Man, could you just imagine having every single book on the ancestor gods in existence. Not that useful (unless you are an ice dragon I guess?) but kinda fun.
Everything we have on Ancestor Gods is +1 Dwarven for the main seven. I imagine a 6 on that table would've given us Extensive and Esoteric Dwarven on all of them for a start, and then maybe Extensive and Esoteric Imperial on top of that, if the Empire has enough for those topics.
Now I have an image of Mathilde asking her contacts to get her as many books as they can and them coming back with "HAVE YOU HEARD THE GOOD WORD ABOUT THE ANCESTORS?" Maybe they were worried for Mathilde's dwarven soul.
Man, could you just imagine having every single book on the ancestor gods in existence. Not that useful (unless you are an ice dragon I guess?) but kinda fun.
Though given the sheer breadth of their skills/domains it could include a whole lot of general information. Even discounting things that would be guild secrets you would get the early histories and foundational information for just about every major dwarven institution.
Yes. The thing about Dwarven architects is that if you tell them you want impractically large doors, they get offended at the implication that you weren't already going to get impractically large doors.
Hmm. Maybe there's the prospect of 'double tap' as an extension maneuver once the style is complete.
The third Rune on our sword is the Superior Skill nullify-magical-buffs.
I'm no swordsman, but I am picturing a combination of guard bypass and momentum dumping might allow effectively 'two strikes in one swing', for use on 'hardened' targets...?
Bypass their parry, hit say the arm, dispel their buffs, if it doesn't cut through* because of those buffs, teleport sword again, pick up empty-handed momentum and return sword to connect a second strike into say the torso. Cannonball Rune means as I understand it we don't need big swing momentum to communicate the intent to cut.
* the conditional is quite possibly too much to process mid swing, so the whole hypothetical double tap may have to be initiated with that intent.

Before you return to Laurelorn, you commission the making of a Dwarven axe to human dimensions, and arrange for it to be delivered upon completion to Baba Brzeginias of the village of Gerdouen. Her aid was a great help in dealing with the Gryphon Wood issue and bringing Kislev in to the Waystone Project, and though she likely did it in order to rid her forest of a dangerous interloper, that is no reason for ingratitude, especially if there is a possibility of needing to call on the knowledge and capabilities of the Hedgewise again in the future.
While your Gyrocarriage is refuelling at Barak Varr, you drop in on your bookseller contacts there and, on top of giving them a bag of Kislevite gold and telling them to turn it into Bretonnian books, you give them a list of the topics you have a less than exhaustive coverage of in your library and the titles you currently have in them and tell them that Karak Eight Peaks will pick up the bill for every new addition to that section, and will require only a modest discount for volume. From the thoughtful look in their eyes you're fairly sure they realize that this will represent quite an opportunity to clear out accumulated unsold inventory at almost full price, and you've no doubt that there'll be junior members of their Clan delving through every inch of their warehouses before long for materials they can offload into your growing library. While this may not be the most directed means of filling out your library, the sheer volume it should result in will be something to behold.
Turning your mind to the future as you board the Gyrocarriage once more, you're very aware that it has been two years since you began pursuing the Waystone Project, and though you're quite proud of having managed to bring in quite a diverse group of contributors, on paper you have nothing to show for it. And that begins to matter now that you have brought in four human contributors who do not have centuries of lifespan to wait, and who have responsibilities and ambitions of their own tugging at them. It will be very difficult to justify any further delays to the beginning of the Waystone Project, as any further recruitment you might make could very easily be countered by others withdrawing after years of no visible progress being made.
You have five action points (AP) you can apply without engaging in overwork. For every two AP spent across all members of WEB-MAT, including recruiting new members, you can spend one 'free' additional AP with any member of WEB-MAT. WEB-MAT actions are performed by Mathilde alongside that person when possible, such as studying something alongside that person, cowriting a paper together, one teaching the other, both of them learning something new, et cetera.
Current overwork status: [ ] [ ] [ ] Each box will be filled by one action of overwork, and will take the two turns after that to fade as you recover. The first box incurs no penalty. The second will give a -10 penalty to all actions during the first turn of recovery. The third will give a -20 penalty to all actions on both turns of recovery.
Overwork incurs no penalties on the turns taken, only on the turns recovering from it. You can take as many actions of overwork as you have unfilled boxes.
When you use overwork it fills the left-most empty box, so [-][ ][ ] becomes [-][+][ ], not [+][-][ ]. All boxes recover in parallel and independent from one another, but second and third apply maluses on your actions during that cooldown period.

You can literally write the book on a topic for the same amount of effort as two papers; this can be split over multiple turns. You don't need to have all the pieces to do so, but it would be more efficient and impressive if you did.

- There will be a eighteen hour moratorium. Voting will be in plan format.
- I've got a feeling I said 'remind me of X if I forget it' a lot more than I've added things. If so and you remember what X was, please speak up.
- This is about as loud a hint you're going to get that if you delay the Waystone Project any further, there may be consequences.
Off the top of my head, the only things I remember were an option to reach agreements with Karaks for their books (this came up when we were talking about Vlag) and an option to go book mining

She smiles at you. "The Cult would be a lot more accepted if everyone went about worshipping Him the way you do." She looks around the empty Hall while you try to decide how to respond to that.
Looks like I picked the right night to have horrific insomnia. Pretty good haul, bookwise; some subjects unlikely to come up, but a bunch more that are, and ones we likely weren't going to fill out any time soon.
Here are the latest versions of the plan drafts I've been working on for the last while:
[-] Plan Disregard WEBMAT, Acquire AP
-[-] One Overwork Action
-[-] COIN: The Father
-[-] WEB-MAT: Hire someone as a full-time Gyrocopter pilot (Adela)
-[-] Lay the foundations: work with the current members of WEB-MAT and the Waystone Project to build a single unified framework for understanding the Waystones.

-[-] Attempt to bring a Major House or Ward into the Waystone Project (Tindomiel)

-[-] Investigate how the Vitae reacts to a power stone.
-[-] EIC: Investigate what trade goods the Eonir might be willing to import from the Empire.
-[-] KAU: Decide who your library staff will consist of, and go about recruiting them.
-[-] SERENITY: Write a book: Windsoak Mushrooms (1/2)

With EIC/KAU/Serenity actions left off the board for now, since I don't have very strong opinions and I'd like to see discussion on that. EDIT: It was pointed out to me that throwing out ideas was probably better for generating discussion than leaving it blank.
The core of this plan skeleton is the fact that, per Boney, "Lay the foundations" keeps our wizards busy without starting the timer of "they get frustrated if we leave them with nothing to do," and so we can focus on the things that Mathilde needs personal AP to do or which otherwise don't make use of our existing wizards -- we'll have lots of opportunities in the future for WEBMAT AP, but this is the best time to do stuff with our personal AP before the Waystone project eats it all. So we get our gyrocarriage operational so we can commute long distances on our own schedule and bring friends with us, lay the foundations, recruit Tindomiel (being the magic-using Major House who seems most compatible with our goals), progress Branarhune, progress AV, and either pick up Hedgewise or study that Ghyran nut with Panoramia. My personal preference is the version with the Father (as I've said many times, I don't think the Gambler is a must-have on Lay the Foundations), but I would not shed too many tears if we held off on grabbing the Hedgewise for now.
EDIT: EICwise, check to see if the Eonir are interested in trade at all. Librarywise, bookmining because folks seemed super into it and my stance has changed over the last few days. Serenitywise, start that mushroom book so that the Journeymen of six colleges will have a new tool in their pockets to help them (and maybe some people with more time and interest in the problem can crack Shyish and Chamon).
EDIT2: Boney clarified that the only thing stopping us from opening the library to public use is a staff, so swapping KAU action to that.
Again, I cannot emphasize enough how much of an opportunity this turn is to do personal AP stuff before we return to the WEBMAT juggle.
Off the top of my head, the only things I remember were an option to reach agreements with Karaks for their books (this came up when we were talking about Vlag) and an option to go book mining
Added:
[ ] The many legends about the amount of books contained within and under Castle Drakenhof still haunt you. Organize an expedition to mine the ruins for books. (NEW)
and tweaked the 'another library' option to make it applicable to Karak archives.
For notes sake; I'm looking for a plan that puts focus on the Waystone Project, but also includes Drakenhof and Shadow Sword Dancing or whatever we're calling it.
Not making my own plan, because maths sucks and I hate it.
That was a total of +47 stuff for the books which at the cost of 50 Gold/+1 would be 2350 worth of books if we had gotten them normally. It is really nice to have that Old Hold bankroll
I'd prefer to bring in the Hedgewise rather than study the Ghyran Nut since we're doing Lay the Foundations this turn, plus I want to see more of the Hedgewise.
Personally I'd go with the mushroom book for our Serenity action. It's the kind of thing that'd be immediately helpful, and once it's out the Colleges can start going at the Chamon and Shyish problem.
[ ] Write something else: My Best and Oldest Friend
I've been told these are last turns values, all current paper options are currently Faded and not on any timer.
