Here are our new traits!

For Ciaran:
Matukai Self-Reinforcement Mastery: Out of all of the various Force abilities out there, it's kind of hilarious that one of them that you're most skilled in involves being able to punch things really hard. It is enough to go through armor and gives you incredible endurance besides so it's hardly an issue. +5 Martial, +1 Lore
This pushes our 'Martial' stat up to 36, and our 'Lore' up to 44.

For Asajj:
Matukai Self-Reinforcement: She'll never admit it, but Ciaran's sudden aptitude for the Matukai techniques encouraged her to learn about them herself. While she's not as skilled in them as Ciaran is, the results of said training certainly speak for themselves. +3 Martial, +1 Lore
Bumping her 'Martial' up to 37, and her 'Lore' up to 39.

For Silas:
Political Networking: Between Chora's negotiations above-board and Silas' below them, the two of them have established quite the list of politicians that the two of them can lean on if need be. +4 Diplomacy
Which bumps his 'Diplomacy' up to 28.

For Thrawn:
Political Networking: Perhaps unsurprisingly. Thrawn has proven to be quite adept in the field of politics and has managed to make several political contacts that will serve him well for diplomatic purposes. +4 Diplomacy
Increasing his 'Diplomacy' to 34.

And for PR-1:
Advanced Financial Routines: An ambitious upgrade package installed into PR-1 by Cheriss, these routines give PR-1 a real-time connection to the finances of the Abyss Watchers as well as the processing speed to keep up with it. This allows him to react quickly to any fluctuations in the organization's finances. +6 Stewardship
Increasing his 'Stewardship' up to 24.

Don't know why but I somehow want an Omake where Thrawn and Chora go from "distant acquaintances" to at least "work-pals" considering how they had to work together to achieve such results.

As for finances...

First, the salvage rolls:
Coruscant: 12
Nar Shaddaa: 86 (+100 credits)
Taris: 1
Space: 65 (+50 credits)
Ord Mantell: 62 (+50 credits)
Dantooine 1: 69 (Artifact Value: Low, more historical than practical)
Dantooine 2: 1 (Again? Really?)
So, +200 credits, lump sum.

Then the Wookie Maps:
Rewards: Claatuvac routes discovered, Silver Cross income increased by 50% due to increased transportation, gained ability to move large amounts of materiel stealthily for future missions
Per the front-page Balance Sheet, this gives us an extra +75 income:
150 (Silver Cross)
100 (Refugee camps; Turn 18)
50 (Uurbahhahvoovv Joiners & Artisans investments, Kashyyyk; Turn 25)

Then the Fry Industries action:
Rewards: Fry Industries relocated to Taris, +75 Investment income from contracts, general increase of security for CNS planets
+75 income, less the 40% investment penalty, equals 45 credits. Except...
Rewards: Contact with Baobab Merchant Fleet gained, Investment penalty reduced by 10%, potential to expand partnership further
The Palpatine penalty now stands at 30%.

Okay, some quick math. This is our 'current' Balance Sheet:
With the 40% penalty accounted for. That means the initial Investment income would have been:

(1 - 0.4) * A0 = 1515
A0 = 1515 / 0.6 = 2525

In addition, in base upgrades this turn we paid for an additional +675 investment income, plus the +75 Fry Industries income, so the new baseline amount would be 2525 + 375 + 75 = 3275. 10% rebate on that sum, equals 327 credits of additional income.

Finally, there's also the +5% Muun Banker bonus on this new income:

327 + 45 + 75 = 447 additional income
0.05 * 447 = 22 'Banker bonus' income

Which means our balance for next turn can be revised upward:
Next Turn's Balance: 27
+200 credits in salvage/loot, +467 credits in additional income

Next Turn's Balance: 694 Credits

*Subject to change if we get any loot or income from one of the Interludes.

Balance still in positive even without salvage operation so no Darth Vectivus teaching conner to not bankruptcy again. :lol

The other complicating factor was far more...interesting. While your teams were preparing for the rescue mission they discovered another person of interest held within the facility; a woman by the name of Arla Fett. Checking some records confirmed the surprising fact that Jango's sister was being held at the center, having been deemed too unstable after being arrested several years ago. Deciding to take the initiative the team also broke out Arla, though they noted that the reports were accurate in that she was currently quite unstable between her trauma and the medication the center had put her on. That being said, she doesn't know you have her brother on hand and he hasn't been told that she's alive yet...

Results: Ovolot rescued, assisting in Clan Skirata research and producing FG36 antigen. Arla Fett broken out. Further results to be detailed in "Phantoms of Naboo" interlude.
Well lookie here, we got Arla out!

Next Turn's Balance: 694 Credits

Do not forget, the hypothetical "Counter Palpatine" Actions that might lead to further financial woes, if unlucky. Or other mental headaches that's 'Palpatine build up' on other Doomsday projects.

Or heck, turn that one salvage planet with a few 1's into his own 'disaster' attack, at worst...
Well lookie here, we got Arla out!
On one end, possibility of gaining an additional ex-assassin unit, especially if in company with Jango leads to great family reunion/therapy.

On the other end... Likely medical and mental issues, could likely turn her into a case that needs... A touch of therapy, but may end up becoming if handled well/right, an additional hero unit, 'say'. And maybe lead to further loyalty from Jango. And given Palpatine derailment service, we'd need all the help we can get to stand a chance against him.

Eh, I don't see Arla Fett as another Hero unit. A stat bonus for Jango? Sure, maybe.

Guys, Palpatine has access to a bioweapon that can easily wipe out al life on a planet. And we've been warned about putting all our eggs in one basket with Taris.

Tread carefully.

... Now I'm imagining Palpatine being assisted with the Force Ghost of one Albert Wesker. :p

But more seriously, with lightly rereading the old updates for a certain character. I couldn't help but notice if one looks into previous interaction/s with one Anakin... Are we quickly becoming a stronger/deeper counterpart/temptress that Palpatine was?

Except, in a way/manner that instead of 'falling' to the New Sith Order, as Darth Vader. He could very well instead fall for the Abyss instead... Which, depending on Obi-Wan tier revelation/intervention, may lead to a whole bunch of Espionage/shadow wars/interest with the Jedi, who may go Yoda tier panic on how we're "totally not a Force User" being false, may be walking on the fine edge with skill not known to a Black/White dogma, and preparing to save the galaxy from a really dangerous Sith Lord, in spite of our... Grey background.

Clearly, it'd be as if the Old Jedi Order would react to a Force User Han Solo, just using the force over following a Light/Dark alignment. :p

Here are our new traits!

So 5 new traits with a total of +24 stat points between them and we've not even reached the interludes for the turn. Last turn we got something like 6 traits in the turn (maybe 7 depeneding on if you count the upgrade of Ciaran's Shatterpoint). At this rate, trait gain alone will make Ciaran and her heroes dangerous even if some enemy manages to dismantle the CNS and the Abyss Watchers.

Now how to we recruit Ashoka so we can pump her full of awesome traits?

Now I am imagining the Jedi becoming the Enemy Bossfight after Palpatine. Does anyone else think Obi Wan, Mace Windu and Yoda would make really scary antagonists?

Even worse than fighting an evil enemy who you hate and despise, is fighting implacable enemies who you like and respect...

So. Time to invest more in the Karanda corporation (which has been seriously lagging anyway) and medical infrastructure on Taris so we can quickly deploy the cure there.

Perhaps if they reach the rank of Abysswalker they make a formal lightsaber made of silver? There's no rule a person can just have one lightsaber.
You've got it backwards. Agents would get generic silver lightsabers, Walkers would create their own customized ones as part of the promotion ceremony.

I actually like the idea of silver sabers (understand, I've had zero interest the saber colour debate, so this took me from "zero" to "ooooooh").

The question is...how do you make these corporations go away?

Um... I don't understand. Why is Ciaran upset about this? Why does she not want this?

Remember CIS where Gunray type sleazebag leaders are a norm (civil council notwithstanding, they are also victims)? These corporate guys are only interested in money, and don't care about who gets hurt. In a way they might 'corrupt' CNS image

(up until now we/Ciaran kept undesirable parts out of Neutral systems, so without getting those backstabbing bastards Zatiln and Xucphra, who are motivated primarily by greed, there might be CONSIDERABLE problems)

So... um... we might have been focusing a bit too much on improving martial skill for Ciaran.

Because right now, at this moment? She could take the Silencer in a fist fight.
