It's a concern of mine that not sticking to the plan, and more specifically not doing what we told the dwarfs we would do, could be a grudge worthy offence. Circumstances don't matter to the dwarfs, just did you keep your word or not?
We are damned for it anyway. If anybody finds out that Liber Mortis was in our possession, there is no way anyone will believe we did not read it. We might as well do the deed if we will be punished for it anyway.See:
There might be some wiggle room to allow us to reverse engineer a spell that we've seen used, but that ends when we read the foundational text of modern necromancy. We read that book and we are marked for death for the rest of our life, and our life depends on keeping that hidden forever. Honestly, I am really tired of a new potential avenue of study popping up and people immediately saying that we totally need to read the Libre Mortis to make the most of it, like it's just some lucky drop that gives a +1 to magic when equipped. The book was never a reward to be used but a responsibility to be managed. It is only with this new artifact that studying the book isn't a complete death sentence.
[x] This wealth is the future of Karak Eight Peaks. Stay here with the Hoard
Let us remember that sacred lesson:
Think about it, what would a cult to a god thieves do if they know someone had an artifact of the that god of thieves... no, what would their holy duty be.I wonder if it is possible to gain rep with the Cult of Ranald, because having a god given artifact should probably count for something in that regard.
Good news! We have this nifty new amulet that makes people believe our lies. We can just say we never figured out how to unlock the box.We are damned for it anyway. If anybody finds out that Liber Mortis was in our possession, there is no way anyone will believe we did not read it. We might as well do the deed if we will be punished for it anyway.
Here's what we said we were going to do.It's a concern of mine that not sticking to the plan, and more specifically not doing what we told the dwarfs we would do, could be a grudge worthy offence. Circumstances don't matter to the dwarfs, just did you keep your word or not?
We have done that.[*] Join the Rangers in infiltrating Karag Nar.
-[*] Neutralize Black Orc priests.
Yes there is.If anybody finds out that Liber Mortis was in our possession, there is no way anyone will believe we did not read it.

The full sentence from the book was "There is no honour among thieves, yet trust in your brothers and sisters."; I always figured that it ended there because you didn't need to be honorable (a concept of the nobility) to be decent to each other."There is no honour among thieves, yet trust in your brothers and sisters, for there is honour among Ranaldans."
Dwarfs are not idiots. So long as Oaths are not involved and we have a good reason, it's fine. It's a concern of mine that not sticking to the plan, and more specifically not doing what we told the dwarfs we would do, could be a grudge worthy offence. Circumstances don't matter to the dwarfs, just did you keep your word or not?
Well, that does neatly handle my concern. I'll change my vote when I get back to my computer.

I'm pretty sure the dwarves would understand"when in doubt, fortifyIt's a concern of mine that not sticking to the plan, and more specifically not doing what we told the dwarfs we would do, could be a grudge worthy offence. Kragg the Grim has updated his GrumblrLet's all just take a moment to appreciate that when something fucking weird happens, Kragg now thinks 'probably that fucking wizard.' And he's RIGHT.
I don't think we can deny that among the Expedition, we are now That Guy. If dwarves had memes...
The grobi are acting up, and it's probably that damn Mhornokrul again.
#Wretched winds of magic #Why did we ever give the umgi fire
If we're lucky, the Citadel combatants might mutually annihilate each other and let the Expedition take that area as well. Good firing position (provided it's not completely leveled) aside, there's apparently a secondary treasure vault underneath the Citadel that we could use.You know, looking on the bright side, if the local regular orcs and goblins are focused on purging the night goblins of the Crooked Moon and the black orcs of the Broken Tooth then there might be an opportunity to seize far more of Karak Eight Peaks than we expected, depending on how today's battle goes.
And we certainly aren't getting the one in Kvinn-Wyr without a Slayer Throng, Irondrakes, and/or a battery of Flame Cannons.Belegar had made a fair few promises on behalf of the legendary riches of Karak Eight Peaks, but the main treasure vaults of the Karak were almost exactly opposite the Expedition, under Karag Zilfin, and the lesser ones were within Kvinn-Wyr and beneath the Citadel.
