tbh I thought we were siphoning that dream off into your quest, because this one isn't super-fitting for it. The idea that all these non-Jedi Force Sects will actually come together to form a Council of any kind is... kinda silly. You have a full gamut of philosophies here that are not going to all be compatible with one another. Not to mention that so many of them are full isolationist. A library of sorts? Yeah, that we can pull off. But the line doesn't go much farther and I don't think we should waste our efforts on pushing for more when we have so many better things to do.
its less them coming together and more them sending a Representative to a party. if that makes any sense.

I think its a fun idea. Plus, his game is stuck in chargen hell anyway. I'm far from convinced that it'll ever get off the ground.

Whatever the MC of Publicola's quest will be, they won't be Ciaran.

I rather like the story arc of this dodgy gangster from Coruscant who has Nabood her way to wealth, power and love delving into the mysteries of the Force.

That said, I do agree that the non-Jedi force sects will ever unite with each-other or with Ciaran. That doesn't mean that meeting with them and forming ties with them is out of the question or not useful though.

Alright, seeing as how there's been no votes in the past 6 hours and in the interest of moving on ASAP I'm calling the reroll for the Baobabs. And...

...It was a 17.

Well that was underwhelming...

It can't be that horrible, right? Or are you now even more stressed because of this roll?

Don't be ridiculous, I don't actually get stressed by the rolls, but it is more fun to joke about how insane they can be.

Or more accurately when those crits hit I either sigh or laugh wildly in frustration for a minute then my brain starts going "okay, how is this insanity actually going to play out?"

In all sincerity it's no worse than any other quest with absurd rolls.

Imagining Yoda beating Ciaran, Dooku and Obi Wan at card games....

Gets asked "How?!"

Yoda: "Believe I got council seat from raffle, do you? Decide back then, they couldn't. Had to choose via who won the most games, they did. Spent many an hour around tables like these, I did."

I think with the capture of the head of the tech-union (Rust And Metalorn Rolled 96 + 25 + 20 =151)
And our doku roll (Miss Ciaran, I Expect You To Dine Rolled 77 + 5 + 20 + 40 + 17 + 8 = 167)
We may be to stop the clone wars before palpa can make his move to become emperor

All right, time for dice statistics!
  • Our highest roll was 96 (for dealing with the Techno Union) with 2 of the 22 rolls > 90%
  • Our lowest roll was 2 (for Baobab) and was rerolled to 17
  • Our median this turn was 47 (...which was also our mode)
  • Our dice average this turn was 51.7 (sum of all rolls is 1138, divide by 22)
This was a thoroughly average turn as far as rolls were concerned. The primary point of interest was the fact that we somehow rolled '47' for four separate actions -- 'Watching the Watchmen', 'One Fried Paranoiac', 'Carrot and Stick', and 'Personal Shield Tech'.

In case you want to compare this turn to previous ones in the quest, here's a chart:

And here's the data:

I'm not sure I'd cast Grey DeLisle as Ciaran. I don't recall her displaying quite the right trolling lilt that Ciaran needs. She usually plays more the seductress type than the gadfly.

I'd almost prefer her as Ventress over Nika Futterman (they've both performed the role).

I don't know I see Ciaran as the serious troll (the kind where unless you know them you can't tell if they're trolling or not). Plus most of trolling we've seen has been seductress-like in nature.

As for Ventress, Nika grew on me as we got towards the end. It just sounds more sly.

How about Jennifer Hale as Ciaran? :V

You know I almost considered that, but it's hard for my mind not to associate her with 'confident soldier'. I also tried not to use other TCW's actors and Hale already has two major roles.

I think Michell Pfeifer could probably pull off the role. Her portrayal of Eris in the animated Sinbad movie is pretty much exactly what I imagine Ciaran to sound like.

For the hypothetical series we're voice casting for, remember that Ciaran is going to be the rich, socialite friend of Padme whose early appearances are just going to be teasing Padme and Obiwan, who then starts being a little suspicious before the big reveal that she's a sith. Her voice actor needs to be able to be to be a little teasing->socialite in over her head->just kidding, I'm a sith->I'm not just a sith, I'm still a troll->Also, I'm a serious crime boss.

If I was going to make a positive recommendation, I'd go with Tara Platt, or maybe Trina Nishimura.
