There's a lot of war gods (because duh, Warhammer) but 'good' assassination related deities aren't as prevalent.
Targeted assassination viewed as a mercy when the alternative is bloody combat can be considered as touching on Shallya's domain in the same way that running around with a large sword and commanding armies touches on Ranald's domain when done in the same way Mathilde does it.
The Thief of Armies* to train the Scalpel of Shallya**? I like it.
* We stole the first one from the hands of a dead elector count, the second one from the absent dwarf king, and the third from a dwarf prince who ditched us halfway through the job.
** A devotee of the goddess of healing and mercy, trained to think of the world in terms of huge networks of mostly-innocents run by a few darker masterminds, just from growing up in a trading company. Decapitate the leadership and absorb the largest part you can is how you win. In the same way with healing, cutting away the least amount of tissue that is needed to remove the infection or growth is much better for the patient. In both cases, the trick is to cut as cleanly as you can and err on the side of taking too little rather than too much. I think that mindset is *perfect* for a traditional grey magister, and probably pretty rare given it's not very ulgu. Though maybe getting a sense for where the boundary between "too much" and "not enough" is, in a sort of ulgu divination use.
For corn flakes specifically, fruit juice is the way to go. Orange or multivitamin.
And trying to bring some relevance to this post: DL characters, if they were cereals.
I like this enough to excerpt your whole list and give my own.
Panoramia: Whole grains thing. Hearty, solid flavor. Maybe not super exciting, but solid and filling
Nah. Panoramia is one of those that looks healthy but actually tastes sinfully good. Cracklen' Oat Bran.
Kragg: The oatmeal your grandma made from an ancient family recipe. The taste is supreme, but also irreproduciable by anyone that hasn't spend a lifetime making it, and will be lost with the turning of the age until only pale reflections and fading memories remain. Unless one of her greatgrandkids shows the dedication to learn it properly, hmpf.
Kragg, to me, is the closest a cereal can be to a rock and still be edible. Grape Nuts.
Heidi: Confusing, colorful, yummy but probably also bad for you. The packaging is unclear about the ingredients.
I like all of this! Specifically I'd say Fruity Pebbles, because I love them and they are this.
Melkoth: The box where you forgot when you bought it, but it's still good when you need it.
This dude is old-school cereal, from almost before cereal. Shredded Wheat, but the hand-size blocks of it, not the spoon-sized ones.
Cython: Frosted flakes, literally. Add them to some lemon sorbet to give it some extra texture.
I dig it. He's grrrreat!
Abelhelm: Your favorite flavor as a kid, that is not being produced anymore. Nostalgia may or may not have blinded you to the real quality.
Hmm. He's a dark, brooding sort of cereal that all the young questors love. I'm thinking Coco Puffs.
Qretch: A foreign flavor you picked up on a trip. Quickly running out and will be gone before too long.
Lucky Charms. The limited time marshmallows that were sooooooo good, but somehow not as good without the grain cereal part that was actually kinda bad on it's own.
Roswita: They brought back the Abelhelm flavor, but it was
different. You hated it instantly. After some distance, you came to appreciate and like it for its own merits.
See, I like this vibe, but the one I want to use for her is Jam-Filled Frosted Miniwheats, and I don't really feel like Abelhelm is Frosted Miniwheats like that would imply... He's too chocolate.
Regimand: Your fathers favorite mixture. Not quite your style these days, but it did shape your taste, and you'll always appreciate it.
Wheaties. Solid, plain, tasty, taught me about what cereals were before I branched out, but I still buy them regularly.
What, no Belegar or duckling club? No Horstmann? No Asarnil?
Belegar... Belegar would be this cereal I put together in high school as a "business" lesson project: wheaties glazed with a bit of honey and cinnamon, and dried strawberries mixed in. I made one box and it was a lot of work for it, but the work paid off.
Horstmann: Rice Crispies. Mixes great with other things, chatters when you give them milk, and kinda a vanilla version of Heidi.
Arsanil: Corn Flakes. Because it's a good cereal (with Khorne references!) that was made because of some really bone-headed ideology.
Hubert: Corn Pops. Shiny and friendly and sweet at first, but less substance than you might have thought at first sight, because he's kinda sitting on his magic.
Johann: Golden Grams. Obviously.
Adela: Cheerios. Looks kinda basic at first glance, but plays very well with mixes and has a wonderfully textured substance to it that's actually kinda unique.
Max: Granola. It's quiet and tasty and you forget how much sheer mass is attached to it.
