One one hand, I want to vote to put as much as reasonable into the GBZ to test how good the BZ focused approach actually is without the tech that redistributes events. On the other, I am a bit worried about how it will look it if it does unacceptably bad and we need to switch back to a less aggressive plan after.

Lets test how this one works, we can still push ships into the warzone next year.

We were pushing for mutual support for a reason let's take advantage of it

Plus we will be doing a new distribution in 2319, so if this is too much to the border zones we only have to deal with that for a quarter.
@Briefvoice in the border focus plan can you swap the Kumari into the GBZ in exchange for one often excelsior there. The Kumari being blooded is a better combatant and gives a qualitative edge.

My take on them.

[ ][FLEET] 2318 EVEN DISTRIBUTION
This one goes for the current method, spreading Starfleet thinly, but everywhere

The Forward Defense option, hardens the shell, but makes the center extra tasty.

[ ][FLEET] 2318 MAX GBZ REINFORCE AND CUT TO BONE ELSEWHERE
This is the put a fourth task force in GBZ option so the commanders there will be more adventurous.

I know Forward Defense research is still a work in progress, but we have to see how it pans out.

Don't forget that doing this prevents us from getting good rolls on Captains Logs since there will only be 1 or 2 ships in the inner sectors.

While it's true that our ships will have a harder time responding to an event in time, that is mostly compensated by having more ships being able to respond to begin with.

Lets just wait to see how the Konan Starships will fare while going against the Federation starships in battle before we go crazy and throw every available starship that isn't actually needed elsewhere.

If the Forward Defence plan fails, i wonder if we can make a new Defend the Core doctrine...

But I think it will get through, at which point I want an update from Intel about the Romulan/Klingon reaction, bonus points if they sue for peace because of unease at federation numbers.
