and saving her life, but she doesn't do similar grand things for us. If this is to work, we would need to see her do nice things for 'us' without us asking directly. It doesn't directly have to benefit us, but it does need to show us she is sorry about what happened. Doing something more with the battlemages would be a great start, or something with K8P. Finally, there is the long term implications, which could be a hassle, or could be great. If we get that 'better than dwarf friend', this marriage could also weirdly unite a Dwarf Kingdom with a Elector Count, which would be cool.
The 3 human leaders at Karag Nar we haven't seen enough of, Ducklings seem to young because we call them ducklings, Abelelm is dead, we said no to Anton, Kragg disapproves, etc.
Belegar is a maybe. His duty is heavy, and he has an obligation to have heirs. But maybe we could get around this? Or are we slotting him in for Abelhelm?
By any objective measure, retaking 3-4 Karags with <2000 casualties is gob-smackingly amazing.Hm.

Thus far, IIRC I think we've lost about a total of 1700 Dwarfs and 300 Humans on-screen-updates-given stuff. No status updates were given for storming the Trenches however, so we don't know how many more we lost there. We've no idea how many casualties Huzkul are going to see when the Karagril Skaven collapse. Uncertain how many Dwarfs or Humans will die from hunting down Zilfin survivors, or taking out dozens of Rhyn's food-coma'd Trolls.
But thus far, it's looking like 2000-some Dwarfs dead and several hundred humans.
Hes capable of being inexhaustible, we are capable of being inexhaustible. One night stand could take...days. also...golden organ...SUMMARY: Overall, I'd put him at a one night stand. He's hot, but long term I really don't see the appeal.
heh heh, stretching Panoramia's limits. Hentai.SUMMARY: Panoramia is a viable romantic choice, if she wants to stretch the limits of magic.
I mean, does he got any runesmith kids?Though they don't understand magic, if one is a ranger, we can bond over being sneaky, while still being able to trust them, which would be ideal. And I'm really hoping one is a ranger.

We are, but only using a protection that makes is more or less insensitive to lesser stimuli.Hes capable of being inexhaustible, we are capable of being inexhaustible.
Oh, that would totally work as well!
Kasmir Heinz, our old crisis of faith buddy. Voted most likely to complement our undead stomping skills.Roswita, Belegar, or Kragg, and that's all I'm willing to entertain. Nobody else really has the narrative weight to be a good romantic option, though Panoramia would be cute for a fling or something.
The thing is, taking these peaks isn't about getting new space, not really. It's about removing the severe number of immediate threats, securing our frontlines with the gates, and the cultural and material gains we will get from being able to finally loot the other half of the Karak. like, for example, in one of the recent council meetings Belegar told Gunnars not to set up a shrine to Smednir because his proper place was in Karag Rhyn. We will have, hopefully, the Throne Room in Karag Zilfin, and we might find more rune-lore in some of the vaults we haven't gotten ahold of. hell, if Mhonar does turn out to be full of rune golems, that would be even better. Also, yes, the hope it spawns might have more population-relevant effects.By any objective measure, retaking 3-4 Karags with <2000 casualties is gob-smackingly amazing.
But Belegar's amazement is going to inevitably be tempered by 'But we don't even have enough dwarves to man (dwarf?) these new Karags, not in my lifetime.'
Unless, I suppose, news of getting the hat trick to retake 7 of 8 Karags of K8P is enough to set off a baby boom in the Karaz Ankor. Hopefully nothing gets dwarves randier than murdered Skaven and revanchist philosophy
Why? Join us, we have cookies!I guess I will pop back in when the update drops seeing as thread madness has completely taken over.
Alright, because of popular demand i am going back to the drawing board (or image editing software)

This one is in the right ballpark, though it is concerningly devoid of shirt.

I'm imagining Greater Chaos Deity Ranald as a god of the horror genre. Both the deadly excitement of trying to hide from the monsters, and of sneaking amount in the middle of the night to play deadly tricks on unsuspecting victims.Let's take Ranald. He has four aspects/concepts associated with him; Gambling/Luck, Stealth, Deception and Protection.

You are both missing the cinnamon bun. One of the deeper surviving personal connections, known for ridiculous feats (keeping an exiled elven prince as a pen pal), trusting Mathilde deeply enough to follow her ridiculous schemes and not be scared off by her exploits. I consider him the best of the options I consider viable. The contrast in personalities would be delicious, and their mutual abysmal diplomacy scores might lead to the most hilarious scenes with visitors. One of the few relationships where I can see potential for long-term happiness.Nobody else really has the narrative weight to be a good romantic option, though Panoramia would be cute for a fling or something.
we already told Anton no, and besides, he's the little brother character. That's just a bit creepy, in my opinion. You are both missing the cinnamon bun. So what you're saying is Mary Sue is a champion of Slaanesh, yes?

Corrections: 1) We told him to marry for love, not that he could not pursue Mathilde. 2) Anton is the big brother, Mathilde the little sister.we already told Anton no, and besides, he's the little brother character. That's just a bit creepy, in my opinion.
< Anton trusts you implicitly and has pretty much adopted you as his little sister.
Pretty sure Dragons were not that far behind on magic, considering some of them helped in the most difficult magical project to ever exist. Lets not pump them up when we want to reach themTheir magic lore is Qhaysh, which they manage by being biological supercomputers who learned how to do their thing from the beings that pretty much invented magic.
