Hmmm

Possibly. Plus we have all of the smaller Force orders that we can convince to be more proactive or to come under our employ. There was one order in fact that was an all female order of pacifists who use guile to win. They sound like the perfect hand maidens and Abysswatcher diplomats imo :)
Fixed that. Not every organization that uses the force are Jedi. In fact the majority are not. Jedi just happen to be the main focus of the franchise.

Hm...tell you what, I'm going to push this off until next year and justify it by saying that the CNS patrols haven't properly examined the planet yet. But it'll be a thing by then.

I don't mind ysalamiri being a thing we can get, but I really don't want this to be too easy. The ysalamiri are horrendously rare, die when removed from their trees (at least, until Talon Karrde figured out how to get around this - but that was thousands of years after the ysalamiri were first discovered, so is unlikely to be easy) and undermine one of the core concepts of star wars. They are kryptonite in a setting where there are thousands of kyrptonians running around, and making kryptonite too easy to get makes things too easy when most of the enemies are super-powered.

On the other hand, that's probably a good thing, because in canon the Muun Council inexplicably continued to follow San Hill's lead even after the Battle of Muunilist. But our antics will (probably) have clued them in on "hey, wait, maybe there's a Door #3?"

Going after Muunilist this turn does sound like a fine idea.

Of course, the battle of Muunilist may not yet have happened - Ciaran has seriously been changing the way the Clone Wars play out (much of that to strengthen the CIS).

Plus, the D'Astan sector is kinda long and squiggly anyway, and I'm kinda inclined to cut it in half anyway, which would let Dooku keep his 'sector' (and turn Serenno into a sector capital!) while we get to play with all the cool toys on our side of the line.

Basically, I'd really like feedback. Anyone have any thoughts?

Shall we ignore the systems in Dooku's direction, or push our borders a bit too close for comfort?
Should we risk fixing Dooku's attention on us? Or should we troll him even harder?

Well... My omake is canon, so OOC we know that Dooku is under orders to bend over backwards accommodating the CNS so that Palps can work on painting it as a new Mandalorian Empire. So... Maybe going after Serenno would be a good way of provoking a split between Palps and Dooku? (Albeit, one that might come at a cost of war with the CIS.)

Turn 23 Rumor Mill/Mandalorian Politics Report
Galactic News:
New Mandalore Declared:
Stunning news has come from Mandalore that the Guardians of the planet have declared Jango Fett to be their new Mandalore, a title that has not been formally claimed by the Mandalorians in centuries. While most governments have chosen to stay quiet on the matter for now as they determine whether or not Jango will remain in power as well as how to react to this news, the declaration from the Guardians alone has caused Mandalore to gain significant political influence. Mandalore's political power can only be expected to increase should this new Mandalore maintain his position.

Onderon Civil War Intensifies: The civil war on Onderon has intensified as the rebel forces on the planet have managed to score a significant amount of victories against the CIS-supported regime, forcing the CIS to send additional reinforcements to the planet. According to Republic military analysts, the rebels may have managed to delay the CIS' newest offensive in the area.

Underworld News:
Piracy In Northern Rim Mo
re Profitable: Due to an increase in contracts on transports in the Northern Rim, pirates in the area have been increasingly aggressive, attacking other smugglers and pirates due to high bounties.

Debates Among Scattered Mandalorians: The declaration of a new Mandalore has made many Mandalorian mercenaries and bounty hunters question where their current allegiances lie as many are skeptical of the declaration. However, the fact that said Mandalore is Jango Fett has inspired confidence in those who are familiar with him, though they too have adopted a "wait-and-see" policy for the time being.

Organization News:
Plague Prevention
Successful: Offering bounties on the ships that have been marked as plague-carriers in the Northern Rim has effectively stopped the newest plague before it even began, with only a few sporadic infections on pirate ships that were quickly cleaned up.

CLASSIFIED: Sith Phantom Employee!?: While this is only known to the upper echelons and high-ranking Agents, Lady Ciaran has officially declared that the phantom of Darth Vectivus is to be treated as a fellow employee with all of the rights and benefits the position provides. Debates have begun on how one would provide a Sith phantom with said benefits, with no clear answers determined as of yet.

CLASSIFIED: Sidous Candidates Narrow: The operation on Nam Chorios and information gleaned from Talzin on Dathomir have greatly reduced the candidates for Darth Sidious' public identity, though there is still no conclusive idea to his identity as of yet. No one in upper command wants to admit that they're not entirely certain they want to find out the answer to that question...

Excerpt From Report #23589, Submitted by Thrawn: Detailed Analysis of Current Political Climate of Mandalore

As you are no doubt aware, the declaration from the Guardians that Jango Fett is the new Mandalore has naturally caused significant upheaval within Mandalorian society, though thankfully there have been no major incidents as of yet. Below are brief summaries of the different political groups of Mandalore's reactions to the event, with more detailed analyses of each group following.

Guardian Corps: Made up of relatively young members of the New Mandalorians, they support Jango wholeheartedly as their new Mandalore. As one might expect, this faction has significant support from younger people like themselves.

New Mandalorians: While they are nervous at Jango's return, Satine placing him under surveillance as well as Jango's cooperation have assuaged their fears, though as pacifists they are still nervous at having a new Mandalore be present nonetheless.

Conservative Mandalorians: This group of Mandalorians who are more supportive of an aggressive Mandalorian policy have been cautiously optimistic at Jango's return, though many are waiting to see if he can maintain his status.

Mandalorian Fringe: The most mixed reactions come from this group of the most fanatical Mandalorians; some are overjoyed to see a Mandalore return, whereas others have stated that Jango has no right to the position. We have taken steps to ensure that the latter group does not gain traction or attempt anything...rash.

CNS Space/Abyss Watchers Assets (As of Turn 22 Results)
Map: Abyss Watcher Assets & CNS Space
In addition to the Quelii sector (with Dathomir itself), this turn the CNS picked up Thesme and about half of the D'Astan sector, not including the northern subsector that contains Serenno. Pretty easy to justify in-story: recall that we were the ones who supplied their planetary defense forces for anti-piracy (so that's Axxila), and was responsible for helping Dooku contact with the nearby systems around Serenno (so there's Celanon). I also added Alpheridies and the few sectors between them and Neutral Space. The only questionable decision here was also adding the Noonian and Weneen sectors west of Dathomir -- however, I will say that a) those sectors lie between 'spiral arms' and have minimal population, and b) adding them made it a lot easier to draw the CNS borders.

As a Paradox fan, I can tell you that pretty borders are best borders, no matter how many counties you have to conquer to get pretty borders.

Why is the left side of the galaxy not inhabited/explored? Was it reserved for future canon expansion? Sad, if it was, because none will be coming.

And then you play as some place in the Holy Roman Empire or even worse... the mod Voltaires Nightmare... and go completely insane since there are no pretty borders to be had.

Pretty much all of that is the Unknown Regions. Which is why it's so easy for people to hide in there and weird shit to come out of it.

Must...unify...HRE...must...have...pretty borders...

I don't know about you guys, but Kalee looks very lonely being by itself on the map. Maybe we should get Munnilist into the CNS so it would be less lonely? :p

It's called the Unknown Regions for a reason, and has been for tens of thousands of years. As is, don't quite me on this but I think the reason there isn't any major colonization (it IS inhabited, by the way, just not as thoroughly nor as thouroughly mapped as the rest) is because galactic exploration followed the hyperspace lanes over the millennia (per my readings) and those never really drove into the Unknown Regions.

How very Ciaran :D

Huh, I wonder how our council feel about Ciaran's association with the phantom of a Sith Lord? Especially her Grandfather, I mean, he handed her a Holocron that turned out to be a Sith Holocron, now she's found the lost sanctum of said dead Sith and has been talking with the aforementioned dead Sith Lord.
Next she's probably going to be planning an expedition to Malachor, one of the most forsaken and damned star systems in the Galaxy to go looking for a Sith temple in hopes of looking for another dead Sith Lord apparently considered so out there that both Jedi and Sith considered her a dangerous heretic.

Silas is scoundrel certainly, but I wonder if he has any qualms about Sith things, particularly when they involve his beloved granddaughter?

Where next? Dromund Kaas? Korriban? I'd be getting pretty worried in Silas' shoes.

Silas is scoundrel certainly, but I wonder if he has any qualms about Sith things, particularly when they involve his beloved granddaughter?

Well he's gotten a copy of the more relevant information in the Vectivus holorcron like a lot of other people have so he knows that the man is not the "murder everyone in sight" kind of Sith. He was a bit nervous about Ciaran going on her journey to Bimmel but it wasn't really anything significant.

He'd probably shut Ciaran down if he heard she was going to Malachor, though. Which is why he's probably not going to hear about it...

@Dr. Snark does Darth Vectivus count as a Lore adviser?

...
...
...For the purposes of hilarity: YES (though you aren't getting another action from him since he's stuck on his asteroid).

For some reason i see Darth Vectivus telling Ciaran that she is like a daugther to her while she is doing Ciaran things, because while she alredy has daugthers and sons none probably were as similar as Ciaran is to him.

No, though it's mostly because I'm not really sure how that would work mechanically. I'm already giving you a Sith Phantom as an advisor (of sorts), what more do you people want from me!? :V
Besides unlimited power?

Edit before I forget again, will Darth Vectivus be willing to teach Sith Force powers?
