I always wondered how Squirrel Girl was the most powerful hero in Marvel. Obviously she traveled to Warhammer at some point and ate one of those acorns.

That's not really true though- the tsar and Boris were both already on their way here, so Drycha's opposition was at least double what she expected without Mathilde interfering at all.

This assumes she would have had to let a messenger though anyways to bait her primary target in.

I was under the impression the pre Matilde's info bomb this was mostly considered a small local matter that had the Tzar vaguely mobilizing for since he's a giant warhound that considers anytime not on an active war campaign to be The Worst (tm). The "oh shit this is an Actual Issue" mobilizing from everyone, including Boris, happened afterwards.

I agree on spending time with Panoramia, but what makes her a good candidate to examine the Ghyran Nut? To me she seems like the worst candidate possible, since she will want the Nut to feed poor little starving halflings while we want it for politics and the magical stability of the world.

Well she's a Ghyran expert and literally the only one Mathy directly knows who can actually manipulate said wind so that's a big plus. And I legit think it's a misreading of her Character to assume she'd look at a once in a lifetime artifact and then puppy-dog eyes her girlfriend into letting her take it and toss it into a stew. Finally, assuming she can somehow use the acorn specifically (that the Waystone she can casually draw every from can't do) to revolutionize agriculture and soil management? I'd honestly want to give it to her at that point since that legit sounds like one of the biggest impact projects it can be used for. It definitely is compared to sitting around in storage gathering dust.

Huh, thinking about it, the Chamberlain of the Seal probably considers Mathilde his greatest asset for improving the external relations of the empire
Perhaps not his greatest asset, as he probably has a few people working for him directly that may be as good in other ways. But yes, Mathilde does have a very good resume when it comes to building bridges with other cultures.
You have to wonder if there's a secret Kislevite Night's Watch of vampires in the north where those turned nobles who weren't completely bad and had residual loyalty to Kislev were exiled to prey on Norscans and Kurgan.
Maybe. The issue is that such beings can easily change their minds and decide after a few decades or centuries that they should be in charge now. I certainly would not trust vampires with their track record. It is a true pity, as they are an almost ideal anti chaos predator, too.

I would not be so sure on that ideal... in the long run feeding on animals and corpses can get a vampire to the point of looking like a Strigoi. I imagine that long term feeding off chaos corrupted mortals and animals would also have an effect, likely similar to feeding on Dhar... which is to say going insane.

Yeah, the resulting Dhar just makes sure he goes full Fenrir. Never go full Fenrir.

Unless we cast off the weakness of the articles and finally create the Ulgu answer to Necromancy, ushering forth the age of our undying rule. Fenrir is perfect for that.

As much as I desperately want to bind Drycha, junping in blind without any preparation is a terrible idea, and I can't justify the extreme risk.

That said, the only practical use of such a binding would be inprisonment. We have to roll to control any Apparition-bindings we perform whenever we summon them; Drycha is too large a threat to have to roll against to "use". Worse than immoral, it would be a mistake.

If we did bind Drycha, the only reasonable course of action would be to transfer her to an object to imprison her, and then perhaps see if we can get her to talk - promising to save some trees in exchange for lore or somesuch. If she refuses, then we've still secured a hostile Legendary Lord. It would be a big deal.

Still, it's a big risk we weren't prepared for.

Oh, not feeding off of them, no. But in terms of just flat out fighting and murdering them? Vampires are amazing.

I imagine a "successful" binding of Drycha would basically be locking both of us into a perpetual mind war where we keep adding new restraints as Drycha breaks/slips from/disables them.

In the unlikely case that binding wins, and succeeds, i suspect our priorities will go from "capture the insane murder tree" to "get rid off the insane murder tree" in no time flat.
I don't think the bindings themselves will add compulsion to obey, so the best case scenario would be us having a raving genocidal psychopath in our head.
Possibly interesting, but not a good long term development, so getting her to the grey lords for somekind of long term containment would probably be in order.
