I'm writing up by revised omake of a previous one of mine titled Fractured Future. Though it's still in bare bones, I think I can scare you all with five words:

Supreme Chancellor Jar Jar Binks

Look, we're not working to unseat one Sith Lord from power just to replace him with another.

Also, piloting, first aid
Piloting I thought was just an incidental thing brought upon by the instinct based precog most force users get (and given that we can implement the Luka Sena force vision for our agents we can give them a better version as well), and First aid was just that unless they have a specific power for it.

. Keep in mind that most other force orders have one or two combat styles. The Jedi have SEVEN before you get into multi blade sillyness.
Really? I didn't know we knew enough about them to make such a definite statement, I can't the Makutai limiting themselves to one martial art throughout their life time or that their various masters have not developed many of their own over the millennia.

Regardless I imagine if they are a martial order the style is to play to their strengths and the power they have. On the other hand the Jedi get "7" (5 really as the 1st and 7th styles are not really used on a wide basis... I can think of 1 and 1 people off the top of my head) specialised for certain situations, a good idea in theory (especially for a large order, if you can master all of them, but cripplingly rigid, locking the user into a specific fighting style if not and as far as I can see Jedi seem to master one style with understanding of the others and leave it at that.

Obi wan for instance is the master of Soresu a style that relies on outlasting ones opponent and waiting for them to make a mistake, but against one of our agents he's at a crippling disadvantage as our agents have Makutai, so are a lot less likely to tire before he does.

While he is undoubtedly more skilled than our agents and thus any mistake they make in their form is more likely to be punished one of the centre's of his style has been rendered impotent because if he changes to a style he is less familiar with his skill suffers.

multi blade sillyness.
If other orders don't have their own "multi blade sillyness" I'll eat my hat.

Keep in mind that there are 40 Maluki, mostly nomadic and scattered. Everything but the core skills die off quite frequently. The Jedi have a broad base, numerous secondary or tertiary force skills, and a large amount of resources. That's their thing.

That was what I was getting at, the Jedi have a broad breadth of knowledge, but their depth seems to be extremely basic. They also have the advantage of many recruits, so they tend to get the prodigies (though not ones like sidious)

The smaller force sects lack the breadth, but have significantly more depth.

On another note, there are 50-60 average at anyone time, their order has been around since 4000 BBY so that's a lot of them over a long period of time.

They are also noted for being extremely adaptable and due to their nomadic nature each probably makes their own style (I surmise anyway)

I can also find no indication that all, but their core techniques are lost on a regular basis as they seem to be incredibly resilient, it only being concentrated persecution by the empire that led to them going into hiding.

man we need to recruit more people for our agent's we only have like 20 of them or something.

18 Abyss Apprentices (Tier 1) + 2-5 per turn, 25% chance to tier up per turn
11 Abyss Agents (Tier 2), 5% chance to tier up per turn
2 Abyss Walkers (Tier 3)
- Current Skills Known: Blazing Chains, Buried Presence, Matukai Self-Reinforcement

We need to increase their numbers quick there is the Black Guard.

I'm all for trying them next turn.

If the machine to detect ... midiclorians shivers... is still a thing or some other method of force detection, we could get the Silver Cross and Kranda Korps to scan for kids with force potential to send our way too.

I had a thought. (Hopefully it will drive out whumbly's heresy.)

We lead/have the greatest concentration of force users outside the jedi order and this has been so for several years by this point. How many of them have had children? and of those how many have had children with other force users? Because I can see Ciaran setting up daycare for here operative's children and having multiple children of two (or more) force users spending time together might lead to some interesting situations.

Omake idea: Somehow Ahsoka gets roped into looking after them for a few hours. Shenanigans ensue.

So, @Dr. Snark do we now have a Moonlight Greatsword as our lightsaber? Are we capable of swinging blades of light that fly through the air at people?

(Omake) Not That Impressive (Canon)
Just a short something I felt inspired to do as a writing exercise after the Matukai crit. Felt like trying to get into Ciaran's perspective and explore why she suddenly got good at punching stuff. I hope anyone out there enjoys.

Omake: Not that impressive

"It can't be that impressive-"

The Miralukan displayed her infamous provocative smile on the outside, while slowly taking in a deep breath and stepping towards the target some workers had loaded of in preparation. Her mind drifted back towards the insight her recent meditation had granted her, while Asaji was still formulating her quip about the obvious theatrics.

The reason she still struggled with the blazing chains style was how much it required her to anticipate the future. Even though her understanding of the force grew every day, sensing the blaster bolt before firing it was still not easy for her. The reason for that was simple: once she opened her mind to the future, her curiosity kept leading her down tangents, away from what was in front of her. Of course, there were easy solutions to this within the teachings of the Jedi and the Luca Sene, but none of those were practical to her. In the end, she would have to tame her curiosity, the part of her that had driven her to collect the vague pieces of information that circulated through different levels of the undercity. No matter how far Ciaran had come since her humble beginnings on Coruscant, she was still an information broker at heart, and as such, she was nothing without her curiosity. If she had to turn away from the instinct that had allowed her to come this far to become stronger, than she would gladly be weak.

However, by finding out about and training her innate abilities at finding shatterpoints, Ciaran had found a different way towards strength, one more fitting to herself, and her own way of doing things. And Matukai had turned out to be the next station along this path.

As she held a breath in her lungs, her force vision sharpened on her own body, revealing numerous small anomalies, strengths and weaknesses, similar to how she would probe something in search for a weakness to shatter it. Instead of striking at the weaknesses she found however, she directed the unseen power of the force towards the strongest points she found, or those that had the potential to become strong points within her body, and reinforced them.

Pulling back her arm by just a bit to not seem like she was putting any effort into what she was doing Ciaran quickly glanced at her target, spotting a weak point. She didn't need to see the future to know what would happen next. Now that she had directed and optimised the present, there was only one way this could end. And with this thought, she struck the target bare handed without any hesitation or fear of hurting her fist.

*WHAM*

"...Did you just punch through reinforced combat armor like it wasn't even there?"

Wow. Just binged the whole quest and I gotta say, @Dr. Snark , you are GOOD. Can't wait to see the new interludes!
Also, what happened to Oki?

Kindergarten Jedi: The Farce Awakens
... Oh, you mean Kindergarten? As in that game that has an insane 'Choose Your Own Death', and has even murderous Teachers of all things, and things exploding out of nowhere?

But more seriously, I'm now dreading on depending on how things go, we might end up with a Kylo Ren, in the far future, epilogue wise. Who does NOT want to be a 'Darth Emo Wannabe'... But someone, juuust like his dad, in going Grey instead, join that still there Abyss Walkers, and go Noir instead...

Assuming, he doesn't instead want to be just. Like. Ciaran, and end up getting involved in a string of businesses and Intrigue actions, that'd cause a similar spanner in the works to Ciaran or the Abyss Walkers, before being viewed as a possible inheritor, or cataclysm, who'd have to then improvise his way out of a shadow organisation's dagger.

And then things go inverse King's Field, when he'd likely then be stuck dealing with some of the headache's the Abyss Watcher's keep under lock and key, like some new prelude Star Wars protagonist, with the end goal ideally being more tempted towards the 'Balance' side of Profits. And hell knows what sort of divergences could be had if depending on how many butterflies are in hand, the Jedi Order may still exist, Luke Skywalker might end up being catapulted to become an even greater Jedi than his Grey Jedi father. (Who is 'unofficially' keeping tabs on a Neutral Force Sect.)

... And assuming long term Sith resurgents don't start end up getting influenced/tainted by Ciaren's 'neutrality' focus, remnant smoker Sith revivals or a Sauron tier Palpatine doesn't end up trying to gear up for a then round two against being completely slashed by Ciaran and her corrupted Chosen One. :p

You're correct, Cherriss, we need more of them, a lot more of them. Because Thrawn-doglizard is my OTP.

Sadly, as adorable as those creatures are, there is a very good reason on how they evolved to hide themselves from the Force.

Here are some of the nasty predators they had to deal with on their home world.

There is a good reason why most people avoid that planet. :o

If we didn't pass that roll, our agents would have been destroyed by those nasty predators.

Vornskrs hunt using the Force to aid them. Therefore, being able to cancel that out, or hide from it, would help the prey with survival.

I'm mostly scared of that cat to be honest. Even if it loses a lightsaber, it's still got its claws to stab with. And we can never forget this:

Truly a terrifying foe. *Nods head sagely*

Right, going to acknowledge omakes real quick.

The Chosen One Rethinking his Career Options

Oooh...I'm planning on going into this a bit with the next interlude as people might expect but you're definitely hitting the nail on the head in that Anakin isn't really enthused with staying with the Order at this point given everything. Still...I'm going to say this is non-canon, for reasons I'll get into during said interlude. But still have the +10.

Omake: Not that impressive

For some reason this feels Nasuverse as all hell and I love it for it. Canon, +10.

Also, what happened to Oki?

Probably regretting her choices in life that led to her being 'adopted' by the Cata Family and now being Ciarans 'Cousin'. It means a lot of money and 'interesting' relatives for her, but still... Ciaran.

Basically this. She's mostly fine but kinda trying to lie low and stay out of the madness.

It's totally futile though.
