    TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

    To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

    I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

    I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

    I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

    I wonder how people are going to take the fact that George has the capability of getting angrier than Bruce?

    Did you hear about Lucas' outburst? Apparently they had a meeting and it had something in it that got them so heated they could be heard two floors down.

    That's the thing! It wasn't O'Brian who was angry, it was Lucas. Bruce apparently had to stop him from killing a guy!

    Though, hopefully after this debacle, people will get the clue to at least not be too much of an ass. Aw, but who am I kidding; Hollywood executives will always be like that. At least we get to serve a cold platter to Murdoch.

    Say what you want about George, but he worked too damn hard, both OTL and TTL, to see his film get utterly destroyed by a rival, not after all the blood sweat and tears he put into making it.

    You're expecting people to act like rational human beings when they want to screw people over and make things worse for other people to make their careers better.

    Maybe not arrested... but dear god, he can assuredly lose reputation and other shit, and get kicked off the board of directors if he dosen't get entirely fucked by George and company.
     
    So, why exactly did Rupert Murdoch do this? No matter your opinions of the man, there is no evidence OTL that he ever comitted outright corporate espionage, and on this level. I was looking forward to Fox being the sort of big rival company for the 80s and antagonist of sorts as they take advantage of Reaganomics and look to make Hollywood fully corporate. As fun as it would be to get the Alien IP, this does feel like it has far less buildup and payoff than the Warner Bros crash and doesn't make much sense for Murdoch to do when Fox is just starting to get good and if he fails then his career and company is over.

    Also, for one of the actions, how do y'all feel about going to Monaco and taking up Grace Kelly's offer? We can make it a sort of fun summer vacation to unwind from Star Wars and maybe butterflies can push Grace to a better fate.

    What I am going to tell you is something that will... at least partially make you understand.

    Because I don't want to explain it all at all at one time.

    He is making a Gamble that would make Alan Blush because he is putting 100 million dollars of his personal money into a set of films he wants to dominate the box office.

    and placing them against Star Wars.

    And he's trying to rig the deck into his favor as much as he can before he does it. through every dirty trick and game he can so that he can come out on top.

    As for what those films are?

    You will have to find out yourself if you want to really know what is going on in Fox.

    How much Murdoch is involved in this... and just how Rotton things are.

    What was her offer again? I can't remember. But I'm probably down for it as long as we do all our new business action this turn and use our autopass to take advantage of the videogame crash.

    And I've already said this if we have room I'd like to get the distribution rights to flight of dragons. It comes out in August. It's no big deal if we don't, I just think it'd be some easy money gotten off of something I watched as a kid.

    it also allows us to have more actions of a more... romantic way with Carrie, seeing as we are in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

    For all the people brining up buying Games Workshop I'm not against the idea but quick question how many years of just fantasy was it before they made 40k, and then switched to that when it became the real money maker?

    I'm pretty sure Rogue Trader was the first 40k setting system but I could be wrong

    Warhammer Fantasy comes out in 83 the first 40k book(Rogue Trader) comes out in 87. And they never fully got rid of fantasy until they put out the End times books and created Age of Sigmar(2014-2015). And even then I hear they're bringing Fantasy back.

    Honestly I thought there was a bigger gap between Fantasy and 40k then just 4 years then ago from what I've heard gen 1 Rogue Trader was incredibly different from the 40k we think of

    I'm fine with doing Fantasy and even refining it and keeping it. Under our stewardship we will prevent The End Times and Age of Sigmar, while also making sure the crap they've been putting in 40K, or the fan abuse never takes place.

    Yeah they hadn't fully fleshed out the lore yet. It was also a bit sillier. For example Inquisitor Obiwan Sherlock Clousseau. A totally real character I swear I didn't just make up.

    How about Halflings that adapted to the area, would that work better?
