*imagines him trying to do a covert mission* :V
Just slap the equivalent of a Hutt Hawaiian shirt on him give him a giant slushy type drink and have him comment loudly on everything and he will be all but invisible.

No I am being serious when was the last time you actually look at a tourist who did not get in your face and do you actually remember them?

Plus who expects the Hutt to be able to bench press a light tank? Also it is amazing how well playing to stereotypes works in these sort of things, just have the rest of the team disguise themselves as the usual Hutt hangers on and no one will bat an eye at them.

Believe it or not... In a online Star Wars rp (via D20 Saga Edition) I was part off I actually saw a Hutt doing just that. Okay, he was also Mascot of an entertainment and food corporation and casually commented to various people that they should help him kill the owners so he can get out of his contracts. That still was drowned out by being a brightly colored Hutt in garish clothes with a drink.

Abysswalker Dossier: Gorahh the Hutt

...This is absolutely insane beyond my wildest dreams...and I love it.

Lets do this thing.

...Just try to ignore Ciaran screaming "HOW IS THERE ANOTHER BUFF FORCE-USING HUTT!? HOOWWWW!?"

Canon, +10!

That leaves 2 more potential Abysswalkers as omake bounties!

Goraah: "Ahh I see you know another who follows the path of the swole, it is a rarity among my kind." *Flexes*

To be fair to the guy, people can't witness the crime if their dead. Also how many people are gonna believe there's such a thing as a swole Hutt?
or you can pair him with the silencer

Given his previous experience in a 'covert' mission. I'd say the hutt would make for a fine ultra heavy stealth unit. Hell, mount a big enough blaster cannon on him and you have a stealth tank.

For the remaining two abysswalkers... May I suggest twin sisters from one of Ciaran's mother/father's siblings? (Whichever one isn't her infamous grandfather's child)

Particularly notable because they introduced themselves to Ciaran's by sneaking into one of her public homes whilst she was around, disabling all the official, legal and even some of the really hidden illegal sensors and detectors.

Ciaran decided to see who these two twins were that had snuck into her rooms and were obviously sitting there waiting for her to show up for some reason. Needless to say she was rather shocked when they introduced themselves as cousins and asked for a job. Preferably on the hidden side of things. They'd had some connections that mentioned interesting things about Ciaran in the underworld, and wanted to get the hell off their homeworld, so why not try and get a job from someone who is almost certainly their cousin, according to what they found out, who's also involved somehow in the shady side of the galaxy where they enjoy working... (Look, Ciaran's family didn't remove all the pictures of Ciaran and her grandfather, and they compared some of the younger images of Ciaran with her mother, themselves and the rest of the family when they were that age. It's also kinda known that Ciaran's grandfather hangs around her in the underworld...)

Also, One of the other hero characters/advisors were with her when they had that meeting, and they are never deleting the photo they got of her face when it happened. After all, how often do you get to see Ciaran feel like she got caught in a prank, like she does to everyone else?

I was thinking a sniper/assassin that decided he wanted a job with you know ACTUAL benefits

At this rate I think that we need a list of abyss walkers and their omakes/traits/quirks as I think I may lose track of them all.

Abysswalker Dossier: Goraah the Hutt
[Clearance Level: Maroon]
Name: Goraah the Hutt

Background Check: A distant relative of Borvo, the son of the sister-in-law of a nephew of his second cousin, who according to what could be uncovered was primarily raised by some enforcers under his mother's employ while she focused her attention on her business, a small spice mining operation. Apparently when he was a child the enforcers he was under the care of took him along when they did their primary job of beating down the miners when they got rowdy about the working conditions. We're still trying to figure out if it was the result of the Enforcer's 'parenting' skills, a blow to the head during his early development, exposure to raw spice as a baby or a combination of all of these factors but the end result was that by the time he reaching adolescence Goraah had developed a love of participating in close quarters combat with several records showing that he frequently participated in some local fighting pits, most notably holding the position of reigning champion of one of the larger ones.

According to Borvo there was an incident at a local bar that spiraled into an all out brawl which left over a dozen dead, including a Wookie who's head had been smashing through a wall, and Goraah with over a dozen different melee weapons lodged in his body. Apparently that had been enough for Goraah's mother to call in a minor favor Borvo owed her so that he could "Break that boy out of this warrior phase" and make him a proper Hutt. From there Borvo apparently put him in charge of managing the logistics of one of our minor bases, the ones we use to train new recruits, and gave him some advise on how to do his job while skimming a little off the top for a nice tidy profit, all within acceptable ranges and already accounted for in the base's operating budget. But within the week Goraah had hoisted the majority of his job onto a subordinate, which Borvo expected, and instead ended up essentially control of the base's close quarters/unarmed combat training regime. After that, and an incident where he threw a parked speeder at a particularly cocky recruit, Goraah was reassigned and quickly climbed the ranks until he appeared on our radar as a potential Abysswalker.

Personality: Goraah is noted to be unusually direct, favoring brute force where applicable and possessing a level of battle lust to rival most Kaleesh. Has been noted to hold a high respect for Grievous ever since hearing about his exploits from others within the Abysswatcher and has expressed a desire to spar against him whenever possible. Also on a side note Goraah has a hobby of hand crafting scale replicas of historic battles and has devoted the majority of his living space to such displays, Thrawn says they are rather well done and remarkably accurate with only a few minor errors that have since been corrected.

Combat Evaluation: Goraah has shown a talent for melee combat utilizing a combat style similar to Djem So although with a notable alteration in that he will occasionally allow an opponent to strike him in a non-vital location, trusting his natural durability, in order create an opening for a brutal counter attack be it with his own weapon or, as has become an increasingly frequent case ever since he learned Matukai techniques, a force empowered punch. However in terms of ranged combat or force abilities, with the exception of those that augment his already impressive physical abilities, he has been shown to be below average.

In terms of equipment Goraah utilizes what is essentially a two-handed mace based version of an Electro-Staff sized for a Hutt that has been heavily reinforced to withstand the punishment his strength inflicts upon it.

During combat simulations Goraah has been best utilized as either a line-breaker against enemy formations or as a highly durable and dangerous distraction for other members of his team. One of his favorite tactics is simply bursting through a wall and smash his opponents with a wide swing of his mace. Also it has been noted that when confronted with an enemy position he can't easily close in upon he tends to grab the heaviest thing he can reach (be it a speeder, large rock or simply ripping a pillar out of the ground) and throw it at the enemy position, effectiveness varies but it does tend to surprise the opposition.

Final Evaluation: Promotion of Abysswalker approved, recommend utilizing him primarily in combat missions ideally under Grievous. Can serve well as a melee specialist during operations and possesses the traits needed to act as a front line combatant where needed.

Advise Acquiring specialized equipment such as Hutt Battle Armor to further augment his capabilities.

This goes from "is strong and likes punching people" straight to "he should be an abyss walker". It mentioned nothing about him having force abilities prior to that, did not mention him training said force abilities, and hasn't mentioned him really doing anything except training other people, so he's had no effective field experience prior to his promotion.

I think you got too caught up with the idea of a buff hutt and forgot about everything else that makes an abyss walker an abyss walker.

Oh good, I was worried I was mistaken after Dr Snarks enthusiastic acceptance. Good to know that the qualification for AbyssWalker is "Talented Force User" not just badass.
Actually on re reading it mentions once in that whole thing, Matukai force enhanced punches. Pretty understated.

Also question: The wikipedia page for Hutts mentions that they're born Bipedal with 'Rump legs' that fuse due to a lack of use. Has that been retconed? Because this Hutt seems like he'd use them a lot and its notable enough that I'd expect to see it mentioned.

In the main biography though, it still doesn't say anywhere that he uses the Force or that he's trained in the Force or that he's had anything whatsoever to do with the Force. It goes straight from nothing to Matukai and the like without any explanation or lead-up.

I'm not disagreeing, I've got a couple of bones with this character such as the referenced bump or second hand spice addiction early on that goes completely ignored for the rest of the update. If you imply the characters got brain damage don't ignore it later.

lets be honest, he's a hut that likes punching people, he does have brain damage.

Considering that fact that Ciran has encountered precisely two hutts who did not share the seemingly species-wide indolence and gluttony and both were force sensitive (which is something on the order of one to hundreds of millions of sentients) the inference could be made that something about being force sensitive makes hutts reject their species' common way of life.

Just imagine the reaction from the negaverse side of things.

Some random BUFF HUTT suddenly appears and chills with Grevious of all people.
A Hutt that threads the Path of The Swole, fights alongside a Warrior Legend.

Honestly, any Negaverse would probably break out in hives over the share amount of crazy bullshit that the Abyss Watchers get up to. it's like we tried to specifically recruit the craziest and quirkiest people in the galaxy.

Well if I was to include him in the AU Clone Wars cartoon i'd have it be an expectation subversion of some kind. Like make it appear at first that he is a stereotypical Hutt, maybe imply that he is more of a planner and instead he has a powerful minion or something who does the fighting. Then when the time comes he rips something heavy out of the ground and uses it as a projectile against some destroyer droids.

"I have found only two things in my life that never diminish with repetition. The first is my art, no two battles are ever alike and replicating them in sculpture never fails to excite and invoke pride. The second is the shock and fear elicited by a Hutt displaying martial prowess.

Observing that is the greatest thing in this galaxy."
