What would a Knightly Order of Ranald be like?Hmm. Best way to deal with that is probably to enroll him in a Templar order of knights until he is ready to take the throne then. Ain't no rule saying that the Emperor can't be a miracle working lay brother. He just can't be a priest or a wizard.
Dwarfs do not react well to Wind-based magic, as in the probably turn to stone because of it
Give Kragg a bunch of Snakejuice and have him keep throwing ancestor runes at humans until they turn human.
Gods are more like physical laws or natural forces with personalities than people you can interview. Manifesting enough of one in one place to converse with them is probably only going to get them to give you either a quest or the conversational equivalent of 'bad guys bad, do the things I said to do', unless some priest along the way had gotten a majorly wrong impression about something and they hadn't gotten an earlier opportunity to make the correction.I wonder if it's within the realms of possibility for one of the ancestors gods to make an appearance, if so, whether we could do anything to tip those odds a bit
we should vote to say that the tower is not completed, because we do not have spare actions next turn if we want the tower to fire at night, then we definitely need One Action on invisibility, One Action on tower, and One action on Skaven, and adding another project on top of that seems like a fast way to not do that task adequately. On to the options we realy should vote to say the tower is completed, sanding the rought edges takes way less time than starting something from scratch, and with how many precomited actions we have next turn we afford a new project right now.
This. So much this. With a sprinkle of:@BoneyM if only we could reply to his open question.
"Your question is one we short-lived manlings have asked ourselves since our first days."
"Why did the old farmer plant tree's he will never see become a full orchard?"
"Why did that knight start a village that will not become a town, let alone a city, before he becomes dust in a grave?"
"Why would a King start building a fortress that will only be completed by the time he is half-forgotten by all but the academics."
"Its called faith Belegar, not necessary in the gods or ancestors, but in those that they watch over, that will come after us, our people, our children. that by passing on the tools they will need one day we will help them succeed in a way we could not.
"The farmer planted the tree so his children will be able to pick the apples."
"The Knight created the village so that his grandchildren will be safe and warm."
"And the King started the fortress so that the day his people needed it, they had it."
"My King... your right that you will probably never see a Karak Eight Peaks full to the brim with your people. but your actions today means that your grandson can hope too."

@BoneyM, would Mathilde's lexicon notes be a valid target for enchant object?
Rent it out to dwarf couples, see if it helps fertility issues.Who would she even put in the fun dungeon?

Probably some kind of theives guild/robin hood style bandits. I was thinking a more conventional pick. A nice Taalite order like the Order of the Stag in Talabheim for example.
Wasn't he so angry that he came back from the dead and manifested himself into the physical world? I wouldn't really categorize him in the same way as the average wavelength of Aethyric intent.Isn't it rather different with dwarf gods? I thought it was at least a semi regular thing for grombradril to show up at particularly fateful times, and he might sit down and drink beer and grumble with you for a good long while.
On the other hand, Sigmarism is the solution to half the Empire's problems as well. Maybe more. Consider my recent WHFRP game where the party was being overrun by undead, then the Priest of Sigmar pulls out a clutch prayer to invoke Twin-Tailed Comet (the 4e AOE one), gets a 2* and suddenly the party isn't being overrun by undead any more.Disdain for Sigmar is an objective benefit to everyone! Sigmarism is the root cause of at least half of the Empires problems.
Thanks for pointing that out, that realy should have been a ''shouldn't''. And I also ate the ''can't'' somehow.we should vote to say that the tower is not completed, because we do not have spare actions next turn if we want the tower to fire at night, then we definitely need One Action on invisibility, One Action on tower, and One action on Skaven, and adding another project on top of that seems like a fast way to not do that task adequately.
Character sheet, library section.Where are the pricings for buying books etc.? I'm considering trying to make a purchase plan, but having trouble finding the details.
Feel free to ping me with questions, I have a good understanding of the system at this point.Library:
Gives a bonus where appropriate to the topics it covers. +1 is the default bonus, with +1 for Extensive and +1 Obscure / +2 Antiquarian / +3 Esoteric for non-stacking rarity levels. Each bonus can apply once per race/country the books are from, as long as they have a solid knowledge base on the subject.
Each +1 bonus costs 50 gold crowns, or local equivalent. Books on magic will cost College Favour as well as gold, books by Dwarves will cost Dwarf Favour as well as gold. The cost is 1 favour for Obscure and Antiquarian levels, 2 favours for Esoteric.
You have established a relationship with the foremost bookseller of Barak Varr, and can acquire books from the Empire through them.
Jade Wizards are a hell of a drug, I guess.Hm, Heidi hints that she is very old. Those wizard purges after "some entirely non-magical thespian tricksters looted his treasury"? It was more than fifty years ago, in 2429 IC (it was during the tail-end of the period when Colleges were disbanded after the Night of Thousand Arcane Duels and thus wizards didn't have any legal protection). She hints that she participated in that heist, which makes her in her 70s at least (and more likely 80s if we consider how much time you need to acquire the kind of skills required to rob Imperial Treasury).
Are you sure it was Sigmar throwing that twin-tailed comet, and not a more competent deity like Sotek? On the other hand, Sigmarism is the solution to half the Empire's problems as well. Maybe more. Roughly what fraction of the Empire's problems would you say can be solved by Sigmar throwing a comet at it? I'm thinking it's a lot of them.
(Mathilde's postjudices are fun, but let's not lose sight of what Sigmar can do when he's the protagonist.)

The Age of the Three Emperors can be laid squarely at the feet of the Cult of Sigmar and their insitance on dominating all religious and secular power as an example. Individual priests can be good people but the Cult itself is a cancer at the heart of the empire that causes as much, if not more, division as it does unity. In the time frame of this quest they and the Ulricans are engaged in yet another fight while they both ignore their obligations. On the other hand, Sigmarism is the solution to half the Empire's problems as well. considering that letting a wizard cast magic on you that alters your appearance woyuld be political suicide, probably not.Jade Wizards are a hell of a drug, I guess.
Though I wonder, do Elector Counts and other high nobles typically live into their 150s?
