[X] Yes: This is a chance to salve the wounds that Natasha takes every time you go out to battle. To ease her mind is worth much.
[X] Bedrock: The greatest possible magnitude of this proposed bond, emotions can be more freely felt and shared, as well as more defined distance and direction. Only the elves with the truest and strongest love ever made this choice in the distant past.

[X] The Flowers Above: Let Natasha choose. Whichever she chooses, you will accept. This is something that she did not expect, but seems interested in, enough that you are sure she'll make the right choice. The right choice being whichever choice she makes, that is.

Guys Natasha has agency, The last time we made the decision for her she got pissed off at Frederick for years and severely damaged their relationship. Let's not do that again. and this time leave the decision to her.

Let's go all in.

This is VERY different of that situation... Nat is explicitly asking Frederick what he wants to do here, and she expect an answer, so we should give her one, and not deflecting the question back to her.

Name: Ortrud 'Ori' von Hohenzollern
Birthdate: 2333 IC
Titles: Princess of Ostland

Description: Strong-willed and fierce for a child, young Ori bears the bright fiery hair of her mother, but the strength of frame of her father. With eyes of sharp blue marking her undeniably as her father's daughter, she is depite her red Talabeclander hair unmistakably a Hohenzollern.

Diplomacy: 14+2-2=14
Martial: 13+2+2+2=19
Stewardship: 15+2=17
Intrigue: 19+2+1+1+2=25
Piety: 12+2+2-2=14
Learning: 18+2=20

Trait: Strong – Even as a child she displays greater strength than her peers. (+2 Martial)
Trait: Genius – Possesses a mind brighter than most others. (+2 All Stats)
Trait: Sneak Step - This one has played about with her brother Logan in the shadows, finding gleeful enjoyment in sneaking up on her family. (+1 Intrigue)
Trait: Ruthless – When it comes to the games children play, she plays to win. Always. (+1 Intrigue)
Trait: Slight Psychopathy - Unfortunately, it seems that she was born with a certain cognitive dissonance compared to the average citizen of the Empire. (+2 Martial, -2 Diplomacy, +2 Intrigue, -2 Piety)
Trait: Osmotic Piety - Growing up amongst her family ensured a rather comprehensive religious education. (+2 Piety)

Ok, I was looking over the family's stats again, and I realized that Ori is fucking scary. Not so good at Diplo or Piety, stewardship is OK, but 19 martial, 20 Learning, and 25 in intrigue... at 9 years old. She may carry Brain Wounder as her sister's champion or for herself, But MAYBE she should be trained in poisons and daggers. She has the stats of an assassin.

For now...

Forgive my general flailing on the subject of doing close rereads of long chunks of story, but would you mind helping me steer my attention back to the place where Natasha does as you describe?

My read is that Natasha's doing that "I'll accept whatever you're comfortable with, even if I secretly have a preference that I'm trying not to pressure you into accepting" thing.

Being a child, the QM chops her stats in half, until she's an adult, which means until she's 16? Magnus was 16-18, somewhere around there in KU with better martial than Freddy had on his first campaign.

Ori (with stats cut in half, rounded up)
Diplomacy: 7
Martial: 10
Stewardship: 9
Intrigue: 13
Piety: 7
Learning: 10

Scale:
1: You are terrible at this
5: Below Average
10: Average, this is OK
15: Above Average
20: Fabulous
23: Few are naturally this talented, but many can get here through their own effort
26: Years of work

[X] Subsoil: The middle tier, truly strong emotions might pass through the bond, as well as a vague sense of direction but no real scale of distance. A method of some Saphery mothers started in the era before Malekith to keep watch on more unruly children.
