once the smoke settles and they realize it was her sister that caused all this alyssa is done even if she recovers from all of the sabotage guilt by association will seal her fate

We may not be able to take the ark out physically, but try to keep in mind how doomed these people are once Malekith finds them.

Right now they are literally banking on a mixture of throwing all the blame on the dead and presenting prized captives to save themselves from being slowly tortured to death and then damned for being the greatest failures in Druchii history.

That's why the Auction is so important.
Alyssa is setting herself (and her personal faction) as the king-making power-broker.

If she has no (potentially) life-saving prizes to hand out, then she's worthless. In fact, being the one in charge it could be argued that the buck stops with her. Making associating with her literal poison.
And, if we manage to not only sow in chaos with the pyramid going up in smoke and steal almost everything from the Auction with Sadrina and Kerina, then all of the blame can indeed be shifted almost exclusively onto her and her mother, screamtaker. Which can make her an even easier scape goat then before when they come back to port and explain everything to Malekith. Still would prefer if we managed to assassinated Voidreaper though, her death causes an extreme amount of chaos on the ark that paralyzes who owns it, and most importantly, moves it, for weeks on end, and gives the ruling power afterwards, to explain themselves for both the disaster at Ostland, but also the fact that they got betrayed by one of their most powerful sorcerer's, a vampire, and a human count that was their prisoner!

[X] Seek out the Cult of Khaine: They will surely know where the prisoners are being kept. As this is a Druchii affair, they will definitely be fielding such probing questions from various other Druchii jockeying for an advantage. But Hultressa has an ace, if one that she will despise using, in the potential faux-offering of her daughter. If things go wrong, it might lead to even worse consequences for Gwendolyn, but it will also surely work and make the Cult focus entirely on Hultressa rather then potentially discerning that you are not a soulless husk and that Johanna is a vampire and not a...whatever it was that serves the Elven Goddess of Vengeance.

Fingers crossed here!

[X] Seek out the Cult of Khaine

We could have told Gwen our plan to fake sell her to the Cult and how her being there would be completely and utterly insane.

She'd under stand subterfuge and deception. Student of a skaven grandmaster assassin she is.

I mean, this is it. This is do or die. If we fail or get caught, Gwendolyn's going to be captured and turned over to Khaine anyway.

Rather, picture this. Gwen is one of the key pieces the Cults could use to come into ascendance. If Khaine gets Gwen, this could be what they need to recover in prestige. If another cult gets her, she could be what they need to rise above Khaine. If Hultressa plays this right, she will hold everyones' attention for a decent while.

Then imagine Alyssa finally bringing out the prizes Asrai and Asur prisoners, only to find... no one? The audience start to mutter, to look at Alyssa. She lost... LOST the prisoners! Or did she? Is this then a trap? The pleasure cults start to notice the Slaaneshi marks on the walls of the Temple of Khaine, hands start to go to daggers. The Khainites sound off, and realize that some among their number are dead, and the prisoners' guards dead to Druchii blades. Alyssa stands with the Coven, and tries to restore order...

And then bombs and explosions are heard, going off in the distance.

Time to go for maximum discourse.

If things go wrong then Gwendolyn is probably fucked anyway

God damn I want Hultressa to step on me

I dunno, man. She's like, more than 7 ft tall and wears 5-6 inch heels a lot of the time, plus has been repeatedly described as a bit more muscular than many of the more slim sorceresses.

I feel like that would hurt.

I think we maid the right disition in not bringing Gwendolyn here. That could have been realy bad

Admittedly, it would have been a pretty hard DC roll, yes. But you also would have gotten more rolls to try and get her back to herself after the first bit of violence. The Cult would have thrown enough bodies to date the urge, definitely.

Holy crap, the imagine of the Asur slaves is... stark to say the least.

Remember, everything and anything that the Druchii do to the Asur is justified. They're the betrayers. The liars. The real assholes, who denied the people of Nagarythe their rightful ascension. Indolent fools. Cowards. They ruined everything. Malekith says so. Morathi says so. Hellebron says so. All the Cults say so. Have been saying so. For thousands and thousands of years. And you felt the glee and joy and unrelenting happiness as you watch them and the lesser chattel of the world die and scream in the temples. So it is right.

It is good to be a Druchii, and to do as Druchii do.

You are strong, you were made strong, by Malekith. And the weak only serve and die, and you can't be weak.

Everything and everyone says so, and anyone who doesn't is just another enemy to be slain or destroyed so the Druchii can continue their unrelenting rise to power and control.

So it must be true.

It has to be.

[x] Seek out a Sorceress of the Coven: Hultressa is still a member of the Coven. She is just a usually distant one. Some of the Coven sisters might perceive weakness in her after her further disconnect when she had her daughter, or might desire conversation with a peer. Or, more likely, a potential threat. They will be more discerning and perceptive thanks to their magical abilities, but might know more of Alyssa's intentions and schedule for the evening. Yet Hultressa does not have the same in with them as she does with the others, especially given that they serve her sister, who killed their adoptive mother in Screamtaker. Blood has no superiority here, only allegiance and power, at least amongst the Coven on the Claw.

As far the other members of the coven know, they share an allegiance and Hultressa has power and seniority on them. She's been standoffish for a while but they've worked together for decades and she did take part in the hit on Screamtaker.

The junior witches draw some security from the fact that the old monsters find them useful and Hultressa is definitely one of the last of those. Alyssa's busy these days and Screamtaker is dead. The Khainites just want one thing from Hultressa but the girl will surely come to them in the end anyway and they have no other reason to please her. It is a motive to cooperate but I think the sorceresses need to keep patronage (matronage) options open is stronger.

Also, the coven is a pillar of Alyssa's power and Hultressa is a pillar of the coven's magical might. Being seen with them reminds the room of that fact. When she makes her move everyone will see that Alyssa's capacity for Big Magic - a major source of legitimacy for a ruling witch - has gone way down. The non-members will have to consider if other coven members will follow Hultressa because they don't know she hasn't been courting them.

I wonder, are Alyssa and Hultressa the oldest Sorceresses left on the Ark?

I suppose it makes sense for the old guard to have stayed with Screamtaker. Was the coup faction split one of generations as well, with the daughters, nieces and granddaughters all turning on their older relatives?
