The children are vulnerable to, in case of assassination attempts or nightmare rituals or corrupting rituals like what nearly took down Natasha when she was giving birth.

Frederick and Natasha have, technically, already outlived a number of their children. Oskar, yes, but also the poor three souls there were corrupted into mutants while within the womb and thus not even given the chance to truly live before they died in the birthing chamber. I couldn't possibly say right now whether they'll outlive any of the others, but that's Warhammer for ya.

As for the picture, yeah, Reinhardt is taller than both his parents. This is a cause for much annoyance on both of their parts

ok between this , what could have happened if we didn't true kill Gruber as well as the triplets I have been meaning to think up some actions to prevent stuff like the Everliving home invasion and the triplets from happening at home again but I have been putting off for a while but no more

idea number one : rebuild castle wolfenburg while having every single stone carved with holy symbols and blessed as well as having a masterwork rune of Valya set up as the rune is supposed to stop stuff like the demon triplets from happening also having wizards from the grey , celestial and light order to ward and enchant the castle with every thing from divining bells that ring when ever The castle is breached , wards to keep out and weaken any dark magic or influence as well as making it so that the shadows give no shelter to intruders

idea number 2: we should get a grey wizard, we have the witch hunters to deal with cults and chaos , we have Baggins and Sabine to deal domestic threats like nobles and the like and now we need a grey wizard to deal with esoteric threats like vampire conspiracies and skaven plots(magic using eshin assassins and grey seers)

idea number 3: we should get a light wizard as there magic is specialized in finding and fighting dark magic and it influence

idea number 4 : we should get a celestial wizard as we learned during the last elector meet conspiracies don't work when there target is aware they exist even if the details elude him

Some noble families collect Cathay china, some collect wine others collect antiques.

The Hohenzollerns collect near death experiences go figure.

My bet is that choas/druchii will get so sick of failing to kill Frederick that they will chuck him straight into the warp. Time works differently in the warp and you can leave it before you entered it. The warp also effects mortals deeply so one day when Frederick comes back out of the warp he does so lacking his memory, in fact he even forgot his own name but when he looked at his reflection in a river and a name came to him.... that name was Sigmar!

You are overreacting.

Idea #1: Time waster, no really it is a massive time waster as the players would need to sink stewardship and diplomacy actions into buffing up the defences of castle wolfenburg. Time and actions that would be better spent on improving the province, instead of leaving the already strong castle Wolfenburg alone. Zacharias got in through a dragon, Frederick now has a griffon.

Ideas #2,3, and 4: Grey wizards working as a spy master for a Count would probably be an unfair advantage for the Count, and thus need to be denied by the Grey Order.

Celestial wizards would be ignored, the player base has shown a "prophecy should not be speculated on, if it happens it happens" distaste for prophecy.

Light wizards are busy (also the hardest magic to learn), and because Morr has such a large influence in Ostand, there is no reason for a light wizard to be available for Ostland.

The three babes who fell to Chaos got that way because Arthur wasn't around for that, he went to Sylvania, and corruption through dreams was an unexpected method of attack. Freddy became wiser to the way of Chaos after those three fell, and would later check that any babes of Sabine or Serhild were safe in their dreams through a nearby priest of the cult of Morr.

If we didn't true kill Gruber, does not matter at this time. Gruber was true-killed. The only form of future protection is to always true-kill Greater Daemons like Gruber, or avoid killing Greater Daemons.

Not only would grey order wizards working for the count be viewed as unfair, the grey wizards are apparently not allowed to take jobs like that. They take a vow of poverty and their organisation is like a magical version of the Witch Hunters, just with less oversight because they don't really work directly for the Emperor either for fear of him falling to chaos. I would honestly worry about them doing something unfortunate, like the Witch Hunters were set to do at the start of the story, if it wasn't for the majority of assassinations the Grey Order wizards pull off being of members of their own order who have strayed.

This is not to mention the risks of trusting our intelligence network to some random smuck sent to us from Altdorf.

A grey wizard would be useful, but they aren't going to work for us and we couldn't trust one to either. On the flip side there probably already are grey wizards in Ostland, working hard to ferret out plots of the Ruinous Powers.

Death: YOU ARE HAVING A NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE. THIS MEANS I AM HAVING A NEAR-FREDERICK EXPERIENCE. DON'T MIND ME, I BROUGHT A BOOK.
Guess Morr is bored since he has seen Freddy almost die so many times by this point.

Hell he probably brings popcorn and does a running commentary.
Hmm, after reading these two posts, I'm imagining Arthur channeling Morr's power against Neferata and saying: NO CROWN. ONLY THE HARVEST.

I doubt they would carry out any order that has them going against any other group in the empire maybe on a stretch other (non-empire)order factions , besides I want them to help deal with with outside non domestic intrigue threats like vampire conspiracies and Skaven plots

the elector counts are effectively kings in there own right with no one above them but the emperor who they elect (normally from one of there own) there would be no issue about a grey wizard working for a count though there would be an issue if said count ordered said wizard to do things that go against the empire as a whole as said wizard would likely refuse any such order .

I think they would work in a way similar to the amber order setting up shop in the province on there own , providing a way to contact them if they are needed and only ever interacting with us when they need to

Been wondering this for a bit... but why are the wood elfs all so interested in freddy? I know it has something to do with all the magic hes been smacked with but looking for something more.

Let's see... We made and most importantly fulfilled a promise to slay one of the Laurelorn-Woodelves' worst enemies, Slugtongue. That alone would put us miles ahead on the Interesting-Meter for them. THEN we answered a desperate plea for help, turned the tide of a seemingly lost battle with just a handful of men, killed ANOTHER great enemy of Laurelorn and returned the remains of someone important to them for proper mourning and burial. And on top of that, we have all this weird magic swirling around us.
All things considered, we might be the single most interesting Human these guys ever met.

Bloodglade wasn't a Wood Elf but a Dryad, her stated interest in Freddy very much was about how the sheer amount of magic in his body would make great fertilizer for her seeds.

The Sister of the Thorn being just slightly off suggests that she might also be a disguised Dryad.

Basically, they only want Freddy for his body. And maybe the Light of Summer.

IIRC one of the theories around what the actual fuck are Sisters of the Thorn is that they are being willingly possessed by the fey, which would make them somewhat similar to dryads i guess.

Thots the lot of them. Good thing we brought Natasha.

Jesus Christ, it's like Karak Ungor all over again, where the Changeling played with Frederick's feelings and stole his heart, only to present it to another.

We should bring Natasha everywhere now, seriously. Before the Centigors show up with their daddy issues.

With the kids picking up more of the slack and Natasha firmly in/past menopause, I don't see any reason why she shouldn't be able to travel with Frederick whenever he goes on these excursions.

There is at least one reason to keep Natasha away from the battlefield; To avoid Natasha dying on the field, and triggering the wrath of her sister, Kattarin.

Other than the threat of Kislev seeking some kind of penance from Ostland for Natasha dying under Ostland's banner. The only other reasons Natasha would stay behind is if no other Hohenzollern could stay in Ostland. Depends on how many attacks are launched and when they are launched. Ideally we want Magnus at the great Whhaagggh! front (whenever the great whaaagh in the south hits the empire), might need to send Freddy there as well because it would be the thing he should probably participate in. Freddy would take Urgdug, and the main army of Ostland.

Leaving Arthur, Anna, Serhild, Sabine, and Natasha as the main defense force left in Ostland (Anna might go south as part of the army of Ostland because of the army engineers, when the green whaagh! of the south hits the empire. Her trait that has her with the aversion to wander south might stop her, might not).

The final reason to leave Natasha behind is that her magic is lesser the further south she goes away from Kislev.
