Although I think I'm wasting my time by proposing anything at this point, I'm moving to:

[X] Plan Kill it with Shadow v6
- [X] MAX: Allow him to spend his time on patrol with the gyrocopters so he can finally get to shoot something from one.
- [X] JOHANN: Learn a skill: Find a human trainer in unarmed martial arts
- [X] DUCK: Work with Panoramia to see if your planned shadow murder tower could also come in handy for the crops in the East Valley.
- [X] Have the EIC assist with Princess Edda's search for weavers.
- [X] Investigate the possibility of whether it could be fired without you [tricky; if selected and successful, paranoia will be ramped up automatically]
- [X] Investigate the possibility of somehow amplifying the Tower with Dwarven runecraft [???] - apply the Coin
- [X] Hire the Loremaster with knowledge of weaving to teach the We.
- [X] Seek to establish an in-depth understanding of the Skaven as an individual.
- [X] Travel to the Grey College and attend lessons there.

For what it's worth, I am sorry that I seem to have become some sort of monolithic boogeyman to people hoping to give their own plans a shot - I hope everyone here can have fun playing the game, and if my actions get in the way of that, I'd hope I can fix that issue somehow.

I do try to take input on my plans into account during the discussion period, and offer alternatives for people who disagree with one or two small contentious points.

Building the tower takes up the penthouse construction slot. I think you could still use the free action to set the spare room up as a library or make the dungeon extra secure. @BoneyM is that right?
 
Max spends up to half his time doing our assignment. If that assignment involves spending time with the prisoner that's three times the time with company compared to a Mathilde action and no month long break for study in Altdorf.
Would work for keeping him sane, but I'm not sure how much useful info we'll get on who the Skaven is from that. Max doesn't really have the background to see through lies and/or understand strange mindsets, after all, so it'd probably depend heavily on how cooperative the Skaven is feeling.

Nah, it's the rest of that plan that I don't like, including making Max interrogate a Skaven despite having no skill for doing so.

Whereas I'm confident that by the end of the first month Max will be its best friend in the world and teaching him Queekish will be the highlight of its day*. A social being with only one source of company will depend on it.

*because when they're not working it has to deal with Max's drama queen personality.

You are absolutely fine. You took people's suggestions, which is why you're winning imho.

You wouldn't be monolithic without people liking and trusting your plan making and methodology.

Still could be very useful. Think about having a tower like that over Black Fire Pass, maintained by the Gray College?

And if other dwarf holds are convinced, Peak Pass (Karak Kadrin) would be a prime location.

The little vacation token we got does have me imagining Mathilde last minute being like "btw going to go live with the elves for a quarter year, don't wait up" and everyone in the Grey College (or like The Entire World) just flipping their shit.

I imagine the scenario where Mathilde leverages a drip feed of that sweet primo elfland info in exchange for free college prep training for the trip, but I don't think she'd want to do that at the expense of potential shattering elf papers. :V

He taught the We Reichspiel. He has Law of Logic and Patience. He can devote more time to the project than Mathilde. The Skaven has every reason to cooperate. The job is not extracting secrets, it's learning a language and Max is better suited to it than Mathilde herself.

Also Max is our underling. Skaven, applying Skaven logic, will assume he is out to get us and will try to scheme with him against us aiming to backstab both of us and to regain his freedom. This interaction will be hilarious. Actually, I'll even make a plan with it myself!
