A Captain, Commander, and ARC Walk into a Bar (Canon)
I finally am caught up on this, so I shall contribute to the Omakes of Glory!

A Captain, Commander, and ARC
Walk into a Bar

Normally, when the 501st and 212th both have a short period of rest together, it turns into a contest of which is better. Not this time, however.

This time, Captain Rex, Commander Cody, and ARC trooper Fives were somberly sitting at the counter of 79's, the premier (and only) bar for the GAR clones.

"I can't believe what's going on," Cody mumbled after he sipped a bit of his drink.

"Yeah? Which part? The fact that half the Republic is basically out of the war, or the fact that we all have some-" Fives was cut off as Rex stood and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Easy, trooper, some things are best left unsaid, at least until Skywalker or Tano talk to us about it. Am I clear?" Rex questioned as he sat back down.

"Yessir," was all that Fives said as he went back to drinking.

Cody cocked his head at Rex, "What was he going on about?"

"Nothing, just the boys are all getting tired of the fighting. I heard from Ratch that a squad or two from the 105th deserted yesterday. Two of their number were found dead late last night. Blaster fire got 'em, but there weren't any droids on the planet." Rex paused as he began to think.

"Kriffing hell," Cody murmured, "Are you telling me they've got Republic soldiers gunning down deserters?"

"Yeah, and after the cluster fek on Umbara, I don't like the thought of our Vode being targeted by other Vode. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth." (I'm assuming Umbara has happened, if not... Oops...)

"Yeah, it's tough that we lost Waxer on that damned planet. Kriffing Krell, I'm disappointed that I wasn't the one to end him."

Rex stared into his glass, "Yeah, I just can't wait for this sithspit show to end."

"I can toast to that Vod," Cody raised his glass, "I can toast to that."

...

Short one, but I don't think anything else needs to be added to it. Kind of depressing, but eh, this war has been happening for hire many years now? I lost track.

HEHEHEHAHAHAHEHEHUEHEHUEHUEHUEHAHAHAHSHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHHOHOHOHOHOHOHOOHOHOHOHOHOOHOHOHOHHHUHUHUHUHUUHHUUUHHUHUHU!

Oh good lord I can't wait for the rest!

The bad news was that the Force-sensitive members of the team ended up sensing significant amounts of Dark Side energy from a number of the more intact tombs, and they did not fancy their chances against whatever was still within them without the help of you, Asajj, or the Walkers. (Vectivus agreed that this was unquestionably the right decision all things considered.)
Wouldn't it be better to send Force non-sensitives? They can't be corrupted by the Dark Side.

Except then they are vulnerable to force powers like force choke or domination. However it does occur to me that we can use Yavin 4 as a test run of the Yslamari to protect our non-force agents.

Also shame we only reduced investment penalty by 10%. Still lots of neat stuff this turn.

There have been cases of non-sensitives also being corrupted by the Dark Side. Just to a much lesser degree than the Jedi. Plus these places are Sith facilities and they have been known to make non-sensitives go crazy or they have artifiacts that can only be handled with Force-users. .

I would only go into those places with droids and anyone with Ysalamiri support since they can't be affect by the Dark Side. In fact, we need a Ysalamiri breeding program given how useful they will be for...everything force-related. Secrecy, protection, research, reconnaissance, there is a damn good reason why I wanted us to get Ysalamiri as soon as possible.

I don't know squat abut the Lore and shit really, but can't Force Users posess those without the Force anyway? In Rebels, IIRC, Sabine or whatever the fuck that female Madalorian's name was, got possessed by the Nightsisters' dead. But then again, she might have been force sensitive, I was just flipping through the channels at the time. Not to mention, as Vader showed, they can still be affected by Force Chokes and Shoves and shit like that, so if a long dead shade/ghost manifests, well the normies are shit out of luck.

But luckily for us, we're gonna get or have now got Ysalamiri now!

TRAIT UPDATE!
Insurgent: Get into position quietly, wait for the opportune moment, then unleash absolute hell. That is how the Silencer operates and he proved just how deadly that methodology could be after The Metalorn Heist. +6 Intrigue, +2 Martial
Miraluka Genemod: Asajj has been modded with Miralukan DNA...or more accurately Ciaran's DNA. In spite of the benefits she has sworn to never speak of it if at all possible. +2 Lore

Lesser Miraluka Force Sight: While not as precise, Asajj now has the Force Vision of the Miraluka, granting her increased perceptiveness in different fields. Asajj gains +5 to any roll she is attached to.

Silencer has 37 Martial, 25 Intrigue. Asajj has 45 Lore and +5 to rolls she's attached to

Here are the new traits

Edit: And....what's the equivalent of being ninja'd in this quest? Ciaran'd?

Also vulnerable to outright possession, not just domination.

Which is arguably worse.

So we send in droids. Our BXs are perfect for this kind of mission. They're droids so they're immune to corruption and possession, they're somewhat expendable, and in terms of combat capability they're good enough to beat a Jedi Master when working as a team.

And hey, remember how Exar Kun's phantom is a thing?

It would have been baaaad if some random schmucks would have wandered into his temple.

Oh yeah, considering he was the only bit of Yavin 4 I knew about, fortunately we may have a counter measure.

To follow up Silencer trait that was upgraded was a +2 intrigue before so he gained +4 intrigue and +2 martial. And that lesser force sight for Assajj is just wow, flat +5 to any roll she is on is just awesome... We may even be able to train her to strengthen that.
