... his destinty is to balance the Force, in the films he did that by destroying the Jedi. Let's subvert the destiny by showing him that he still has agency and can still decide what he wants to do, before his epiphany after killing Sidious. Ciaran already got examples for how that can be achieved. He's the Chosen One which means he's not only the most powerful force user in the entire galaxy by default, his destiny is to destroy the Sith. The question is whether he can get powerful enough to fulfill his destiny in time.
One thing we can do is found a dedicated scavenger fleet to scavenge the remains of space battles. It's a good way to make a ton of dosh, especially since scavenging on a mass scale isn't something that's done by anyone yet. What about space-based refinery&fabricator (monster)ship? There are lots of shipwrecks out there, after all.
In canon, it is the Sith who cause the imbalance. By killing Sidious in Return of the Jedi, Anakin fulfilled his destiny and brought balance to the Force as after Sidious there were no Sith left, only Jedi. Balance as you described it is only canon in Darths & Droids.... his destinty is to balance the Force, in the films he did that by destroying the Jedi.
Not the worst canon to use ...Balance as you described as such is only canon in Darths & Droids.
What's the maximum sublight speed in SW?
A planetary strip miner is ludicrously cost effective at mining though.
And can be used with asteroids, moons, hell planets, ...A planetary strip miner is ludicrously cost effective at mining though.
A planetary strip miner is technologically and materialistically entirely out of our reach. A strip miner capable of doing their thing on planets isn't even physically possible, as anything that large would have its own gravity well and fuck everything right up. That's why even super-massive corporations still use conventional mining.A planetary strip miner is ludicrously cost effective at mining though.
I'm more in favor of offering him an out. A way to marry Padme openly, best possible protection and care for her and their children and for him a chance to do good for teh Galaxy without the restraints of the Jedi.We need to talk to Obi-Wan about Anakin. We need to decrease the inner conflict of the Skywalker, both to accelerate his growth in power for the Sidious assassination and to prevent him from falling to the Dark Side. Obi-Wan is they key to that, as he is a Master of the Council and Anakin's closest friend. Obi-Wan may be an orthodox Jedi, but even he is imperfect as his..."interactions" with Siri and Satine can testify, and more significantly (and relevantly), how he loves Anakin as a brother, which will be the lever we will use to manipulate him into being a better friend for Anakin.
We need to explain to him the inner conflict within Anakin. Not the full extent of it, just what would be obvious from the age in which he was inducted into the Order and his connection to his mother. The Jedi recruit young to minimise the younglings' attachments and make them better Jedi, but Anakin was brought in far older than most younglings. But more than that is his connection to his mother, whom he loves dearly and whose bond with her that cannot be severed or diminished. Attempting to do so as the Order has been doing does nothing but increase the internal conflict within him, hindering and distracting his growth as a Jedi. Anakin will never be a perfect Jedi as the Order wants him to be, and it is up to Obi-Wan to accept that and support him, to show Anakin that he understands. Anakin's flaws means he can never be a perfect Jedi, but with support from his friend and mentor if no one else, he can still be a great one.
Why do we care? Two reasons. First of all, we consider him to be a friend - as we do Obi-Wan - and we want him to be ok for his own sake. Second, he is extremely powerful in the Force, more powerful than anyone we've ever seen. With that kind of power, he can do a great deal of good for the galaxy, but his inner turmoil hinders him. If it's resolved - or at least partially resolved - his progress as a Jedi will continue more smoothly. The Jedi are one of the greatest pillars of peace of the galaxy and ensuring that he's the best Jedi he can be - emphasis on "he can be" - is the obvious route to a better galaxy.

Isn't the general end game for us to more or less rule the galaxy?
Wouldn't it be a lot easier if the Jedi were gone, or at least severely weakened?
We could (try to) get rid of Palpatine before the Republic unravels completely.Honestly if Palp wasn't gonna ruin our business I wouldn't really be for killing him. It'd be interesting to see something where he isn't the enemy. However, we've made it onto his kill list. By that same token I don't really think we have anything against the jedi. Plus keeping them around has interactions that are enjoyable. If the Order is gone how will we troll them?
All it needs to be able to do is create an artificial gravity field of between one and two Gs in a volume maybe a mile deep and, say, ten miles wide. Crack down past the crust of magnetically dead planets and mine the mantle, or even core if the object is small enough.A planetary strip miner is technologically and materialistically entirely out of our reach. Use force, like (turbo) lasers to create gravel, use tractor beams to lift and process - would a version of that work? And think about doing that to stellar bodies like Mercur or the Earth's moon, not necessarily sth. like Earth. Bulk mining and processing in one go, schedule regular transports to ship the refined ore.And that's the problem -- we do not, in fact, have the tech for that.
Yeah, you'd think "that's a no" given Teron's lack of familiarity, except Tsils are basically the same sort of creature as Shards, which is what Cheriss Sair turned out to be. @Dr. Snark, this reminds me of our thread instantly guessing Mnggal-Mnggal after the Wesker interlude. I guess the lesson is that somehow, someway, someone in this thread will instantly recognize whatever bizarre species you throw at us.
How not? Interdictors create 'gravity wells', every ship has artificial gravity; just up scale that. And that's the problem -- we do not, in fact, have the tech for that.
We never did unravel that conspiracy, and I'm curious if that was Palpatine or some other off-world agent provocateur...[X] Quell unrest the stealthy way: Have your agent 'handle' the noisiest protestors on Naboo and look if someone from offworld is responsible for the mess. The fact that on this Planet in particular nobody can possibly hide from you is quite an advantage. Chance of Success: 80% Reward: Unrest on Naboo reduced/ended
Required: 20 Rolled: 15+10=25
Well, this went nearly wrong. Someone actually paid criminals to cause additional amounts of ruckus of the violent sort and your men only barely managed to 'convince' them not to do so. Through the generous application of non-lethal weaponry to their heads. A fact is though that nobody managed to figure out who originally stirred up the protests to the degree they actually reached, not to mention that you are quite sure that the one responsible has already left the planet. Result: Unrest quelled, Individuals responsible have escaped
In other words, we have ... an ongoing 'information exchange' with the Jedi Sentinels.
the reward-- for a super-crit that ensured the survival of all the Jedi who pursued Omega to Korriban -- was ... the "possibility to get unrequested aid once per turn"
No one wants to discuss what that looks like, & how it would affect our current situation to have an "in" with the Jedi's version of the CIA? No one's curious to figure out what happened to the mass-murdering mad scientist with a penchant for bioweapons?
