For actions, our most important priority is to really work at solving Stigandr's problem...he's our friend and we need to help him as much as possible. Like, we're also definitely doing raid trials, which is important, but not as important as helping Stigandr is. Our third action is making a scythe to make our whole situation a lot more workable.

In terms of training, we need to get Reinforce Shield ASAP, and likewise need to up our farming game. Aside from that this just continues progress on the stuff we've already been working on in a straightforward fashion.

For management, we really want that house, beyond that we can try and get one field partially done with, which would be real nice.

EDIT: Plan changed to account for taking the rest of the Summer raiding. That means we won't need the scythe until next year, so we talk with Sten instead. Switched dice all to making our house better.

EDIT2: Interlude votes:

[X] Steinarr and Sten going to Jurgdby and returning home
[X] Abjorn saving Halla (From the tree)
[X] Gabriel after the spar

Okay management dice wise we need to build that house which is 0/6 and we should clear a least 1 field its the end of summer 1 so we are voting for the middle of summer, we can still get a harvest in if we seed it as well clearing and seeding are 0/3 each. assuming 1 dice per success we can build the house, and clear and seed 1 field and have a dice left over.

for training we should throw a few dice to "Labor, Farming, and Management" management is 2 successes from rank up and i dont think we have the other 2, i think more management dice will help for future smithing.

actions wise id want to make farming tools if not for us, then for Abjorn. Also we should explore with niece, where do you guys wanna explore

Basically, I'm reminded that Halla is already extremely good in a fight for her age, and that our lack of Labor and Farming as well as our relatively poor Management are going to be crippling if we don't take steps to fix that, now.

So I'm fishing for more training dice or bonuses primarily, with our third action in trip to Asvir so we can get the Raid Trials sorted. We can follow up for Stig's plotline while we're there.
I'd consider this 4 to Clearing, 3 to Seeding, 3 to Tending, by the way

All good, I'm flailing a bit here because I didn't know just how important those stats are. Admittedly, it explains the Priorities for a standard Norseman, but it's definitely something we need a lot of remedial training on. Hopefully we can make good progress with all those dice and our training fishing.

iirc stigandr came around to liking our tomboyish younger self pretty quickly, he might get along with drifa! i want to find out

Agreed, my plan probably builds the house and almost certainly gets at least one field cleared and a ways into seeding it as well. With a proper tool, next turn we should be able to finish up easily enough.

Yep. All part of the plan.

We need to actually get our best friends some help with his crippling depression here. Though I do agree a tool for Abjorn is also a good call.

Once he's no longer suffering magical depression I'm on board. We need to take care of that first. We've neglected him more than long enough.

Don't forget, we're not 'Neglecting" someone if we don't take their actions, we're just not pushing the Plotline Forward.

Except Stig's been plot-gated by talking to the Seeress, which we're doing this turn no matter what, unless she's mysteriously disappeared or something.

My focus right now is polishing off our remaining Hugareida Tricks and then doing some crunch remedial stuff for our Management stats. Next turn, hopefully we can add in some toolcrafting. We don't need to focus on fighting right now because Imperial Fister has already hinted that dropping Halla into a normal raid is going to straight up be a mook horror show, what we need to do is not be an embarrassment off the bloody fields.

just caught up, bravo no qualms here
I think exploring is a more summer 3 and winter 1 mood anyways but we should defintely explore next turn and by explore i mean visit our nieghboor's farm

Right, which is why the plan suggests taking him to see her so we can both get the gate out of the way and actually make progress.

Toolcrafting is actually several times as mechanically significant as upping our Management or other skills would be in terms of getting the fields done this year. It's a flat +2 or +3 successes per action...it allows 2d actions to succeed routinely. It's really good, is what I'm saying.

We should absolutely fish for training dice next time we can, but they won't kick in this turn (because training occurs first) or next turn anyway (because we're going raiding, which removes basically all bonus training dice for the turn we do it), which makes doing it now pretty suboptimal, IMO.

Please keep in mind, Stig is still getting therapy in either plan.

But he's plot gated, and we have no idea what the Seeress is going to suggest. He is not going to explode this turn.

But you know what will explode? Our hopes and dreams of having a sweet-arse homestead! There's tons of dice lying on the table ready to be picked up by Halla as it stands, and we can get more precious Training Dice by asking around too!

The objective in the field isn't "don't be an embarrassment". It's "don't starve". We're 16-year-old ad a 17-year-old, and we're both blatantly combat-specs (we're going raiding). We don't need our farm for orthstirr gains. For that matter, assuming the raiding is good, we won't really need the farm for food that first year either. We can sell off some raiding-loot and buy food.

It's important, and it's worth putting in effort to fix, but it's not as immediately critical as you're making it out to be.

Needing to buy food is an embarassment because it meant you couldn't provide for yourselves.

Raiding is something you do on the side when your livelihood is secure, not a replacement for it.

We can't get Training Dice (EDIT: from other people) for next turn no matter what. We're going raiding, which removes all training dice (EDIT: provided by others). And making a tool lets us casually finish this year's farm work next turn. Well, it does so well enough to get by, anyway.

Woo 13 dice for management thanks to Abjorn.

Also sorta just had a thought that people haven't really brought up. Do we have to have a raw Hamr check for kids every turn now that we are married to Abjorn? Since they are probably horny teenagers? If not that's great but it is likely to be a concern.

raiding-loot and buy food.
Also just get food as loot, that is a distinct possibility

Not true, you get training dice while raiding, just not as much.
Nothing apparently, why do I even bother.
Well, I always appreciate plans, even if they're "sub-par" (which is not necessary to 'win' this Quest, you have my word there)

wait we cant visit the neighbors and introduce ourselves and stuff if we go raiding, i hope the neighbors are our family and in-laws then.

Last time you mentioned it you said it was none...
I said that you get the training dice from your base (1), your hamingja (7), and Charred Soul-sourced bonuses (so anything Blackhand Related)

Obviously you don't get training dice from people not on the raid with you, but you also don't get dice from the people who are on the raid as they are all super busy doing their own things.

I can't get over the fact that it was the fertility charms Asveig gave us that stopped the babymaking.
