Yeah, that makes sense. Are the votes counted together in some way once the voting is closed, or is Vlag doomed?
Unless the tally is super messed up and literally unreadable, Boney will likely read the tally and come to a conclusion rather than just looking at the top votes. He can discern the way to go based on how it turns out.

Votes can be combined in the tally (though I don't know how to do it myself) and that also filters out people who voted for two different phrasings after they are combined, but for everyone who counts the mispelled votes in the tally together manually (like myself) someone voting for both phrasings is really annoying and also kind of pointless. Can I move you to drop the mispelled one?
Depends on the jewels. Diamonds have useful industrial properties. I also know there are a number of uses that certain minerals that make jewelry can be used for, but you'd have to ask an expert foor the specifics on how Quartz can be useful for glassmaking or abrasives. Also, before the advent of synthetic dyes and the like, jewels were used for dyes and pigments. You know you can look this up on google right?
Sorry. Yes, I know that precious stones have industrial uses. I didn't know that that was the context you were thinking of when calling this use a waste. Like, jewelry is normal and I thought you were calling this a waste because the ornaments were decorating an office tool instead of a status symbol.
It's roman numerals with extra steps. I don't think it needs to be explained why it would suck for counting big numbers.
Oof. I completely forgot about that. They might be okay with a keyboard, but if you have to draw them out manually they seem like a big pain.
I actually don't know if they are better or worse than actual Roman numerals. On the one hand there's no confusing numbers like IL or XMII, but on the other hand I have no idea how the numbers between 144 and 999 even look in Klinkarhun. For once the Dawi should accept that the Umgi managed to do something better and switch over to Arabyan numerals (or whoever invented base 10 in Warhammer).
Doesn't seem like it's really working, though. There have been zero changes in those votes except for my own. Maybe if it stays that way I'll switch back, but if the vote doesn't consolidate it won't win so this won't matter anyway.
I trust that with minor differences like this Boney will consolidate. But I also think that if one phrasing has 90% of the votes, the other phrasing might not contribute to the end result, so I'd rather have the one we settle on be the more comprehensive one.
Dozen of Dozens. Granddozen i assume. I know the name of the unit in my language, no idea whats it called in english. But thats what it is.

Typically utilized in describing number of livestock around here in ye olde times.
That would be acceptable if their whole system was base 12. But now they have a symbol for Granddozen, but not one for a simple dozen...

There's actually some mechanism built into the tally to consolidate similar votes. I just can't wrap my head around how it works.

The English word is "gross", though it's very archaic and if you use it in casual conversation you will be called a nerd and given a noogie. Probably. Not that I'd know. I'm definitely not a nerd, I am a cool guy who likes sports.

Ahem.
I'm not sure how much experience you have on questing, but that's how all open ended votes turn out. If the thread is the one making the phrasing in a vote with endless possibilities, this is what happens. People will create dozens of different phrasings for the same options, they will vote and then they will leave. Most people are not going to stick around for all the discussion to update their votes, they'll only vote once and then go off to another quest. People like me who only focus on one quest are the minority, most people multitask with at least 2-3 quests, some like Veekie are everywhere on this site. People who haven't caught up usually look at the tally, they get overwhelmed, so they choose whatever appeals to them most and leave.
Yeah; reading through all of the options is overwhelming, so instead of reading through everything, people mostly just look at the top five or ten, vote for whichever look good, and bounce. As such, getting an early lead in the pure write-ins is really good.

Tally -> Manage votes -> drag a vote under the one you want to consolidate with it -> drag it over to the right until it makes a little indent.

Yeah, fair, I'll change back.

Yeah, the Dawi dun goofed their numberin'.
In English, a dozen dozen is a gross.
...and according to the wiki, a dozen dozen in Khazalid is a groz. ok.

[X] See if you can find a Priest of Ranald. You are duty bound to play at least one round of cards or dice with them. Ask how things up North are doing, and how the faith is doing in K8Ps. You've tried to stay out of it, for the most part, but you are curious.

Done. Didn't realize I voted for something twice.

@Nerdasaurus Rex It's a bit late to change it now, but might I ask why you prefer to get the province of Carcassonne or even Bretonnia as a whole on board when we can only really use the Damsels? Or do you hope to get them to bankroll us to some extend? Seems questionable to ask them before we ask the Empire, the Karaz Ankor or Kislev, all of whom we have more of an in with.
[X] See if you can find a Priest of Ranald.
Didn't we just talk to a Priest of Ranald? Or I guess she's more of a Champion since she doesn't preach?

Numerals also suck if you are trying to calculate percentages, which is super important if you're trying to do anything with finance and interest rates.

I just put down Carcassonne because a) they are the dwarf friends and b) the people who we originally investigated to host the waystone project. I didn't really think too hard about it, and it was probably a mistake to single them out rather than, say, the representitive of the King of Bretonnia or the Damsels themselves.

Had Ranald before realizing I had enough stuff I was legit interested in already? I mean won't mind if it wins buuttt gestures to above list.

Looking at the count, do you guys think it is wise to poke the whole dwarf soul thing in the middle of a crowded wedding? I mean we are almost sure OOC that it was and it a political gambit to avoid shame. That does not sound like something we want to poke in public even if it is just to talk to Gunnars about. Now of course we could just pull him aside, but that would look even more odd than with Heidi.

Would there be any interest in something like this:

[X] The Tilean Cult of Myrmidia to discuss the Waystone project.

I also want to invite the Damsels, but it strikes me that we have lots of representation from states of the northern Old World on the project, but nothing from the southern. The Tilean Cult of Myrmidia is a lot broader in scope than the Imperial one, and the Tileans inherited a lot of High Elf ruins, begind what they may have learned themselves.

Similarly, we might want to try:

[X] The Magicians of Araby to discuss the Waystone Project

K8Ps is so far south it's quite plausible they've sent a representative.

We did just debrief the Patriarch of the Jades about a military operation over a pint of beer—I think we'll be fine, especially since Gunnars is very good at discretion.

Love how the smoke from the fire is drifting towards Mathilde. Neat artstyle overall. Not sure why Wolf is sticking out his tongue.
It's an oil painting with a frame, indicating that an artist came over and drew it. Could be artistic liberty, or it could be that Wolf came in after a round of playing with halfling children to "painting bomb" Mathilde. Dogs "sweat" by panting.
