Do kind of hope that we will be given the chance to offer the flask to Boris before the fight.(;for the fight, before people get mad at me for trying to get rid of it)

1: would neatly get around some of the limits of the flask if some else used it in the big fight.
2: a big flask of hard spirits that literally let you belch fire balls is not only so Kislev, but just so Boris that I can't believe it wasn't done in canon.

Don't tell me that giving the sort of russun/sort of polish bear man flaming vodka (the alcohol can be anything) flash doesn't tickle something in your soul…

No. Absolutely fucking not. Do not entrust powerful fucking artifacts to any people that you are beyond certain are loyal to you, and sometimes, not even then.

An heir to continental power we met once is not that.

I think they mean temporarily. I'd still wouldn't give him the flask without a long tutorial on how to safely use it. And we definitely don't have the time for it either way.

That doesn't matter. What the fuck do you do when he decides to keep while half the army of Kislev is around.

Or on slightly less bad note it falls in enemy hands. We gave away the torc sure, but that was small potatoes and it was someone we could browbeat. Hell fucking no, its not leaving our hands.

We steal it back with our (in Kislev) unmatched stealth abilities and divine favor?
While Ice witch is around? Do i need to remind you that a group of orcs and couple of marauders once nearly killed us on two separate occassions?

Stop treating weapons of mass destruction as a stuff we can pass around to people we barely know. Someone gets ahold of it and commits genocide and thats on us. Literally, misuse of artifacts granted to us will absolutely count against us.

And you stop fear mongering a scenario we have not the slightest Indication for.
The prince of Kislev starting a International incident over a magic trinket is as farfetched as it gets...

Kislev has tussled with Empire several times and there will be no incident if everyone aligned to Empire happens to tragically perish to the forces of perfidious Athel Loren in the coming battle.

While i highly doubt Boris would do shit like that, its still pretty good example of not giving people access to our stuff, because you just can't trust other people that you do not know at all.

Don't gild your head unless you can take arbitrary number of peasants.

Ah yes, their going to stop us teleporting away and calling in our allies. You know... The karaz ankor? The colleges? There is exactly one ice witch there and I doubt she could stop both Mathilde and Johan. Like your scenario is straight out of a bad action movie...

I repeat. We nearly got axed by less than 20 orcs and about 3 marauders. Some of it even happened pretty recently, do you recall? He could even do the classic "Oh i lost it in battle, no idea where it is nope".

And its illustrative. Stop trusting people that can't be trusted with pinnacle of destructive magic. That shit cost 20 favour its about as powerful as enchantments go. Its not meant to be passed to other people.

Might as well take a vote to leave Liber Mortis in our fief too. Give it to the shepherd boy.

Man your overreacting hard. Yes we might lose in fights we actually take. Fleeing a fight is much easier. And again, this would be a International incident involving at least three nations. The karaz ankor would stand with us on a unprovoked attack. If your making up "what ifs" stories then at least make plausible ones.

While I do agree that we shouldn't give the flask to other people, you are fearmongering and this example is wildly off base as the two objects have vastly different circumstances.
I am not fearmongering i am illustrating hypothetical examples of why leaving stupidly powerful shit in hands of people we know fuckall about is dumb idea.

EDIT: Basically it sets horrible precedent and is horrendously irresponsible and any sort of potential fuck up is on us. Among slightly lesser "fearmongering" stuff like lending Tsarevitch something he ends up blowing himself up with.

Er... why would Boris trust the strange magic from the strange magic college enough to put fire inside his mouth? I mean really that thing looks sketchy as hell to hand to the heir of a major power. Sure he has our word that the fire will not set off inside his mouth and turn him into ash, but what does he know about our safety standards?

I think people have gotten a bit to used to how Mathilde treats magic. Most people do not see a scrap of magic in their lives and of those who do they tend to distrust any magic item that was not made by the gods (preferably theirs) or dwarfs.

Hell no, everyone that's played the TT knows Okkam's the most powerful spell in the game.

Even Boney has listed Okkams as a 18 favour enchantment vs PSX 15 favour.
Okkam's is a very useful spell. But not the most powerful. Power being defined by the casting value. Also, what army you're playing matters massively for that one. Skaven have little use for it, but Elves or Dwarfs find it absurdly good, for the two rounds of combat it lasts.

What if not done: Battle potentially happens without heavy infantry support. Note, they still likely have a shitload of levies.
Kislevite levies are cavalry. Boney's going with the "all of Kislev fights as Winged Lancers" version of canon. Their only infantry is professional military.

And I agree with you, but the way you are framing your argument looks like fearmongering and there is a world of difference between our flask and the Liber Mortis.

Random shower thought: Mathilde recently acquired an arcane mark which causes shadows she is in to 'grow deeper and cling more tightly to her'. Mathilde is about to enter the Forest of Shadows. I'm not sure if that's going to lead to anything, but if it does it could be pretty bad, like walking into a smoke filled room with our Mantle of Mist arcane mark.
