Reikspiel is Bad German, just let it go
This.

For general amusement along these lines, I wish to present the famous old "Blinkenlights" notice/poster that used to hang in several computer rooms around the English-speaking world as an example of one might think Bad German looked like.

And for the Germans who are offended by this horrific butchery of their language, you can get your own back by enjoying the one that was written in very bad English in response.

Jade wizards are the battle healers of the colleges because they can cast spells at the highest level like Regrowth and Earthblood that can bring 30 men or more back from the brink of death and grow them new arms and legs. The wizards of the light order are no were close to the members of the Jade college when it comes to healing wounds especially when more then one person needs help.

While wanting to guard the count from assassins is not the dumbest idea where the hell would they come from. No one who is not wearing the colors of Stirland or a dwarf is coming thought the gate we have taken. Do you guys think the army is some how full of sleeper agents. I would be more worried about what the head of the Amherst order might pull with the count out of the picture and dying.

The Patriarch of the Amethyst Order will pull whatever he and his two battle wizards want to pull. Who's going to stop him?

Sleepers are more like surprise berserkers. They could trigger off the wrong dead or defeated enemies left too close.

Beyond that, theres buried undead and spectral undead surprises on the menu.
In what language? Reikspiel? Because in German it means singercritical. Song critic would be Liederkritiker or Gesangskritiker. Kritikerin since we're female.
We sure critical'ed the Singer!

I know Reikspiel is broken German. Just felt like making sure people notice the difference. If anything I'm curious what BoneyM's process of deliberately breaking his translations is. Especially since Dämmerlichtreiter is actually correct German for Twilight Rider.

This.

Funny thing is that even though German is my mother tongue I couldn't understand much of what the first one was trying to say while the second one seemed pretty clear. Only slight grammar mistakes in every sentence :p.

I google translate two words, play around with synonyms until I get words that sound good to my non-German-speaking ear, and then I smoosh them together. It doesn't surprise me that it's hit and miss as to whether it makes sense in the end.

There's two takes on Reikspiel as a language: that Reikspiel is English and Old Reikspiel is German, or that Reikspiel is German and Old Reikspiel is Latin. The former is best for verisimilitude, since it means that the language I'm writing the dialogue in is the same as the language being spoken, but I've got soft spot for the latter because it's one more language I can loot. If I can help it I'll avoid having to answer it one way or the other so that everyone can continue on with their own interpretations.

It is canon that all Old World languages share a common ancestor and are, to a greater or lesser extent, mutually intelligible. There's a theory that they're also all descended from the language of the Old Ones, and therefore shares a common ancestor with the Elven and Lizardmen tongues.

I missed the trait being added to the update after I made my last post. There is dissonance between the trait and the way the wound Is described when I read the update but we have it. So because I think that assassins are not something we could realistically face in the next update I will switch to this vote. We should not just sit and watch the count die because that will not help our girls mind set.
[x}The plan exists independently of Van Hal; if necessary, it will outlive him. Take command.
If we take command we will have a working command structure as BoneyM said and we can use that to send orders that Kasmir is to be found as soon possible and informed of the count's situation. The light wizard is Magister level and considering he is called the Sunscryer there is a good chance he does not know anything about healing with Hysh which is not something a lot of members of the College of Light study. The only person in the army who we know for sure can save Van Hal's life is our Warrior Priest of Sigmar who we need out of the fight as soon as possible so he has the strength needed to heal the count. If he burns everything he has fighting in the town then the count could be SOL.

Although BoneyM does taking this option mean we have to charge in to the city or could we just organize the search for Brother Kasmir.
[X] Somewhere in that town-turned-battlefield is Brother Kasmir. Leave Van Hal's side. Find him. Sigmar will heal Van Hal.

Basically we nearly got cleaved open but are running on sheer adrenaline and pissed offness that we don't feel it.

Yet.
Human biology is pretty interesting considering that past a certain degree of injury your body opts to stop telling you how fucked up you are and lets you keep going.

... Wait, Jovi Sunscryer as in the inventor of Wyrdglass Jovi Sunscryer?

@BoneyM, is this the thing where names might be the same but the people are definitely different?

It means going in to find him yourself. Runners have been sent to try and find proper healers already.

... Wait, Jovi Sunscryer as in the inventor of Wyrdglass Jovi Sunscryer?

In the canon universe and a few decades down the road, yes. In this universe, he's just a Magister and there's absolutely no guarantee he'll end up anything like his canon counterpart.

[X] By Van Hal's side. Whatever happens.

We're wounded, and I don't think pushing our luck is being a good idea. Also, possible sneak-ghoul assassins, like those we had infiltrating the Eagle Castle.

What's Wyrdglass?

Those orders have already been sent.

Take command means taking command, not a great move when wounded and as far as I'm aware not part of the official military command structure.

We have our Marshall, our generals and the Dwarf commanders who actually rescued us. Let's not get in the way because we're trying to seize glory, no one wants to be that guy.

Yep, suborning the chain of command or rushing out to die both seem suboptimal at this time.

Let's not get in the way because we're trying to seize glory, no one wants to be that guy.

Methinks Gustav does...

"Gustav, the floor is yours."

"And no finer stage could a man hope for," replies Gustav with a savage grin, and hurries off to where his men are waiting - sword and spearmen gathered from every regiment in the Army of Stirland, hand-picked by their officers for their level of fitness. "Last one there buys the first round!" is his rallying cry, and Van Hal just rolls his eyes as Gustav charges, the men hot on his heels as they rush to join the knights holding the gatehouse.

God I'm really anxious and looking forward to the next update.
Anyone else have that too?
I mean I'm always happy to see updates of cool quests but this anticipation I feel right now is really something else.

That seems to be a pattern - I showed it to a native German family some time ago and they didn't get the joke in the first one at all, but thought the second one was great.

I speculate it's because the first is more English and the second more German structurally, but with superficial spelling differences that make it look like the other language on top, and the spelling+vocab is easiest to notice as a language cue. The grammar mistakes are often borrowed from the other language's grammar.
For example, "You will be out thrown" looks English from the vocabulary, but English would always say thrown out. Putting the verb later is a German habit.
Likewise with "Fullfilled", English does not have this word and English does not allow you to put together words that way. An Englishman is beaten down, not downbeaten. But German, as I understand it, is fine with niedergeschlagen.
