[X]The Lucasfilms Christmas Party of 1978: Time to have a party! DC: 0 Rolled:D100 => 33

"We're having the party early?" You asked… "And here?"

"George wants to spend some time with us, Mike is in Japan, and we haven't been able to do anything like this since last year. Marcia is also bringing Wallie."

"Wallie?"

"You really want George to call George, Junior?"

You frowned. "But Wallie?"

Carrie shrugged. "Well, it's what they call him."

You frowned as George opened the door. "I hope we're not late. And I call him Wallie because why would I call him Junior."

You frowned as George set Wallie down next to Mary and the two began to babble. "It's good to see you, Bruce."

"And without work." You replied as you hugged Marcia, as he watched the two children interact. "So… you brought food, you shouldn't have?"

Marcia frowned. "I am not going to wait two hours to eat while you make a perfect steak. We are going to be having chicken, gravy, and asparagus."

"Did you make it?" You asked.

"You really think I made this?" Marcia laughed. "No. One of the guys at the office did."

"Was it Dave?" You asked.

"Yes, it was Dave. He's sorry he couldn't get a ham." She replied.

Hours passed as you ate, drank, and enjoyed each other's company, while the two children both played around the house, while you chaperone.

However, in the end, everyone went to bed satisfied. But you were thinking one thing.

What did those two kids do when you were not looking?

Reward: You had a wonderful time.

And you have a question to ponder.

-[X]The Toho Fuck ups: So Toho broke a contract. Time to make them pay for it! DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 1

Legal Team Reroll:D100 => 2

Unforeseen consequences:D100 => 50

So… Toho. You fucked around and hid an entire clause in the contract, improperly placed, and ill-defined…

And it worked?

It seems that in your suit, they had gained several powerful friends within the American Judiciary system, as well as friends from Disney and Universal… that actually explained a lot of things actually.

And they were, to put it lightly, making a mockery of you and the legal team. After numerous months… You learned, and Mike learned, to much of his dismay, that the contract had a back date clause when it was amended with Mike last year to finish up for the final round of films to release. A Back date clause with an additional clause.

Set to a year prior to the original contract date, with a clause stipulating in the last two years, Toho was in its legal rights to go to other distributors if it felt that Lucasfilms was not "Meeting and exacting reception to the building of the Toho Brand in America". A statement that was not hard to miss, and a huge fucking red flag, that, at any other time, with any other company, would have been thrown out, because of other information later in the contract.

Mike missed it. You missed it, and George missed it, and so did all your lawyers.

But Toho's didn't. And it seems, neither did anyone else after it was revealed. But it seems the judge… You didn't remember the name, just ruled in favor of Toho, Disney… and everyone else, not Lucasfilms. Partially because you think they were up for election and wanted to earn the bigger companies, and possibly their employee's votes…

But also because something told you that several powerful people wanted it to go Toho's way. You didn't know who, but there was a lot of money behind them. Too much money even.

Now, as you say, you were not forced to pay Toho money, nor did any film you released in America have to be given the profits back…

But Toho was in their legal right to look for distributors.

And they were putting an end to the Lucasfilms Experiment. Permanently.

Critical Failure: Toho pulled a fast one on you, and managed to not only come out of it smelling like Roses… But also making Mike, you, and Everyone in Lucasfilms Management, look the fool.

You also think a lot of powerful people wanted you to fail.

Meanwhile, in Japan, Akira Kurasawa is outraged at the great dishonor to the people who helped him and severed all ties with Toho.

But he was the only one who did. The only director who had the courage to do what he felt was right, and he was alone. And now he is on a plane to America.

To meet with the men who may have saved his life.

Mike Eisner, George Lucas… and man who brought them all together... Bruce O'Brian. And offer his services.

-[X]The Next Mike Eisner Action Plan of 1978: Mike needs to meet up with the directors, Alan... and You, to get everything going. This year was a success. But it could be better. DC: 0 (Begin a miniturn to develop new movies) Rolled:D100 => 94

Well, Mike got everyone in the entire thing…

And hell, Everyone is kind of excited.

But no one had ever seen a truly driven Mike Eisner.

Not until now. He was pissed.

(Continued in: The Mike Eisner Action Plan… Once Again)
---------------------------------------
-[X]The Final Preparations: George was ready, and he gave you the script, the story and his notes. "What You've been busy, so I just uh… did some work for you." DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 89
-[X]Cementing some Bridges: Tomino and Ralph both had two differing takes… but now is not the time for fighting. DC: 30 Rolled:D100 => 7 (Autopass)

You were honestly worried that the two men were about to come to blows.

Yet somehow, George managed to make them see the light. Or by that, you mean he sat their asses down and told them that the childishness that Tomino and Ralph were displaying, and he wanted it to end.

That led to Tomino and Ralph being forced to compromise on both the design of Cloud City, taking much of Ralphs's exterior of the city, with a large saucer/dome thing, on a very thin piece of metal.

But it was the exterior that Ralph relented on. Tomino had wanted to make Cloud City not only the mining station that George envisioned but also…

Well the simple thing that was, he wanted to add far more "City!" in Cloud City. And he started with the base that Ralph made and then added color. Color everywhere. Graffiti, different colors that seemed to be added on by workers and people, and then there was also some stuff that seemed to be…

Well made it seem alive. Far more than what Ralph first started with.

And even Ralph said that in the end… it might have made his work better.

The carbonite chamber, Tomino's white whale, was unfortunately refused by George, who just… took Ralphs's design because it was dark foreboding, and infinitely scarier. It was like the belly of the beast.

Yet that was paling in comparison to George.

George was pretty much doing everything that you did last time, with Mike riding shotgun. And George was truly in control, hell, he told Mike that unless he said something smart, he should remain quiet, and be very happy that he was producing this film.

Mike was… honestly scared and just spoke very little. It was hilarious to see a man like Mike be cowed by George.

Billy Dean William was brought on after a large, almost ten thousand person audition, and over 500 people were read lines by Harrison again, who was happy to get the work, with Alan and so many much more, even with some film called Indiana Jones being cast that George and Steve were working on, and he was the only choice.

And honestly, the Emperor was brought in, and you did not expect some unknown, to you, Ian Mcdiarmid, was the one who was hired, for one scene.

And you read the script. That was great. Lawrence listened to you.

Reward: Ralph and Tomino have managed to work something out. And it was freaking great!

And George, maybe proved he was incredible as a producer, and he's happy that he doesn't have to direct because he can actually sleep.

All Rolls for the Film itself, and the Film Quality, will increase by +50.
------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]The Hokadio Connection: You joined Mike to go to Japan to speak to the Minster of Culture. DC: 20 Rolled:D100 => 98

It all began with a meeting with the Minister of Culture, and him basically told you both two things.

One, he wanted to make sure Hokkaido was able to be seen with the beauty of Japan, and that the entire nation of Japan was behind, and that to film the battle scenes, there was a very high… 99% likelihood that they could spare an entire division of the JSDF to fill out the scenes.

This means the Costume Department must begin to work now just to fill them out.

Also, he told you to not worry about amenities and waiting for permits. They would have them covered.

He was betting, quite literally, tens of millions of dollars that Star Wars would give Japan the Boom that the filming may bring.

So… You took that bet.

Reward: While Filming in Hokkaido, Gain a +30 to all rolls. All the Battlerolls will be gaining a +50 to their rolls due to the JSDF assisting you.

Including Ariel shots. (Poor Noboru)
--------------------------------------

-[X]The Sunrise: So time to cement Sunrise as a truly awesome Subsidiary DC: 20 (Also cost 20 million) Rolled:D100 => 65

Sunrise was paid for in an hour, and you learned later…

That every single animator there got a raise to over 70,000 dollars a year, because Tomino said he was paying everyone like they paid them in America.

And it everyone fall in love with you.

Reward: Sunrise Studio has been added to Lucasfilms, as the Japanese Animation Branch or the Japanese Branch of Dreamworks.

The Rights to all Shows made by them are now yours.

Unknown Effect.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Media Blitz of Conan The Barbarian: You are looking at the media list that Mike put up. "Alright, who's first?" He said. (Linetail what you want to do next) DC: ???
--[X] While you're in Japan, arrange for an interview with a popular Japanese news outlet to promote Conan. You speak fluent Japanese and Japan is a big fan of Lucasfilms, take the opportunity to ensure that Conan gets a big response overseas. Rolled:D100 => 96

You knew you were popular. You didn't know you were that popular.

From the time you arrived to the moment you took off, you were bombarded by media, fans, and everyone in between, wondering what Bruce O'Brian, the famous Han Solo, was doing in Japan.

And you did what every good actor did. Play to the crowd. You spoke Japanese and it was broadcast almost everywhere in Japan, with everyone waiting to hear every single word you said.

Conan the Barbarian, which was unknown even to anglophiles in Japan, exploded and the Howard Estate got a petition for over one million people to translate the books to Japanese.

And… well. You were damn sure it would sell like hotcakes.

Reward: Your blitz was a huge success. Conan will make so much money here.

Unknown huge positive Effect.
------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Brandon Needs to Graduate, Part 2: Brandon. Guess what, I'm going to get you through accelerated classes. Good luck. DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 70
-[X]There is Training: So Brandon, you have been taught by many of Bruce's Other students, well time to see if you're ready to learn from… you. DC:20/??? Rolled:D100 + 30 => 49

While Brandon did not slack on his martial arts training, you both focused on him getting to pass several classes he was struggling with. Most notably, Math, Science, and… English?

Carrie had words with him, and made him sit down and learn how to write well.

Reward: Brandon is now getting far better at his studies, though he is scared of Carrie. She is brutal as a taskmaster.
---------------------------------------
-[X]Brandon and Mary: Brandon frowned at the costume. "I am not going to continue this charade." "yes you will, or your mother will hear about this." Rolled:D100 => 57(Autopass)

But he was unhappy at the dinner plays. "Squire Brandon, smile for my daughter and scream in terror." You ordered.

Brandon did not. "This is humiliating. I am not doing that."

Carrie shook her head. "Please, she wants to see her Squire Brandon flee in terror."

Mary was in her dragon outfit and making several roars, but also getting fussier and upset that Brandon was not doing anything to react to her.

"I am not going to be following the whims of a baby." He muttered.

"It's not any baby Brandon, it's Mary the Dragon." You laughed as you took another picture. "So please, do it for me."

Brandon sighed. "OH MY GOODNESS, THE GREAT DRAGON WE'RE DOOMED!"

Mary was laughing as Brandon fell onto his butt and groaned in embarrassment. "Great got a smile out of her." You said.

Reward: Poor Brandon, but hey, you served a good cause by getting a little girl to smile.
----------------------------------------------------

-[X]A Beautiful Night: Carrie snuggled you close. "Is it wrong that I enjoy every moment of this?" She asked. "I want us to have this forever." Rolled:D100 + 40 => 109

Carrie laughed and smiled as you both lay in bed. "I want us to have this forever."

There was a moment of silence as you smiled back. "I do too."

You both embraced each other before Carrie kissed down your neck. She then started- "Carrie, you promised we would wait." You said, groaning as she pulled back, and you stopped her hand from reaching down there.

"I know, but it's a safe day, and I want to enjoy every moment we have before work makes it impossible."

Both of you just lay there, looking at each other before her smile finally caused your to break and you kissed her.

So you did grant her what she wanted.

Reward: You and Carrie have a very… active yet relaxing night.

Meanwhile: Mr. Blue Sky
Mr. Blue Sky:

(Joseph POV)

The general of the Soviet Tank Colum was clearly like the old Generals you had spent time around during Korea. You never met ole Mac, but you think the corncob was blood and gutsy and did not care about anything but victory. But you never knew Soviet generals.

"<Sir, the leader of the refugee group… the mercenary.>" The soldier saluted as he turned to face you.

Yazov was the man's name and he blew a puff of smoke from his cigarette. "<Does he speak Russian?>" He asked.

"<Yes>." You stated as the general laughed.

The General laughed. "Leave us." He ordered and his men left, and he pointed to the chair, and he smirked. "Joseph O'Brian, adventurer, mercenary, and missionary, also acting as humanitarian for the Red Cross and an investigator about the crimes being committed by my forces." He then offered a cigarette, but you waved it away. "You're name has been coming up quite a bit since the revolution started… too much even."

"You do know you are violating international law. Even with your credentials, the Government of Romania has already asked for Soviet assistance in accordance with numerous treaties that were signed with previous governments of Romania, and are you acting as a stateless combatant supporting terrorists, instead of an international aid worker." He then blew smoke in front of your face. "I can have you shot."

"We both know that the people right here that are in this town fleeing down those roads are not combatants, only refugees." You replied. "Fleeing your men."

"My intelligence says differently, that in that group there are over a dozen terrorists embedded within it. We need to apprehend them."

You sighed. "Violating the protection of refugees in those camps? You really want to become a war criminal?"

"It's only a war crime if you lose, and I do not plan to," Yazov stated. "So, we can do this in an easy way… or I have my men do things the hard way."

You found yourself singing. "No."

"You don't understand the situation that you are in." Yazov stated.

"I understand it perfectly." That made Yazov pause, reading your face before you smirked. "Do you?"

Yazov frowned at that before he looked at you with a glare. "What?"

"International journalists came with me." You stated. It wasn't entirely a lie, but you knew that they were soon on the way. "Lots of people with cameras aimed squarely at your men. What happens when there is nothing, and they see you for what they really are?"

Yazov chuckled. "The Press won't get that story out."

"And what if it does Yazov? Do you think the Politburo will enjoy that kind of scrutiny, with their generals committing war crimes against citizens of an ally? I am no expert on politics General, but I know how people react when they see something they don't like. Especially when it's a government for the welfare of the workers."

Yazov drew his service pistol, clearly angered at what was being told to him… before he laughed. "Quite a predicament that we have here don't we?" He then holstered the pistol. "You have 48 hours to evacuate those refugees, Mister O'Brian. This is not a kindness that I will extend a second time."

Then he said. "But know this. My men and every member of the Soviet Army will have standing orders to kill you if they see you."

He smiled. "Get out of this country. This isn't a war for mercenaries and good men. Don't make it yours."

At that. You left.

You didn't have much time, seeing as Yazov just put a kill order on your head. But you could save these refugees. Yugoslavia was only 40 miles away.

Hopefully, Sarah wouldn't be too mad about this.

AN: A small taste.

Yes, Joseph successfully negotiated for the lives of the refugees, and his own life, and as to why he decided to remain in the states.

Considering that if he was seen in Romania, he'd be killed... well he'd decide that it be best to stay home until things cool off.

The Mike Eisner Action Plan… Once Again
The Mike Eisner Action Plan… Once Again

"Those fuckers messed with the wrong company," Mike said as everyone in leadership was there. "They will fucking Pay!"

Dreamworks directors were there, Steve and company were there, along with Francis, and even George was down from San Francisco to keep this going.

Of course the newest of these members of Sunrise, the now President of Sunrise, instead of CEO, Makoto Asanuma. Who was very uncomfortable being here, considering that he was now only a cog in the greater machine of Lucasfilm.

Yet the fact he was here, said everything. They were equals in this hierarchy… mostly.

Mike was pissed off to all hell, and he wanted to make war with Toho. so that may have lowered them on the Totem pole for a thing.

"Well?" He looked to you. "Any plans here Bruce?"

"Why are you looking at me like that, I'm about to work on Star Wars, and we have hundreds of millions of dollars to work with, so why do I have to get involved in this? You're running the show Mike?"

"Last I checked, you owned the company with George, and you two need to sign off on this," Mike replied. "Because last I checked, we don't have shareholders to answer to, just you."

Point. "George?"

"Hey you all haven't asked me to come down more than once a month, and I've been with ILM getting Patents up the Wazu." He then smiled. "You're the one here."

Fuck, you had to be the responsible one and risk all your money.

Oh well, with all the money that came in this year, you were sure that things would be great.

Fuck.

The current Lucasfilms Warchest:

2,405,060,235 (This is the money you have available for producing the movies.)

Now what do you do?:

- Steven Spielberg: Steve is really an imaginative storyteller, someone who loves doing adventures that harken back to his youth. While currently, he has the ambition to prove his critics wrong, because they think he cannot do anything without a gimmick. He's best used for Adventure stories, ones that are more akin to the serials that he grew up on. For now at least. He's young, just like you. But he wants to do other things that make him artistically fulfilled. He has proved that he can stay on target with Conan, despite crazy crap going on.

- Martin Scorsese: Martin is easily the greatest artist of the Group of Directors, and that is everyone's opinion, even your own. He wants to make thought-provoking films that are interesting, for everyone. He's a sucker for the Urban dramas that have been made, but he also isn't afraid to tackle new challenges, from epics to biopics… to even something as simple as an adventure story. As long as it strikes a resonating chord with him, he will get it done. Though he also has struggles going over time, all of those things were not his fault, and a result of studio interference. The problem is… well, he wants to do his own thing sometimes… and that thing might not even be created yet. And he doesn't want to make popcorn films like other directors do in their spare time. Even if he might have to.

- Brian De Palma: Brian is the odd one out. He likes directing, has a strong directing talent and he's great for budget and other things. But he has a problem that, in his opinion could be a problem. He's not the best at working with original screenplays, preferring to adapt novels, stories or even outright remaking others than trying his best to make his own. He said that he strongly believes that if he has a framework, he can make it better because he can contort the story to the cinema. And well, he's the only one who hasn't really gone over budget or schedule. Yet he hasn't really worked on huge projects before, so it would be a change for them.

- Paul Schrader: Paul is one of the great writers of The Writers Room, who has a great track record of making good movies. As a writer. As a Director, he's not unproven, but not the most... Creme de la creme, as much of the studio is known for. Honestly, his output is really focused on solitary, art pieces, that are not going to make money. Though it has also led to his reputation as being... creative, but untalented. But you don't believe that is right.

- Francis Ford Coppola: Between the directors, he's the most... controlling, unknowing, and honestly, he's kind of arrogant. But there is one thing that you know. He can make a damn fine film. The problem is, he's not interested in making a quantity of films. He was an art man. You don't care about that too much, but you are running a business. And you do need to make money.

-George Lucas: George has basically pulled rank and said he was not interested in directing right now. He was far to fulfilled working with ILM and making cool shit. (George is unable to direct for this round)

Animation/Anime:

- Yoshiyuki "Kill Em All" Tomino: Head of Animation of DreamWorks, and easily one of them more talented men who work, and the man you put in charge to get your grubby little hands on Gundam. He has since proven himself to be one of the most valuble assets in Dreamworks, and despite all the work and culture clash that his arrival and subsequent hireing has caused to the American and Japanese staff, he's wonderful, though a bit depressive, and needs some help to remind himself he's truely great. He gained his nickname because Gundam had the highest body count of an Animated show... it even made it into the world record book. And he wants to make it bigger.

- Noboru "The Eagleman" Ishiguro: Another director who you hired and haven't worked with at all, mostly because he's either helping Tomino, spending time with John and Ron... or trying to get his American pilot's license. He also has been going around every airport and military base in the state to get footage of an F-16 flying, which have only been out for a month. The man loved his aircraft, and most flying scenes were under his watch, and they were the best in the industry.

- John Musker and Ron Clements: John and Ron are those two guys that work on everything, don't say anything, but always want to be doing well. Ever since their debut with "A Classical Tale" they've gathered a following of those animators who much enjoy working in more traditional projects, as well as those who keep themselves on the sidelines. You don't know how, but they just seem to bring out the best of everyone under them. They are great. And really that's all you have to say. They are great.

- Don Bluth: The Second in command, and you are damn sure he sees himself on that when it comes to Animation. Not that you could gainsay him. Out of every one of your new set of animators he is the most experienced, and the most dedicated to the art of 2D animation, to the point that he's already being called "The Old Man" by the rest. Bluth's style is still miles above everything you've ever seen, and it actually makes you wonder what the hell was Dinsey thinking by cancelling his debut movie. Well, their loss is DreamWorks' gain.

- Brad Bird: Also called "The Fledgling", Brad is a graduate of Cal Arts that decided to go with the new up and coming companny rather than the already established Disney. So far he hasn't regretted his decision, making Director at such a young age, and already trying for new assignements. So far he's working on whatever you're able to find for him, but his ambition is on new and untested stories, ideas that have yet to be given a chance.

- John Lasseter: Graduate of Cal Arts that also joined at the same time as Brad, but his interest clearly lie in computer animation and the newly established Pixar division where he spends nearly the entire day; helping with the technicians and the computer experts, learning everything about this new way of creating animated images, and pushing the boundaries on what it can accomplish for the future of animation. He's a hard man to dislike, with his own brand of humor and charm. Just don't put him and Bluth in the same room!
-------------------------------
Live Action Scripts!

- Killer Queen: A personal Project that Carrie Wrote for herself and mom. A family drama that is incredibly detailed and personal. Everyone knows that is more of you and Carrie's Project, and do not want to touch it.)

- The Kung Fu Kid (Another one of your ideas, which Brian has expressed interest in. If only because he finds the idea of shooting in Hong Kong to be absolutely delightful, and just being able to tell another simple story… But again, he's not very comfortable with not having anything to work with, and would need quite a bit of help to do it right)

- Marathon Madness (A Screwball Comedy for the Ages. Steve could absolutely do it just to fill out the roster while he works with George on his special project)

- The Playground (A Fantasy Coming of Age film that splits between kids and adults like a simple DND Campaign. No one but Carrie knows what that is, but no one said they weren't interested in it.)

- Tijuana Takedown (Dave's… Okay, you'll say it, Cyberpunk Epic. Honestly, you don't see the appeal. George likes it, but that's just because the technology required to make it is beyond anything that anyone else has. But you think someone might like it… You think. No one has any idea on how to make it)

- Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Now honestly, no one is really seeing the potential in the script, not yet at least. But what they do see is an adventure story that is worth making for the helluva it.)

- Prince of Persia: The Thousand and Second Night (Sands of Time Must be completed before this one can be made)

- Prince of Persia: Thus Spoke Zoroaster (Sands of Time and The Thousand and Second Night mmust be completed before this one can be made)

- Devil's Hour: Dead Man's Gold (Actually, Paul wants to try to make this film, wanting to redeem himself with good money making, just so he can get to make more art.)

- The Slenderman (Mike wants to make a Horror movie. And he wants to scare the shit out of everyone.)

- Deliver us From Evil (Mike wants to make a Horror movie. And he wants to scare the shit out of everyone.)

- Moonlight Dinner (Part of you wants to do it, but are leaving it on the table for others)

- Across America in 90 Days: (A comedy that is all the better for being true)

- The Dark Forest: (The story inverts the role of humanity and aliens by making the latter the hunted)

- La Victoire En Chantant: (The tale of Napoleon from his first assignment till his exile. Might be a bit redundant now that Kubrick is releasing his saga, but perhaps it's still salvageable).

- Undercover: (Biopic of Elizabeth Cochran, the real-life Lois Lane. A story deserving to be told).

- Used Cars: (The satire is strong in this one, and the whole deal with used cars make it a fun movie to make).

-The American Saga: (The Telling of a nation's history. Mike wants to wait for the 80's, and a dawn of a new decade before he sends the boys off to this)

- Romancing the Stone: (An adventure story, one that truly seems to live up to the name).

- The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey: (First part of the Hobbit tale, hopefully Christopher will agree to the changes made to the books).

- Dune (Part 1): (First part of the Dune book, you envision Francis Ford Coppola to direct this one, and he seems to be willing to take on the challenge)

- Messiah of Dune: (You'll need to finish making Dune (Both parts) before starting this one).

- Gilbert and Sullivan: The Musical: (The tale of some of the best composers told in the musical style and with compositions they created).

- Big Wednesday: (This story just sounds like a beautiful, and tragic, coming of age story. Perhaps with the right actors it can be a true contender).

- Red Dawn: (Huh, you're not going to lie, this movie just screams to be made now, though you're not sure if to make it bigger).

- Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters: (You don't know what it is about it, but the dark re-interpretation just sounds so cool).

- A Dream of a Dream: (Carrie wrote this for Debbie, and if her reaction is anything to go by, then this is one that will hit you in the feels).

- The Bros: (Huh, sounds like it would be a great comedy and something you could do now if you wanted).

- The Emerald Pimpernel: (It may be the Irish in you but you can't wait to see this being made, not to mention that it has an enemy that everyone can rally against).

- The Score: (Hmm, the characters are a bit unlikeable, but nothing that can't be fixed if you want. It may give you a franchise, but it would depend on how the audience reacts to it).

- Small Giant: (Biopic of Robert Smalls, a true American hero, and a man that deserves to have his story told).
--------------------------------
Animation Scripts:

- The Great Mouse Detective: Basil of Baker Street: (John and Ron said they want to do it, mostly because they are huge fans of Sherlock Holmes).

- Atlantis: The Lost Empire: (Everyone in the animation department wants to see this one done, though you think you can do a better job if you wati for a little while).

- Tarzan: (No one has actually tried making an animated version, despite how obvious it should be that this is the best medium to better show his adventures).

- The Legend of Sinbad: (One of the most amazing stories that deserve more love, and hopefully more adventures in the future).

- John Henry: Man of Steel: (An American folklore tale with one of its most underrated heroes.)

- War for the Crystal: (An amazing original fantasy adventure that could rival Lewis' travels to Narnia if you're creative enough)

Robert just said. "Honestly, it just fucking sucked this time around, nothing clicked, they are all good but.. They just weren't there… And Dave wouldn't stop talking about that… Cyberpunk idea and it's driving us nuts."

Dave smiled and waved. "That's because it's cool."

Reward: Three new scripts available.

And There Is Victory in Strength… and Family Turn 65 Results (December 1978-January 1979

-[X]The Master: Akira Kurasawa smiled as he looked at you and George. "<Well then, I have become a Rounin to two worthy masters>" DC:0 Rolled:D100 => 55

The old master sat at the table, away from you, Mike, and George. He had been sitting there for several minutes now, not even giving Mike a chance to speak to him. But when you arrived, there was a smile. And then he spoke. "<The One without Art… Leave.>" He then pointed to Mike, and you knew what he wanted.

"Mike uh… he wants to speak to us…" Mike was confused. "Only us."

Mike was perplexed. "Why?"

"Because he doesn't see you as an equal." You replied. And that was… well how you interpreted it. Kurasawa was now possibly, one of the most legendary directors alive, now sitting at your table. The man who had, quite literally become, according to critics in America, one of the greatest directors alive.

Yet he viewed you and George as equals. Mike then nodded. "This better be worth it."

After Mike shut the door, the old director was quiet, taking a moment to look at the tea he had prepared. He then took a sip and smiled in contentment. "<I am here because you saved my life.>" He said. "<I am in a debt that I cannot pay.>"

"Kurasawa-Sensei… Uh." George was not the linguist that you were but he was fumbling his words. "Bruce help."

"What do you want me to say?"

"<What is it you need from me, and I will do my best to help you.>" A Smile rose on his face as he said those words. "<You have heard my wish to create a great film, a Shakespearean Epic.>"

That earned a smile from you. "<So I have heard. King Lear?>" You asked.

Kurasawa smiled. "And so much more." He said in English, struggling to say the words. But he was full of emotion.

George was confused. "Um."

You bowed your head to Kurasawa. "<Thank you. We welcome you to our company with the open arms that drove you away.>"

Reward: Akira Kurasawa has joined Lucasfilms for now. He wishes to use the resources you have to create the Epics of Shakespeare that he always wanted to do, but was never able to."

In the next turn, you may give him a budget to begin production of a film that wanted to make but was forced to leave behind. Kagemusha.

He needs tens of millions to finish the film and get the rights from Toho and will be working on it at the same time as you are filming Empire.

George will also be working on the film with Mike.

Something tells you that he has a bone to pick and wants to make sure this film is the cudgel that he will use to make himself so much more than what Toho created.
----------------------------------------

-[X]And then John Wants to Direct: John Milnus looked at the thing and smiled. "Red Dawn. I wanna make it." he then explained something that he thought was interesting… "Romania is going through an urban resistance… so… what if it happens in America in a major city?" DC: 30 (Mike will give a budget) Rolled:D100 => 100

John began his War film with ten million and a promise not fuck everything up and ruin everything in San Francisco.

But then he did something incredibly stupid. He took a camera, a crew, and anyone dumb enough to follow him to get real footage.

John… John.

Reward: While also creating Red Dawn, John has gone Rouge with a guilty conscience, and has begun filming documentary films of the Romanian Revolution, learning from the people on the ground of what they are doing…

Um, John is safe, and will be back soon in a month or two to get production going, but… Goodness gracious, he's going for accuracy.
-----------------------------------------

-[X]Investing in the Future: You want to Spend some of that money you made into the company and make the whole thing better DC: ??? (Linetail what you want to invest in, and how much money you want to invest in it)
--[X]A TV Division: George isn't in the business of TV. Luckily, some people like to make high-quality Television, and will gladly accept an untested company, for more creative freedom. At least the Ed Wood Types will. (Cost 100 million Start a TV Division that will allow you to make fictional pitches into TV shows. and Increases their quality by +40, on all rolls, except for SP. All TV Pitches will have a bonus to their creation in every episode.) Name the TV Division "LucasTV". Invest money from Lucasfilms warchest. Rolled:D100 => 62

LucasTV…

"George, I'm starting to think that you are a narcissist for naming everything after you?" You asked.

George frowned. "Really? Coming from the guy who punches reporters who come close to him when you walk to the office?"

Fair enough. "You know what, fair enough." You looked at the room that was now the TV headquarters. "Who's going to run this place?"

George shrugged. "Eh."

Reward: LucasTV has been made. You can now begin producing TV shows. Though you may need someone to run this place. Eventually.
--------------------------------------------

-[X]Brandon Needs to Graduate, Part 3: Brandon. Guess what, I'm going to get you through accelerated classes. Good luck. DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 67

Brandon was never the brightest, and you knew it. But hey… He was going to graduate high school in a year if you had anything to say about it.

He was just more focused on what he wanted. Like… martial arts, acting…

Being a pain in the ass sometimes when he decides to carry Mary around in the Dragon costume because she thinks she can fly.

Things like that.

Reward: Brandon continues to bring about his own high school thing… but the thing is, he's actually doing better. Better than anything actually, because he finds himself under the watchful eye of not Carrie… but Mary.

And her Dragon outfit.
-----------------------------------

-[X]Is there Something you want to say: Brandon looks at you, and you are honestly surprised when he sits down next to you. DC: 30 Rolled:D100 => 96

You had set Mary to sleep, when you looked at Brandon, sitting by your pool, his toes in the water, as he watched the skyline of the city burn with light. He was watching… and then he asked. "Bruce, could you… sit with me?"

You nodded, realizing the young man had something on his mind, and there was going to be something said. "Alright." You sat down cross-legged next to him, and felt something rub against you.

Ginger was seemingly playing referee between the two of you as if she was ready to stop anything. But instead, you scratched her ears, and she purred. And Brandon saw you were giving him your undivided attention. "I'm sorry-"

"If it's about the photo and how you broke into my house, I already forgave you." You gave a smile. "But that's not what you want to talk about, isn't it?"

Brandon curled up into a ball. "Mom doesn't really know what I want?"

"You are young, you shouldn't know what you want, not entirely. That isn't something that should cause you to lose sleep." You chuckled.

"I wanna be an actor like Dad." his whisper was almost impossible to hear, yet you did hear it.

"And how does that help you?" You asked.

"Help me?" He asked.

"Why do you want to do that, when you are smart enough, strong enough, and more importantly, driven enough, to do whatever you want." You asked. "Why do something that is akin to chasing his ghost?"

Brandon then blurted. "Aren't you chasing his ghost?"

You shook your head. "I accepted he died because if I didn't, it would have made my life worse. He isn't a ghost that I follow. Nor is he yours" You looked deeply into his eyes. "He's a companion whose advice and lessons guide you, always by your side when you need it…" You paused. "He became something that I look back on with pride, happiness, and contentment, knowing that I am doing my best. And I think that is what he would want to do. To be happy… not chasing his ghost… but to accept that it can be better."

And that he would be proud of you, just the way you are. But those words remained quiet. "Think about what you want, really, before you choose what you want. Because what path you want, and then go after it with all your heart."

Reward: You and Brandon talk, and Brandon will grow wiser with you.

Unknown, Positive effect on Brandon Lee.

All rolls with Brandon now gain a +10.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]There is Training: So Brandon, you have been taught by many of Bruce's Other students, well time to see if you're ready to learn from… you. DC:20/??? Rolled:D100 => 92
-[X]Fighting for Fame and Fortune: The LA Winter Martial arts Tournament is coming, and Brandon wants to fight in it. So, you're going to prepare for him to win. DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 93

When the Tournament came, Brandon dominated the competition in such a way that some people nicknamed him the Dragon… one of his father's many nicknames, something that infuriated him even more.

But it also drove him to be better… and honestly, it was just something fun. Brandon didn't have to like it, but he won because he trained well… and everyone was happy to see him win.

And after he won, it seemed all the world seemed to start to notice him.

Reward: Brandon is now becoming far more comfortable with training, and his training is clearly making him stronger, and faster.

But also wiser and far more confident, and mature than he was before.
-----------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Lee Family come over to Dinner: Linda and Shannon are coming over. Time for dinner plays! DC: 40 Rolled:D100 => 32

But Linda decided to celebrate with Brandon and took him out to his favorite place to celebrate.

Failure.
-------------------------------------------------

-[X]Game Shows: You want to go on a Game show, you are sure that Lucille might get you in on one of them. DC: 40 Rolled:D100 + 10 => 24

Honestly, with everything happening…

Well, you just didn't go to Lucille to go to a game show.

Failure.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Calling You're Parents: You are going to call your parents and see what they want. DC: 10 Rolled:D100 => 56

Dad was at the door… rather you were at his?

"Wait, Dad, you're here in-"

Your father hugged you with a great big smile. "Yep. The Jumping Whale is expanding. And I'm in back in town to not only make sure my Bar is running smoothly, but also because I want to…" there was a pause. "I'm getting back into acting again?"

That surprised you. "Wait really? I thought after Five Dates-"

"Your mother wants me to not go off adventuring anymore, and thinks that Hollywood is far safer than… anywhere else?"

You laughed. "Dad, she does know it's Hollywood?"

"Eh, I'll be fine. Clint owes me a favor and I'm working on his new Dirty Harry film." He then laughed. "Come on kid, I'll get you a beer."

Your father then led you through the Jumping Whale. "What's mom think about this?"

"Oh your mother raised hell and took away my passport, so I can't leave the country." he smiled. "Also, I wanted to stay out of New York for a while, Donnie is trying to get me to do something so he can do it better to make himself look better, and the true New Yorker."

True New Yorker. "Dad, what have you been doing while I've been here?"

"Fixing potholes, ending some gang violence. Charity work, mercenary business, and fighting for freedom and liberty in Revolutionary Romania before a Russian General threatened to kill me. Things like that. I can't believe Don stole my idea of fixing the potholes in the city. Really pisses me off he did that. They even call him the 'Do it All Don' Even though he filled only one himself because he paid people to do it."

You shouldn't have asked. "I'm going to need whisky to hear this."

Reward: Joseph is in town, and founding a new Jumping Whale… and is forbidden from leaving the country by your mother.

You got drunk hearing your father's insane stories.
--------------------------------------------

-[X]Networking: Well time to start finding out who might actually be interested in meeting you. (Write-in what you want to try and network with)
--[X] Harold Ramis. A writer famous for his work with National Lampoon, you've heard on the grapevine that Ramis is shopping a script of his of a golf sports comedy and he wants to be the Director. Meet with Harold and try secure funding and distribution of it as a Lucasfilms movie. Rolled:D100 => 9

You were beaten to Harold by… Universal.

You swear that bastard Sid had a goddamn spy in your office, and you need to find him!

Failure.
---------------------------------------------------

--[X] Steven Lisberger and Donald Kushner. Lisberger and Kushner are two rookies to the Hollywood game who are trying and failing to pitch a very ambitious film called Tron. Apparently it's supposed to mix live action and animation with the story being about a man sucked into a computer. Not only does this sound like a goldmine for Pixar, but the two guys remind you very much of you and George. Set up a meeting with the two and see if you can fund and distribute Tron as a Lucasfilms movie. Rolled:D100 => 56

But it seems Lisberger and Kushner came to you.

"We-" Steven started.

But you knew everything already. You were the one that called the meeting. "Gentlemen, I'm not going to beat around the bush. We're making this movie. How much do you need?"

They had jaws dropped. "Um… the technology that we're proposing… doesn't exist?"

You smiled. "Oh, it exists. It's called Pixar."

At that, you had their attention, and they said. "Lots of money."

"We have money gentlemen… the question is… do you have a story worth telling?"

Reward: Tron can now be produced… in 4 months.

Before Empire Turn 66 (January 1979)
Before Empire Turn 66 (January 1979)

You looked at Carrie as you woke up, looking into her sleeping eyes before they opened and met your own. "Good morning." You said quietly. Mary was finally sleeping in a schedule and this is the first time you both had a good night's sleep in a very long time.

"You okay?"

"Slept like a baby." You said. "Or Mary at this point. How about you?"

Carrie took a moment to think for a moment before she kissed you. And you both kissed each other for several seconds before pulling away. "Always better with you."

"Well, I'm not leaving you anytime soon." You whispered.

A moment passed before you heard crying, and then both of you realized Mary was hungry. And possibly dirty. "I'll-"

"Yeah, we'll do that," Carrie said as she got out of bed and ran towards Mary. "Can you get breakfast ready?"

"Sure, eggs and bacon?" You asked.

"I'd love that." She replied as she ran out of the room.

Ah, Mary always knew when you two woke up so that she could cry for attention. It made you wonder.

Empire: Turn 66 Results (January-February 1979):
Empire: Turn 66 Results (January-February 1979):

-[X]Kagemusha And the Battle against Toho: Kurasawa wants his film back. And he needs your money to do it. So you will. Now if only Toho would realize that you were being nice. DC: 40 10 million dollars. Rolled:D100 => 84

Right before you began Empire, you were at Toho HQ and saw many things, including but not limited to, many Disney and Universal Studios executives in the midst of negotiations for their piece of the pie.

But what you were doing was something far more… important.

Kurasawa was with you as if he had been finally able to come back, his head held high while you seemed to see just how eager he was. And that was met with scorn by everyone else.

After all, Kurasawa, one of the great Japanese Filmmakers, left to work for the Barbarians of the West, instead of another Studio in Japan. It was a great slight to their honor.

But you didn't care. You were getting it done.

"It's quite simple," Mike said in English, as he kicked his feet up like he owned the place. Which in a sense, he did. Thay money he made them was simply… from Lucasfilms. "So, we want the rights, all of it for Kagemusha."

"You are insane." The translator proclaimed, copying the mannerisms of his boss who was ready to explode.

"No I am not. You see, I am in a very good mood right now. A very good mood. I don't want to sour this by us continuing to see several things differently but see the vision. You lose nothing from a movie that isn't finished and won't be finished with the same flair as Kurasawa has… and without his name recognition, and talent, do you really think you can make back the millions you have already spent?"

There was a pause as he asked. "How much have you spent?"

There was silence before it was finally broken. "The offer is acceptable."

"Good. My lawyers." He pointed to the several lawyers of both Japanese and American copyright walk-ins. Men who were clearly not going to make any mistakes. "We're not leaving anything to chance."

And they got everything.

Reward: Kagemusha is now being produced by Lucasfilms, and Kurasawa is now doubling his legendary efforts to turn it into a masterpiece.

-[X]Begin Empire: It's time to start filming Empire. And that means leaving America for a month or two. DC: 0 (Begin the Production of Empire) Rolled:D100 => 10

-[X]A Magical… What the fuck is that?: So George and company have brought you design plans for his new Headquarters in Northern California. Skywalker Ranch. And he wants how much? Mike, you agreed to this? DC: 20 Cost: Unknown? Rolled:D100 => 99

You looked at the huge Ranch before you almost lost your mind. "What the fuck?"

"Oh, Bruce, didn't see you there," Geroge said as he walked over to you. "What do you think?"

"What the hell is this?" You asked.

"Well, I call it Skywalker Ranch, mostly because I really am predictable, and I knew that Lucasland would be something that would not really work, plus I knew you would hate the name." He smiled. "Well I was going to ask you to pitch in, but I just decided to use the War Chest over the last year to really make this place.

"But what is it?" You asked.

"Well, I am making this my headquarters. I wanted to have a lot of fun, and I just wanted to have a place where we both could have a separate place to work on our own projects. Also, the magicians that live up north want a new place to work and I decided to listen."

"So what does this place do?" You asked as you looked at all the buildings that were constructed, but still working on. "Cause it seems to be a lot."

George smiled. "Well, let's be honest, I want someplace to also… be a place where my kids can say, 'It's our special place'" He said with a smile. "I may work here, but this is more so that, when I get tired, or board… I can just play with Wally, and be with Marcia to take the edge off."

There was a smile. "So this isn't a place where you concoct all your experiments to push filmmaking further?"

George then laughed. "I can't have both?"

Reward: Skywalker Ranch is being built, as a semi-work place for George, but also a place where George and his family can get away from the stress of life and business and spend time together.

Pixar is also moving up there with it.

But when completed, George will roll for a new breakthrough in film technology every two years.

--[X] Use $2.5 Million of the Lucasfilms Warchest to purchase the film rights to The Shining and Salem's Lot from Stephen King. The primary objective is to secure rights to The Shining. Rolled:D100 => 19

Stephan came to you with The Shining only, because he was told by his agent that The Shining was soon being purchased by Universal. It seems that Sid was ordering Stanley to do one more film before he could do whatever he wanted with his millions and his blank check.

And King was not happy with that. So he drove a few thousand miles to offer the rights.

And you took them.

Reward: The Shinning has been purchased, though Salem Lot is a no-go.

--[X] Lucasfilms Legal, $50 Million of warchest: Whether it's the Beatles, Toho or whatever bullshit Universal is concocting, Lucasfilms has frequently encountered legal difficulties and up til this point the company has been reliant on third party law firms. To defend the company from legal threats both outside and inside, establish an in-house legal department with some of the best lawyers in film so Lucasfilms can always come out on top with ironclad contracts and the highest quality defense money can buy. Rolled:D100 => 49

Mike was happy now.

He could rest easy, knowing he had the greatest legal minds in the world.

Reward: Lucasfilm Legal has been created.

All future negotiations, in any facet, will have a +30 to all their rolls… and all failures for negotiations now get a reroll.

However, if it fails twice… bad things will happen.

-[X]Protecting Mary: You will be away for a month or two in Japan, and you need to make sure Debbie and Mary are safe as houses while you away. DC: 10 Rolled:D100 => 21

You thought Debbie was joking when she said that things were being taken very seriously.

You didn't expect her to involve your father in this.

"Don't worry Bruce, she'll be as safe as anyone can be." He replied.

And at that, you didn't worry anymore. They would be safe.

Reward: Mary and Debbie are being protected by Joseph… and he would be… very protective of them.

Nothing bad will happen to them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Carrie Enjoyes Everything: "We're going to the Beach!" She said. And there was no stopping her. DC: 0 Rolled:D100 + 40 => 115

When you got to the beach, it was the early afternoon and Carrie wanted to do one thing. Surf.

"Um Carrie, we're about to-" You wanted to protest, but instead you just watched Carrie rent a board and take it out to the surf.

And she ran without a care in the world, knowing that you would follow her.

And it was, as you rented a board and followed her out in the water, and you were a little surprised that she was smiling.

There was nothing to say. And you just did things together.

And that was all you wanted to do.

Reward: Carrie and you have fun. And that is all you both can do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Dad's Got some Fun Times Ahead: So you came to the Bar to see your father kicking the snot out of some armed men. He won and was… interrogating them? "Dad, what the fuck is going on?" DC: 30 Rolled:D100 => 80

Dad… mental condition from this event:D100 => 65

Dad had them all tied up by the time you entered. "Dad. what happened?"

"Oh Bruce, I thought the cops were here. Seems we have some Cartel fuckers that decided that I needed to be intimidated."

"We're not-" One spoke before your dad just glared at him.

"One more word that is a lie, and I will hit you again." He replied as he smiled, and the men were… terrified as he looked at his partner.

"Are you sure they are part of the cartel and not some… you know, other criminals?"

"Well, I thought that Yazov was trying to kill me because i made him look bad." He then took a breath as he jumped over the bar before he threw over his magnum. "But once they started speaking Spanish, I knew that it was some cowboy trying to bring up drugs?"

"Drugs, here in LA?" You asked.

"Oh yeah," he replied. "Out of all the evil in this world, I've seen… I have seen two that made me squirm the most."

"Dad, what about the-"

"We'll be fine" He took the gun from you. "The police will be here in a minute." He stated as he put a bullet in it.

"Dad…" You stated. "Calm down."

Joseph took a breath before putting it down on the bar. "Tell you, bosses, that once you get out, you fuck around in my bar, I won't just beat the shit out of you."

Reward: Dad may have been ready to do some vigilante work on those men he took prisoner if you hadn't shown up.

You reminded him that he was a good man.

It seems that street criminals working for the cartel are trying to intimidate people.

And failed to do that to your father.

Unknown Effect.

This particular update will come after the Empire production.

There is a reason for that.

-[X]The Lee Family come over to Dinner: Linda and Shannon are coming over. Time for dinner plays! DC: 40 Rolled:D100 => 24

Linda wanted to have a nice family dinner, and as much as she considers you part of the family, Brandon is exhausted from the long studies.

Also, he's having nightmares from all the studying you made him do.

Failure.

-[X]A Plan for the Future: Carrie was sitting next to you. And she asked what you wanted to do. DC: 0 (Write in below what you want to do in the next five years)
--[X] Have a second child.
--[X] Win an Oscar
--[X] Help Brandon graduate highschool.
--[X] Become fluent in a new language.
--[X] Support Carrie in whatever she wants to do.

Carrie Reaction: Rolled:D100 + 40 => 129

Carrie looked at you and squeezed your hand as you both prepared to go to bed on the last night before you left. "Well I wasn't expecting so much."

"Neither was I honestly, but Brandon came in and made things complicated, and Mary is growing up so quickly, that I think we're doing something right."

"But really an Oscar? Are you that desperate for validation from those creeps?" She smiled as you both looked at your Oscars from previous films.

"Perhaps it's more a challenge, I never got a best actor." You stated. "Only best Picture."

That made Carrie laugh. "Oh, the things we say that sounds really stupid and arrogant."

But you paused and looked deep in her eyes. "And I want to help you in whatever you want."

Carrie was quiet. She was thinking of every word imaginable. But instead, she just said the only ones she could.

"I love you." Tears fell down her face, realizing what you meant.

"I know." As you kissed her goodnight.

And you both fell asleep in each others embrace.

Empire Strikes Back Production 1
Empire Strikes Back Production 1:

Hokkaido was beautiful, and it was one thing to see the pictures of it in the winter months from years prior, but another to see it in person, along with viewing the untouched and untapped forests and snow of the great islands' natural beauty.

But you were quite surprised when you arrived to see George was already doing… set up for filming. "What?" He asked as you looked at the many cameras in place. "You and Carrie were tired and everyone wanted to sleep off the jet lag so… we're here?"

George was smiling, before he realized what was going on. "Oh, sorry Bruce, I was-"

You sighed. "Couldn't just sit and wait could you? Are you sure you want me to direct it? I will gladly step aside if you really want to direct it-"

"NONONONONO!" He seemed to jump out of his skin. "I'm not ready to have Marcia keep me away from Wally, I promised her no directing until he's at least three."

You chuckled. "I'm just feeling that you are afraid I'll fuck it up."

At that, George shrugged. "There is no way you'll screw it up." He then smiled. "I'm just worried about Mike."

Ah, Mike was in Japan overseeing Kurasawa and you for the films, as well as trying to break bread with the companies to see if he could get something released.

One of the companies he was meeting was the Manga publishing house Shounen Jump… which really was something.

But you didn't know what the hell was going on with that.

But anyway, there was something fun that you had prepared. "Did Wally get my present?"

That made George smile. "Thanks, Bruce. He did."

"Um did we get a budget already or do we have to talk about that again?"

George laughed. "No. we're fine."

"Thank god."
-----------------------------------------

You are in Hokkaido, and you will be filming the battle scenes there.

You have 4 Actions

[]The Biggest Battle Yet: You are going to work with the Cameras, the Division of the JSDF, and your costume department to make this the most epic battle ever. It will be awesome.

[]Desprate Flight fighting: You looked at the film cameras and then got a very stupid, terrible idea. "I wanna strap a camera to your fighters while they are doing combat maneuvers." You had no idea how it would work, but goddammit you didn't care, maybe you could do something awesome.

[]Being in the Snow: Mark is complaining about the cold, mostly because of how light the snow is here, compared to other places he has been. He's a little scared that he will be not able to act so cold and afraid. You only smiled "I'll handle that."

[]Carrie's Strength: Carrie hasn't acted in years, but she's a little afraid she won't be able to hit her scenes as well as she wants to. But you instead gave a smile, and just gave a nod.

[]Mifune's Home: Torshio is incredibly happy to see Star Wars is now in his homeland, and he seems to be redoubling his efforts, despite his scenes all going to be filmed in LA at the Lucas Lot… But here, he seemed to be far more… at peace.

[]The Heavy Armor of ILM: You wanted to- OH MY GOODNESS! "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING!?"

[]The Cold Plastic of the Droids: You want to make sure Anthony and Kenny are doing okay in the snow. Despite the fact, that a space heater is nearby to thaw out the parts.

AN: Enjoy.

Empire Production Part 2
Empire Part 2

-[X]The Biggest Battle Yet: You are going to work with the Cameras, the Division of the JSDF, and your costume department to make this the most epic battle ever. It will be awesome. Rolled:D100 + 50 => 138

You honestly should have thanked the costume department for handling the great undertaking of outfitting several thousand men in the whole Tundra setting, and making it not only realistic… but cool.

The JSDF units that made up your extras, and now was called the Hoth Defense Force, were really happy to see you working on Star Wars, and they were adamant to, when not working, try and get autographs, which you didn't do every day, but you gave a few minutes of your time to get things signed for autographs and keep morale high.

And by god did you have to, because the Hokkaido winter turned very deadly very fast. The entire shoot was put at risk by a blizzard that swooped in… but then, as if by a miricle, it lessened, but still gave the dark edge. David was in costume, and you decided to take a chance, by filming Vader walking in the snow, with his troopers following close behind. As if nothing could stop them, and the rebels could try to fight back but were cut down.

You had called ILM and showed them the footage, and they told you it was going to be impossible to get the effects into the film, in the blizzard… But instead, you just told them that George was expecting an outside-the-box situation.

And than the battle itself, as Vader cut through Hoth… Well, you spend several days filming the battle that would give Kubrick a run for his money when it comes to battles.

Trenchworks, emplacements, walker… mines, and the snowy setting showed just how desperate it was going to be for the rebels, and the Defense force knowing they were trading their lives for time.

You managed to do all that, knowing that the battle might only last for ten minutes at most on screen.

But you were putting the War into Star Wars!

And George approved every shot, even saying you did better than him.

Reward: You have shot the most extensive battle that you have ever possibly done, but in a way that showed desperation, horror, and cunning in equal measure.

David had the idea that Vader would not have his lightsaber drawn, as if he was not afraid of anything before he charged at the lines to destroy them.

And to say nothing else of the battle at the walkers… You honestly thought Mark would get hurt from the flip.

Unknown Effect on All Rolls for The Production when completed.

The Film Quality has increased by a very significant margin.
-----------------------------------------------------------
-[X]Being in the Snow: Mark is complaining about the cold, mostly because of how light the snow is here, compared to other places he has been. He's a little scared that he will be not able to act so cold and afraid. You only smiled "I'll handle that." Rolled:D100 + 50 => 102

His teeth were chattering as you looked at him at the Walker set. "You know we can have that stunt double do it, you don't have to risk frostbite?"

Mark shook his head and he just looked up. "Oh, just do a few more takes and I'll get it." He was amused and a bit floored by your apparent unflinching appearance in the cold. "I mean, we just need to make it look more desperate?"

"It can wait till tomorrow." You replied. You looked to the sun, and you knew you had a few more minutes till it was not going to be good enough.

Mark just sighed. "You're doing all you can do, and I'm barely doing anything right!"

You smiled. "Mark, you're going to be stuck with me for the next three months… were going to have nothing but a set with a talking muppet. We're both going to be barely doing anything right."

Mark took a breath. "Just let me do it one more time?"

He nailed it.

Reward: Mark has an increased SP and Chemistry… +20.

However, he will have bonuses in his scenes alone with Yoda.
------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Carrie's Strength: Carrie hasn't acted in years, but she's a little afraid she won't be able to hit her scenes as well as she wants to. But you instead gave a smile and just gave a nod. Rolled:D100 + 80 => 160

Carrie was standing out in the cold, the light of Hokkaido was going to be strange because it was both warm in the sun, and cold through the darkness that covered it every few seconds, the sun trying to break through.

"Carrie, we can always wait till tomorrow?" you asked, feeling her unease.

Carrie looked back and fell into your arms, being dramatic. "What can we do tomorrow, when we have to get it done today?" She said as she tried to put on her brave face, but you knew something was troubling her.

"Carrie, I know that look." You said. "What's wrong?"

Carrie seemed to be afraid as she looked at you. "I'm just… afraid I'm not going to be good enough."

She was scared, but all you did was smile at her. "And yet, I'm still wanting to get them done… because I trust you without question."

You embraced her and didn't let her go. "I've got you."

Reward: Carrie is regaining her confidence. +20 to her rolls. In addition to that, Unknown effect for Carrie.
------------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Cold Plastic of the Droids: You want to make sure Anthony and Kenny are doing okay in the snow. Despite the fact, that a space heater is nearby to thaw out the parts. Rolled:D100 + 50 => 55

You didn't have as much time as you wanted…

But honestly, the fact the two were able to keep going and be happy despite the freezing cold…

It was good enough.

Reward: The Two men are safe, and well, they are okay.

At least they aren't going to get frostbite.
------------------------------------------------------

Production Roll:D100 - 80 => -50

All you can say is this: Nothing could stop you.

Nothing that went wrong… well everything did, but you instead saw opportunity. The Blizard? Not only did it make Mark feel more desperate to be found by you in the snow.

And the Vader moving through the blizzard… you wanted to kiss David for having a moment of brilliance… and hopefully he won't be too mad about not being able to have his face.

All you saw was an opportunity when others saw disaster.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Directing:D100 + 50 => 150

Eat your Heart out Stanley.

Kurasawa would look at you with how you managed to get some color to clash with the snow.

But above all else, George was impressed. "I better get a director's cut on this." You whispered with the footage that was there.

"Yeah." He was speechless.

Reward: You have just show the most complete film battle ever, in George's eyes.

Mike passed out, thinking about all the money he's about to make.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You have 4 Actions.

You have one more turn in Hokkaido.

[]Desprate Flight fighting: You looked at the film cameras and then got a very stupid, terrible idea. "I wanna strap a camera to your fighters while they are doing combat maneuvers." You had no idea how it would work, but goddammit you didn't care, maybe you could do something awesome.

[]Preparing the Swamp: It smells like shit. It's perfect. Now about the snakes?

[]The Puppet Master: Frank Oz looks at you with a smile. "So you're the one that Jim has been talking about? First things first, Does Mary still want to meet Kermit?"

[]The Vader Issue: Peter and David are… both not happy. David wants to know what the big secret is to improve his performance. And David is trying to get as many sword masters as possible to help him out with this.

[]The Secret: George, what the fuck is the big secret. I need to prepare.

[]Of Smoke, Mirrors, and Mark's face: Okay, a Vader helmet, a smoke screen, and a mask… Um… Mark, get over here, I have an idea?!

[]Billy's Opening Salvo: You have never worked with Billey Dee Williams before, but by got, he really wanted to make an impact. The perfect first impression.

[]Cloud City: You need to look at the Cloud City before you leave Japan.

AN: enjoy, and vote in plan format please.

Empire Part 3
Empire Part 3

-[X] Desprate Flight Fighting: You looked at the film cameras and then got a very stupid, terrible idea. "I wanna strap a camera to your fighters while they are doing combat maneuvers." You had no idea how it would work, but goddammit you didn't care, maybe you could do something awesome. Rolled:D100 + 50 => 101 (Autopass)

So you were really proud of George for his quick thinking. See the Digital cameras that were prepared were… to put things lightly, very very fragile. The wind speed alone would have caused them to break apart from the G forces.

Of course, there was an almost ingenious way to get around it. The people just… well some engineers just put the case in a small steel box, with only lens getting through the hole.

You really thought that was stupid, that the box would be stupid and crazy.

Well, the other way was throwing a camera operator into a cockpit and praying they would get the shot.

But since the JSDF wouldn't allow that… so the box would do.

All you knew was George was impressed, and said that they were fast.

Also, you owed Eagleman a flight in an F-16.

Reward: You have your battle shots and it would be perfect to add effects in them.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Cloud City: You need to look at the Cloud City before you leave Japan. Rolled:D100 + 50 => 134

Holy God… It was… Amazing.

Ralph was there, seeing the final touches being placed on it. "You know, I hated that kid… really did for what he wanted to do to my city." He than smiled as the graffiti was painted on it.

"But?" You asked.

Ralph gave a smile. "I'll admit it first. He's got some talent."

You saw Tomino slattering paint onto the wall like a child. "Really? I didn't know?" There was a smile on his face, as if you had allowed him to unleash his inner child, for the first time in a long time.

"Just don't fuck everything up." Ralph replied. "It needs to look good on camera."

Reward: Cloud City is ready.

Unknown Effect on Tomino's mental state. But it's a good thing.
---------------------------------------------------------------
-[X] Mifune's Home: Torshio is incredibly happy to see Star Wars is now in his homeland, and he seems to be redoubling his efforts, despite his scenes all going to be filmed in LA at the Lucas Lot… But here, he seemed to be far more… at peace. Rolled:D100 + 50 => 95

He sat down, enjoying tea as he watched the crew prepare for the final day's shoot. "So, this is how it ends. With a display of speed."

You frowned. "You don't seem too happy?" You asked.

"I am happy, I am very happy that my homeland is shown to have such a brilliant place."

You took a breath. "I still think we over did it on the armor?"

-[X] The Heavy Armor of ILM: You wanted to- OH MY GOODNESS! "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING!?" Rolled:D100 + 50 => 142

The Lifesized AT-ST that was being moved on the truck was something else entirely, and Mifune laughed. "We're going to have a long time explaining that to the Ministry of Culture."

You laughed. "Well at least the Idiots didn't try to make an AT-AT… but that AT-ST… they told me that it didn't work most of the time, and the Hydraulics needed to be replaced like every ten steps. But would make a wonderful set. For a future battle?"

"I wish that you showed the beauty and strength of my people well… and that of my friends."

Reward: Mifune will have an increase of +20 to SP and Chemistry.

The Boys and girls at ILM made a lifesize AT-ST for the film and shots, just so that they could. It wouldn't be much use as it doesn't work, was brittle and fragile as hell, as it was made of plastic, fiber glass, and prayers, but it did give you an idea.

You hope they didn't get any ideas.

-------------------

Production Roll:D100 - 80 => -31

You managed to get everything done. And that was something that you did not want to take for granted, and you pretty much did several things that were making you feel good.

So there were some strange things that were indeed happening… like how happy everyone was. Sure it was not like Batman or Conan where they did not like you because you were overstepping your boundaries. Yet in those moments, the crew was honestly glad to be part of something special.

And everyone realized that it was because of you. Without the stress of other things, or disasters that happened, you were honestly just a good person to be around, and to work with, and it was honestly something incredible.

George was jealous at how smooth it was and wished he could just have your luck.

But what really surprised you was Gary and George. They had come to slight blows over several, admittedly minor issues that were almost impossible to reconcile. You honestly thought George was going to not let him back onto the shoot, kick him out, and say what's done is done.

But you heard them both.

And stopped George from making a terrible mistake.

Gary, for all his wishes to make Star Wars Deeper and more lore and plot-driven, was missing the point of the elements that made Star Wars so great. Characters and the Morality tale at play. The simplicity of this tale, not it's world and complexity… though it could play it's part.

George needed to remember that Star Wars was more than a money-making merchandising empire that was paying the bills and keeping the lights on, it was a story that was his creation, the one story he always wanted to make.

And in the end, they both reconciled… though George still thought that the deeper lore was rather silly to think about if he was being honest.

Gary was really wanting to do something that Dave came up with. Some awesome admiral that he didn't have a name for.
----------------------------------------------------

Directing Roll:D100 + 50 => 146

You were going to make a better film than George.

You decided to get creative with how to shoot the battle. And it was perfect.
----------------------------------------------------------------

You have 4 Actions: (Time split between London and LA)

[]A Most Pressing Moment: You honestly think that Carrie is worried about the way you are filming the romance. She actually thinks you're being a little too obvious. And wants to make it far more subtle.

[]Making Mark Feel Better: Mark is alone at the Lot with those damn swamps and snakes. And frankly, he's terrible being so isolated. Time to cheer him up.

AN: Plan format please.

Also, this is going to have a slightly shorter vote, and will be called at noon tomorrow, because something special is coming next turn.
