[x] [LIBRARY] Barak Varr booksellers
-[x] Metallurgy
-[x] Druchi
-[x] Manners and Etiquette

Until Boney says something about M&E I'm going to go for it.

And even if it's only works for the faction the book is from. Having something on most of the factions we work with won't be a bad thing.

I'd rather just get Druchii books as a topic from [LIBRARY] later on. If there's a pressing need we should choose it as a topic, and if there isn't then it can wait.

It's actually spelled "Druchii", but with this many votes it'd be a pain to get everyone to correct it.

Accounts from escaped slaves or Drucchi defectors might be one of the ways to get true insight into the culture but I wonder if any of those even exist (and who would sell them to us)...

The grey college probably had the best inside track there. LM Dude who formented slave rebellions should be willing to help a colleague out, right?

....he's not going to like the idea of us talking to druuchi at parties very much at all, is he.

Hate to say it after I argued for Strygos and writing the coin book, but the Athel Loren argument convinced me.

What do people think about out of pocketing Imperial Extensive? That's only 100gc, half our income, so we still net positive. It gives us the narrative bonus of knowing what the Imperial common scholarly knowledge of the Druuchi is.
Wouldn't Eonir Extensive books on dark elves be better? The more common Imperial books we'd get on the Druchii would be military-focused ones (I imagine that one grey wizard would've wrote the rarer political books, but those wouldn't be what we're buying), while the Eonir books would have a greater emphasis on politics and diplomacy. Given what context of our encounters with the Druchii, I think the Eonir books would be more narratively valuable.

Actually... speaking of that @Boney do the Eonir have any Druchi books? Sorry if this has been asked before but it's been a while and I do not think any of the search terms for that are unique enough to do a search in the thread unfortunately.
No, they were isolated from Ulthuan during the Sundering and haven't had enough contact with them since to build up a corpus.

In hindsight, I'm kind of curious about how the Empire and Dwarves were able to have that many books on the Eonir when the Eonir themselves were too isolated to write books on the Empire and Dwarves.

There's an argument to be made (usually by Slaaneshi cultists) that Slaanesh is the most powerful chaos god, because as the God of Desire, They rule the other three gods—after all, what is Khorne but the desire for bloodshed and violence, what is Nugle but the desire for stasis and comfort, what is Tzeentch but the desire for change and self-improvement?

All are subservient to the Lord of Desire, the Prince of Perfection, the Master of Excess, for what are those things, but pure emotion in it's rawest form, run rampant and unrestrained? To be a disciple of Chaos, to liberate yourself from everything except your own needs and impulses, is to be a disciple of Slaanesh. Drugs and sex and physical sensations are but mere gateways to the freedom self-indulgence brings.
Generally speaking, there is more than just those to the other 3. All 4 can really make the same exact claims about all of the others. But then again: Chaos is delusional. Their gods are no different.
