Am I the only one that sorta feels like Katarin stole a major asset in one of our daughters away from us.

like i get shes doing her thing in Kislev and thus protecting Ostland through it but I still think we sent a daughter away under the pretense and the idea that she would be trained as a ice witch so that we would have her as agent and then she got completely culture bombed away from us.

feel abit cheated there but it does make inuniverse sense that Katarin would do something like that on purpose for her own gain, so I cant be too mad about it, only a bit miffed.

still i cant be the only one feeling like this can I?
Well, the writing was on the wall for a long time. Alexandra's visits to Ostland over time showed that was going to happen. The players sent Alexandra to Kislev to profit from ledstali, and they did profit. The ledstali project was unlikely to be finished in a decade, that was expected. Once Alexandra was in Kislev there was little left to do. It was either kislev or Aurellion. But Aurellion has the Arcane Fulcrum.

At least Alexandra is stil alive, and has her emotions, unlike Anna. Alexandra also wanted this, is helping the empire by being there in Kislev at this moment in a way that keeping Alexandra in Ostland wouldn't have done. Pros and cons.

I know, I know. But there is only so much we can do for them. His sigh is a pained one, no doubt because of how much Eldyra has retreated into herself once more.

He had done his best to keep up the Princess of Tiranoc's spirits after she had been recaptured by Alyssa,
This just trails off here.
There is also a pack of red-skinned reptilian creatures that some of the Asus recognize, as does Hultressa as 'salamanders' of Lustria.
Should be "Asur" I think?
(Courage to Cowards: 67-Druchii Depredations(20)-Generational Abuse(10)+Black Ark Civil War(15)+Warpath Successes(35)+Diplomacy of Heroes(20)-Druchii Attentions(5)-Warband Slowing(5)=27/100)
Others have pointed this out already, but this should add up to 97. Quite a sizeable difference.

... That, or, maybe the actual roll was a 7 rather than a 67? That would explain why the end result is a 27 rather than a 97?
EDIT: Wait no, the actual roll can't be a 7. Because it's a net +30, so even if the actual roll was a 7, it'd still come out to 37 rather than 27, so there'd be two typo errors.
So the simplest explanation is still that there was one error rather than two errors. So the simplest explanation is that there was just one typo, and the end result is a 97 rather than a 27.

Uhh, no. Kislev is a major ally. One of the things that taint this relationship is the slavery. One Nat already expressed displeasure in. With Lexi being such a major and powerful player in the Kislev court, this gives us a potent asset in turning the nation away from slavery while helping to mitigate the drawbacks of such.

Kislev has been wounded, but such times allow for great changes. At least this way, the dead will not have suffered and died in vain. Lexi will probs hold much pragmatism on slavery, but hopefully we can convince her that slowly eradicating it from Kislevite culture is best in the long run.
but in the end of the day now, lexi's loyaltys are probably to Kislev first and Ostland second now.

We lost one of our eldest daughters because of Katarins bullshit when we thought we would be gaining another well trained ice witch agent to be utilised by us in the quest and that sorta miffs me abit. and tbh i sorta feel like it should piss Freddy and Natasha more off than what it does considering what their characthers are like.

Lizardmen! Awesome.

And Freddy already friends with their leader, nice.

And assuming that slave inspiration roll was an error, this update will be nothing but upside!

Cause no more time wasting and don't want to help dark elves who are likely to not be friendly to us.

Besides, Voidreaper is so deillusional she thinks her sister wants to take over her position and expects her to rally the other rebels to follow her, especially since she saved them once already. She is expecting her to go to them.

This option throws her off balance.

With Tor and Portal likely under attack at the same-ish time, what will Alyssa choose to defend?
Or she won't have a choice, since she will be caught up in defences of Tor and unable to relocate?

A daughter maybe. But your initial statement of feeling like Kat stole a major Ostland asset is misplaced.

Yes, Lexi always had that potential. Yet nobody can deny that her experience in Kislev's court, among its customs and people, and under the direct tutelage and influence of the greatest ice practitioner in the world (that's human at least) has molded her into the powerhouse she is now.

Something I am completely sure would have turned out differently had she stayed home.

Oh sure, maybe she would've turned out even better at home. But nobody can say for sure now. The path not taken and such.

Dont get me wrong, yes it feels like Freddie lost a daughter, but as with Magnus' wedding showed, she's not lost forever. She's just all grown up now, fighting her own battles. The daughter we knew is irrevocably changed, but part of her is still there deep down.

The twins, hopefully, are doing much to remind Lexi of that fact as well.

Right now, though, the Alexandra of Kislev needs all her training and experience to keep a major ally from falling apart. And nobody can deny that that benefits Ostland or the Empire in the long run.

The Vtuber brain rot is incredibly strong in my brain for the fact that I can only read this name as Boat goes binted lmfao. I blame the shoebox…
Gigi my beloved truly managed to make all of us addicts to brainrot.

Btw since the Druchi are in Norsca and there's a unusually active Slann there educating the warmbloods, I hope he sees the surviving elves and nukes them as the affront to the Old Ones they are.

They're gonna come back home with a bunch of lizardmen and oh look they have a bunch of lizardmen and boats they don't need. Or maybe the high elves would give them a ride back

I think she's gay, i vaguely recall something to that effect.
If I recall correctly Alexandra's marriage prospects came up at some point. With the idea to marry her off, or ask about her gettting married. The QM statement revolved around Alexandra being poliitically important. Thus any marriage she entered would be calculated, and maybe love would exist, however she also gained political pull by keeping herself open.

Just wanna clarify again. I fully get people feeling like we lost Alexandra. But any decent parent feels that way about a child growing up and leaving home, to say nothing of when said child left home before she even grew up.

But I shudder to think what would happen to Kislev if Lexi was not present there.

She's practically the figurehead and in some ways one of the very few hero units the loyalists have left. And Kat's faction would also be lesser without Alexandra's contributions as well.

And now Kat's unavailable and Lexi seems the only way who can lead the loyalists in bringing her back. Plus now she's eliminated the Bokha as a threat while minimizing the damage they did.

Quite frankly I don't care about Kislev, as long as they keep their land safe and stop people from coming over from their border to invade the Empire I don't see any reason to care about how they develop, I imagine most electors who either are near Brettonia or the Borderlands feel the same, the Empire is already a issue to manage without involving itself on foreign policy.
Sure we lost a potential Hero Unit but I don't imagine she would have been critically important for development, after the fiasco with Anna I don't trust their ice magics to be any more stable with the dice than any other non deity controlled human, maybe Anna would have even been better off without it.

Hey torroar, the math here is wrong. It looks like none of the bonuses were actually added in the final calculation, and the final roll should have been 97/100 instead of 27.

This has already been pointed out several times.

No, Anna's ice magic aided her at multiple times in her life. It's a weapon in her arsenal. Anna's permafrost condition also contributed to her surviving Karak Ungor. Anna also became a ice queen, so you know, likely without her permafrost condition Tasha wouldn't be born. Anna has also used her ice magic to keep herself safe from risky things she does. Such as fall out of a dwarf skyship, and latch onto a window wih ice magic. To using ice magic to protect herself in the engineering labs. To using ice magic as a mundane ability to gather water.

Agreed, and honestly she would likely not be the woman she is today if she didn't learn and grow in Kislev in general.

Sure having her in Ostland would have been nice and she could have grown there in own way, but not the same. As it is, she has embraced her heritage quite well, while at the same time knowing Ostland will always be her home too.

We got to trust she can handle herself in the end, and I believe she can.
