Boss why was Logan so Worried about one Greenskin Shaman when the vote was about using the explosives to get the Demonic artillery in a uproar the Greenskins could not control when the chosen vote said nothing about trying to kill Bloodwort at the same time.

Also since it cost our young wolf a Eye can I ask if Bloodwort is dead or not considering they waited to try and get him to.

Bloodwort was mentioned being right next to the artillery vomiting loads of green gunk when Regina threw the artillery round that set off the chain reaction.

He is a gooner.

As for why killing him mattered? Regina fixated on him as a target, so Logan kept using his death via the sabotage plan to keep her focused. That's my read, at least.

I mean, it depends on whether they believe that what happened wasn't caused by Genevieve and Cloudhorn, or that it could have been worse without their intervention.
I'd argue that Cloudhorn, assuming she is cured, can confirm that the ritual could have been much worse.

Also, its thanks to Gene that a response by the defenders was able to be build up so fast since from the sounds of it everyone was disorganized and confused after the Waaaagh! foot attack. It was only thanks to her quick actions and Regina and Logan's holding action that the greenskins couldn't take advantage of the small hole in the wall to get inside right away.

Heck, depending on how rest of the siege goes, it might totally blunt them now they are taking steps to plug the hole and such.

I mean, everytime i see regina i moarn we didn't pick her for magnus's waifu.

The sheer plot and story potential for her growing as a person just trumps sabine
Eh, the Hohenzollerns were pretty lacking in intrigue and stewardship specialists at the time, so Sabine was a perfectly valid choice. That, and Magnus and Sabine ended up having a loving and fruitful marriage, which was not guaranteed to be the case had he married Regina.

Don't really see the need to put down Sabine to prop up Regina anyhow, that vote had been decided years ago at this point.

I mean i wasn't even here at that time. And i don't wanna put down sabine i'm basically just saying my opinion and like, imo sabine is by FAR the most milquetoast boring vanilla options of the three, story wise.

The most exciting thing she got us so far was wwe ostland, which is neat, but compared to the story potential of a troubled, traumatised woman who hasn't found love anywhere but in her faith learning to find love with her husband and new family, she is incredibly stale.

Sabine is just.... so, so much less than either of what the other two waifus turned out to be

That's a matter of opinion more than anything else. I wouldn't call Sabine's character of an early capitalist in a society where that's just starting to be a thing flat or uninteresting, as seen in her part of the Mothers of Mallus interlude.

You also assume that a Regina and Magnus marriage would have been as successful as Magnus and Sabine have turned out to be, which is not actually a given. Remember that all of the Hohenzollerns' marriages being as loving as they are is an extreme outlier. Lots of noble marriages did not result in love.

I explicitly said it is my opinion.

And my opinion is that sabine is very, very boring and stale compared to either regina or evangeline. Which btw means i do not find sabine uninteresting as of herself.

She just doesn't even begin to compare in story potential to regina or evangeline.

Eh.
Once freddies and natasha's relationship started getting cracks, we threw actions their way to fix that.

I am certain magnus and regina/evangeline would have been Fine for the same reason, namely we are a bunch of romantics who unlike an inhabitant of this world wouldn't be fine with treating wives as politicals tools and to sleep around

mhmmmmmmm.

You guys remember the Lighthouse of Manann we started to build in our port?
Pretty sure we are scratching the plans we had for it and insted setting up THE LIGHTHOUSE OF MANAAN

can we make like a list of things we could hopefully stuff it with?

elf grade Hysh ligh, dwarf sourced enruned stone
light, bell, Empire mightest temple, marine officer school, chapterhouse of sea templars? monument to the battle...
what am I missing?

Edit: Oskana launcher for flyers and aviary for messenger birds.

Since apparently the rune network suppressing magic is down, or at least not fully functional, I hope wizards among defenders can make themselves known and really lay into greenskins as a nice comeback to their own massive magic attack.

Seems to be really getting ahead of ourselves.

Seems to already be the case, since Jade magisters are being able to heal Logan immediately. And both characters were able to use Divine Battle Magic against the Orcs when they were being kill-funneled.

The High Priestess of sea god is having a moment under the first black ark taken down by human hands.
The Flop you mean ahead of ourselfs?! Mannan is getting his due , might as well put the feeler down

I mean, we still need to like
Actually survive and escape the Black Ark for one
Hope that Maghda's mental instability from the stress of enduring two should-have-been-fatal-and-agonizing attacks head on doesn't lead to the Manaan miracle biting us all in the ass (i.e she just sends a sea monster to sink the Ark without any concern for enslaved/captured folks being able to escape) for two
And then survive whatever else is incoming these days, such as the Beasttide that's still looming on the horizon and the potential consequences of the Greenskin siege depending on how that mess goes/is going/has gone, even if I'm hoping for good shit from there lol
Lots to do before we can consider potential religious megaprojects

We have a budget to consider, need to rebuild Salkalten, sourcing some of what you ask for may not be possible and the Beastide may screw up our population and infrastructure too much to divert resources to this project.

It'll be "make sure our people aren't starving and dying from the devastation our province has endured and potentially will be enduring in the near future" time first I'd suspect
It will help that we built up resources for a prolonged campaign beforehand, since up sure lots of said stockpiled material will go towards rebuilding city to basic standards at least.

Also, besides our main port the damage is limited so don't think any danger of starvation yet, and don't want to assume a Beastide until it happens since that is kinda meta knowledge.

On the possibilities of other options for Magnus's wife, I can understand wanting to see what would have become of Regina, but I feel it's worth noting that given the interactions between Regina and Eva (hope I'm not misremembering the name of Ortrud's daughter) marrying one of them would impact the arc that the other went through. If Regina had been married to Magnus, would Eva have been able to become the sword of justice?

And even if you lament the lost "story potential", mechanically (as cold as that may sound) at least Sabine has done what we wanted from her, greatly aided with upping our income.

I like Sabine plenty. She appeals to me in that she is one of the shakers and movers who is normally insulated from the greater conflict around them, the sorts of merchants/politicians/burghers/etc. who manage to normally grow fat and happy while the grim part of the grim darkness is going on. The sort of snob that Gotrek and Felix would run into while crashing a party, or that Brunner might have found himself taking a clandestine contract from while Brunner would remark on how 'soft' her outside was but how sharp he could see her mind was if only turned to 'stupid' stuff.

Except that once that protective blinder was pulled off of her, instead of gibbering and quailing like so many nobles and richer folk do, she turned her mind and heart to dealing with that just as much. There are plenty of those scenes in Warhammer novels, of the fop who somehow gets in command just breaking apart, or ranting as they die while not fighting that it's not possible, who denies that greenskins or beastmen are ever capable of being a threat, that Chaos as a foe is overblown and there's no need to be cautious or worry about it. Or, of course, the aforementioned parties like the one where that one noble became a quais-Great Unclean One because an idiot tried to treat him with Nurgle stuff and everyone was screaming and came down the stairs and almost no one knew what was happening.

In Warhammer 40K, she's become the noblewoman in the dress that cost 1/3 of a planet's GDP at the party being attacked by cultists who takes a gun off a fallen guard and starts shooting. Or who brains a Dark Eldar pirate as they try to take slaves with a serving tray she picked up. Who marshals wealth and power and influence and crystallizes it into diamonds and iron to slaughter the enemy with, to ensure that plenty is had for supply lines.

And I like that plenty enough.

I remember that vote - and I remember lobbying for Sabine for multiple reasons.

I'd say they turned out as well as was hoped. :)

(Though rereading her early days where she does not get Freddy at all is still hilarious.)
