Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

once the internet is a thing

Hmm..I wonder how Gavin would be motivated to somehow create the basic consumer infrastructure of the internet..

Speaking of the internet, I wonder how fast an old Bruce, George, and Mark Hamil would get banned from a Gmod Star Wars Roleplay Server for "Fail Roleplay".

(Continued in: Another Jedi Meeting)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]The Practical effects of George Lucas: George has ideas, and he has ideas that seem… Crazy. But you'll see what he wants. DC: 40 Rolled:D100 => 95

You looked at some of the ideas that he made, and you saw the models. "Holy Moly… That's the great stuff."

"I call it the ISD Executor, and there is going to be a second one."

Reward: Added another option in the Jedi meeting.
----------------------------------------------------

-[X]Jim Henson and the Puppets of Greatness: One look at Jabba made you realize one thing. This was going to be awesome! DC: 30. Rolled:D100 => 82

You saw the giant slug and almost puke it was so disgusting, like seriously, this was the mastery at work, and you almost couldn't even comprehend the shock that audiences were going to see. Also, was that slime from the mouth?! That was so cool.

Reward: Final rolls will be increased at the end of production.
----------------------------------------

-[X]Finding Actors for the side characters: You need to flesh out those side characters. So time to bring in some great actors
--[X] Gilad Pelleaon:
Alec Guinness, Rolled:D100 => 5
George Peppard, Rolled:D100 => 99
William Daniels. Rolled:D100 => 63

You got your Gilad in the end. George Peppard was going to be that new captain, and you think the script will be wonderful.

Reward: George Peppard will be Pelleaon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

--[X] Garm Bel Iblis: Liam Neeson, Rolled:D100 => 36
Burt Reynolds, Rolled:D100 => 61
David Hasselhoff. Rolled:D100 => 47

What was surprising was the sheer number of people wanting to get a role in Star Wars. And the listers that came were numerous. But the top three were Liam Neeson, a fellow Irishman, David Hasselhoff, a Tv star of very very popular tv shows, and Burt Reynolds.

Reynolds got the nod because he said he would work for a minimum salary, and Mike said that was key.

Reward: Burt Reynolds is Garm Bel Iblis.
----------------------

-[X]The Directors Guild Strikes Back: So the Directors Guild, in an asinine piece of stupidity… has tried to bar Steve from working on the film? You want to know why? DC: 35 Rolled:D100 => 82

Turns out, the director's guild did, in fact, have… valid reasons, particularly in regards to salary and what Steve was going to make, along with protections for the crew.

See there was a problem from the last film Steve worked on that was international, which was Indiana Jones. Everyone but Steve, got Dysentery, and it led to a lot of people getting mad, and having uncomfortable questions.

Mostly about keeping everyone safe and not sick.

And you honestly agreed with that. So, you talked to them, showed the insurance, and practically worked to make sure nothing was… going to go wrong.

Reward: Turns out they want to make sure no one gets sick and to make sure everyone is safe. And you honestly quite okay with that.

The director's guild was placated.
-----------------------------------------------------

-[X]Mary's Weekend Project: Mary had a three-day weekend, and she wanted to spend it with ILM and the Magicians, saying "I want to do something fun with Uncle George and Wally!" DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 100

What she did:D6 => 6

Mary and Wally were riding something. THat was not surprising. It was the fact it was a robot that was under a remote control.

(Continued in: Mary's Weekend Project)
----------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Mike's Insanity: Mike came to you, practically ready to beg for forgiveness for going insanely over the 300 million dollars he promised to keep.
--[X] Tell him you're fine with the price tag since you have more than enough money in the reserves, just warn him to be more reasonable with the budgets next time. Rolled:D100 => 51

Mike and you just stood by and watched the cars move over from the office. "You know I'm still waiting for your answer." He said. "Are you about to fire me, because I would understand it. I went over budget in a way that will destroy anyone in my situation."

You just stood there, waiting. "Goddammit Bruce, say something."

"I don't care. It's fine." You said.

"What?" He demanded. "Why would you-"

"Simple Mike, you have not led me or George estray and you also have not gone too big over budget without a good plan… just try to warn us next time."

Reward: Mike has been reassured.
----------------------------------------
-[X]The King has Come: Elvis needs a favor, he wants you to direct a concert he is having, in exchange for… well something.
--[X] Request for a collaboration on a song, either a cover or original, with you or Carrie in the future if either of you desire, though Elvis has a right to agree on which song. Carrie's done amazing with collaborations and it could be fun. Rolled:D100 => 73

It was a fun one, and Elvis said it was great.

Reward: Elvis will collaborate with Carrie soon.
------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]I Love You/I know: Carrie wants to talk about having more kids. DC: 30 Rolled:D100 + 30 => 53

There was a moment when you both just looked at each other. "Okay Carrie, lets talk about this."

(Continued in: Family Matters.)
-------------------------------------

-[X]The Twin's Big Days: So Joseph and Sarah have become quite a handful, and Debbie is actually worried they might be very rambunctious. Especially since Joseph is swimming by himself. Without a life jacket, and swimming incredibly deep. Rolled:D100 => 39

You almost jumped out of your skin as you saw Joseph swimming, and very well you would say, as you looked as Debbie was wading over towards the swimming twin, while Sarah was floating and laughing at the scene.

(Continued in: Family Matters.)
-------------------------------------------
-[X]A Return to Sender: Debbie asked you to follow her in for a meeting with Sid again. Something about needing to politely refuse a contract or two. DC: 30 Rolled: D100 => 4

Debbie actually didn't do it today, something about another contract.

Failure?
----------

AN: Enjoy.

Huh, the Diretor's Guild actually had valid concerns this time around. Will wonders never cease?

Solid round of rolls this time around, save for a couple of ones, but luckily we can make do with them (though I do wonder just what it was that Debbie signed?), and we can help Steve wit the Production issues now that we have George on hand to create the script for the rest of the film.

Now, let's see how Mad Max 2 did this time around.

-[X]Mary's Weekend Project: Mary had a three-day weekend, and she wanted to spend it with ILM and the Magicians, saying "I want to do something fun with Uncle George and Wally!" DC: ??? Rolled:D100 => 100

What she did:D6 => 6

Mary and Wally were riding something. THat was not surprising. It was the fact it was a robot that was under a remote control.

A rover? She made a Rover? Sweet. Also if we can make them cheaply we could make a pretty cool toy.

No she just made a robot.

She didn't have the time or the dice rolls to do the crazy exoskeleton stuff yet.

Soon.
I don't mean like something from aliens lifter suit. Just a Rover that's design to look like R2 D2. I mean that would be a achievement and in short been sponsored by a movie company that help with space stuff, if Nasa want to use the design.

Well, it's been a while since the time I put in the first part of the trilogy, and now it's finally time to continue with the second installment of The Lord of the Rings. It's mostly some small changes on what the characters are to do in this movie, as well as the additions of Grima, Treebeard, Faramir and the three from Rohan (Théoden, Éomer and Éowyn).

The main issue we may have with Christopher Tolkien in this version is how Faramir is portrayed. Many complained apparently because Faramir seemed almost like a clone of Boromir, but I stand with Jackson's argument that Faramir seemed too plain in the books, without a character arc, and it was one that was necessary for the movie. Not to mention that, personally, I enjoyed how Faramir, in the end, managed to avoid making the mistake his brother did in the previous movie. I think it was an excellent choice that clearly showed how different they were.

Thus, I give you:

Movie Pitch:
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

GENRE: Fantasy/Adventure/Epic

SUBGENRE: Drama/Action/Supernatural

FORMAT: Movie (Part 2 of 3)

Set Up: Based on 1954's The Two Towers, the second volume of the novel The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. Continuing the plot of the previous film, it intercuts three storylines: Frodo and Sam continue their journey towards Mordor to destroy the One Ring, now aided by Gollum, the ring's untrustworthy former bearer. Merry and Pippin escape their orc captors, meet Treebeard the Ent, and help to plan an attack on Isengard, fortress of Saruman. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, in their pursuit, come to the war-torn nation of Rohan, and are reunited with the resurrected Gandalf before fighting against the legions of the treacherous wizard Saruman at the Battle of Helm's Deep.

Director: Peter Jackson
Composer: John Williams

Gandalf the White: An Istar (Wizard) who is as quick to anger, and equally quick to laugh. His deep wisdom and compassion clearly derived from the patience he learned in Valinor, just as his care for all creatures of good will must have come from his strong sense of compassion for the weak. Both his patience and sense of kindness were revealed again and again, extending even to the servants of his enemies. After his sacrifice and fight against the Balrog, Gandalf was returned to Middle-Earth by Eru, but allowed to reveal more of his Maiar strength. Now, as Gandalf the White, he aided in freeing King Théoden from Saruman's influence, as well as finding the Riders once more for the final battle.

Played By: Christopher Lee
Alternate: John Huston
2nd Alternate: Ian McKellen

Frodo Baggins: He is a hobbit of the Shire and nephew of Bilbo Baggins. He is also the Ring-bearer during the travels to Mount Doom to destroy the ring. Bilbo tends to be more adventurous and curious about the outside world, something not shared in the Shire, but he does have friends such as his gardener, Samwise Gamgee. Frodo inherits all of Bilbo's belongings after his disappearance, and then leaves taking the One Ring once Gandalf tells him of what it truly is. After leaving with only Sam as company to Mt. Doom, he finds Gollum on the way and forces him take him to take him there. On the way, he attempts to relate to Gollum, for a time managing to befriend him, though it won't last.

Played By: Ethan Hawke
Alternate: Matthew Broderick

Samwise "Sam" Gamgee: He is a hobbit of the Shire. He is Frodo Baggins' gardener and best friend. Sam proved himself to be Frodo's closest and most dependable companion, the most loyal of the Fellowship of the Ring, and plays a critical role in protecting Frodo and destroying the One Ring. Sam shows deference to Frodo due to their rank, but there exists a bond of trust and brotherly love between them that runs deep. Sam follows Frodo as he attempts to find Mt. Doom, and does not trust Gollum at all when Frodo finds him, treating him harshly and telling Frodo to not put his faith in him.

Played By: Kenneth Branagh
Alternate: Sean Astin

Peregrin "Pippin" Took: He is a hobbit of the Shire, and one of Frodo Baggins' youngest and closest friends. He is a worthy accomplice to Merry's plans, although he showed his age as well; he was a cheerful if not a sometimes-thoughtless Hobbit, and seemingly had a knack for doing the wrong thing at the wrong time, but throughout the adventure he becomes increasingly mature and courageous. After being captured by the Uruk-Hai, they are ambushed by the Rohirrim, with him and Merry escaping in the confusion. They escape to the Fangorn Forrest where they meet the Ents and befriend them, being there when they eventually attack Saruman's domain.

Played By: Sean Patrick Flannery
Alternate: Rik Mayall

Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck: He is a Hobbit of the Shire and one of Frodo Baggins cousins and closest friends. He loves boats and ponies, has a great interest in the maps of Middle-earth, and is also one of the nine companions of the Fellowship of the Ring. Merry is very close with Pippin, having almost the same relationship as Sam and Frodo do with each other. After being captured by the Uruk-Hai, they are ambushed by the Rohirrim, with him and Merry escaping in the confusion. They escape to the Fangorn Forrest where they meet the Ents and befriend them, being there when they eventually attack Saruman's domain.

Played By: Hugh Laurie
Alternate: John Cusack

Aragorn is a confidant of the wizard Gandalf, and as a young man fell in love with the immortal elf Arwen, though he left her in order to follow the quest to destroy the one ring (and for fear of her abandoning her immortality for him). During the trip to Rohan he finds Gandalf once more, and though aren't able to find Merry and Pippin yet, he still commands the Fellowship as they prepare the defenses in Helm's Deep against the forces of Saruman.

Played By: Sean Bean
Alternate: Daniel Day-Lewis

Legolas: He is a Sindar Elf who joined the Fellowship of the Ring. Legolas is a Mirkwood's prince, a messenger, and a master archer. With his keen eyesight, sensitive hearing, and excellent bowmanship, Legolas is valuable to the Fellowship in their journey across Middle-earth. He is well-known for becoming friends with the Dwarf Gimli, despite their long-held differences. He tries to counsel Aragorn against staying to fight when he sees the size of the army, but eventually relents in order to protect the innocents. He and Gimli make a game out of who can kill the most enemies, with him winning for the moment.

Played By: Cary Elwes
Alternate: Guy Pearce

Gimli: He is the son of Glóin, a Dwarf of the House of Durin and a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. Unlike other Dwarves, he's willing to fight alongside Elves against Sauron (though not without some protest at first). In his subsequent journey he becomes good friends with Legolas, though his impressions on elves began to change after meeting Galadriel and realizing that not all elves were that bad. Gimli remains steadfast in the fight against the forces of Saruman, and his friendship with Legolas is cemented during the time in which they fight together at Helm's Deep, even making a game out of who can kill the most enemies.

Played By: Brian Blessed
Alternate: John Rhys-Davies
Sauron: He is the greatest subversive Maia, maker of the One Ring, renowned disciple of Aulë, and chief agent of Morgoth in the Elder Days. After Morgoth's ousting by the Valar, Sauron became the second Dark Lord and sought to conquer most of Arda through guileful trickery, with the Rings of Power or with overwhelming armies. He is briefly shown as a large humanoid figure clad in spiky black armor, but appears only as the disembodied Eye throughout the rest of the storyline.

Voiced By: Alan Howard
Alternate: Tony Jay

Saruman the White: He is leader of the Istari, wizards sent to Middle-earth in human form by the godlike Valar to challenge Sauron, the main antagonist, but eventually he desires Sauron's power for himself and tries to take over Middle-earth by force from his base at Isengard by allying with Sauron. After failing to contain Gandalf and prevent his escape, he builds an army of Uruk-Hai, improved Orcs to chase after the Fellowship and get the One Ring. His domain is attacked by Ents and destroyed near the end of the film; his forces shattered at Helm's Deep.

Played By: Alan Rickman
Alternate: Richard Harris

The Witch-King of Angmar: He is the leader of the Nazgûl and Sauron's deadliest vassal. His precise identity is unknown, but he could be one of three noble lords of Númenor, who were corrupted by the Nine Rings of Power and thus became the undying Wraiths at the servitude of Sauron. The Witch-King nearly obtains the Ring from Frodo as the latter is being controlled by its powers, until Sam manages to break him out of it, having the Witch-King flee from them.

Played By: André Roussimoff
Alternate: Christopher Lambert

Gollum: Originally named Sméagol (or Trahald) The name Gollum was derived from the sound of his gurgling, choking cough. Gollum attempts and fails to steal the ring from Frodo, eventually becoming their captive and forced to show them the way to Mt. Doom. For a while, Frodo manages to free him from its influence, but he dives into obsession once more when he thinks he is betrayed.

When his treachery was exposed, Gríma fled to Isengard and ended up entrapped with Saruman. He is dark-haired, emaciated and eyebrowless, wearing black robes with dark fur, as well as being extremely pale and gaunt.

Played By: Michael Wincott
Alternate: Brad Dourif
Arwen: She is the Half-elven daughter of Elrond and Celebrían. A capable rider and fighter, she searched for Aragorn and single-handedly rescued Frodo Baggins from the Black Riders at Bruinen, thwarting them with a sudden flood, summoned by an incantation. She tried to remain at Aragorn's side, promising to choose a mortal life rather than live eternally with their kin. Aragorn however refused to have her make that sacrifice, leaving with the Fellowship and leaving her behind. Arwen follows her father's advice and prepares to leave for Valinor.

Played By: Catherine Zeta-Jones
Alternate: Robin Wright

Galadriel: She is the elven co-ruler of Lothlórien alongside her husband Celeborn. One of the greatest Elves in Middle-earth, she surpassed nearly all others in beauty, knowledge, and power. She speaks telepathically with Frodo and leads him to her mirror, in which he sees a vision of Sauron's victory. Galadriel speaks to Elrond telepathically, telling him how the One Ring is tempting Faramir, and urging him to send ai for Helm's Deep in Rohan.

Elrond: He is the Half-elf Lord of Rivendell. A mighty Elf-ruler of old who's dwelt in Middle-earth from the First Age. He also receives a message from Galadriel, which pushes him to send a contingent of archers to Helm's Deep to aid in the battle.

Played By: Jeremy Irons

Théoden: He is the son of Thengel and Morwen Steelsheen, the seventeenth King of Rohan, last of the Second Line of the royal House of Eorl. He is initially outright possessed by Saruman, and while under his spell, Théoden is unwilling to defend Rohan from attack, even having his heir, Éomer, banished by Wormtongue (on "orders" of the king). After being freed from Saruman's spell, and recovering his sanity and a healthy appearance, he banishes Gríma, mourns his son and decides that the best way to defend his people is to evacuate to Helm's Deep.

Played By: Bernard Hill
Alternate: Patrick McGoohan

Éomer: He was a Man of Rohan and the eventual eighteenth King of Rohan, and first of the Third Line of their Kings. He and his sister, Éowyn, were adopted by Théoden after the death of their parents. He became the new heir of Rohan after the death of Théodred, the son of Théoden. Éomer is exiled by Gríma Wormtongue before meeting Aragorn, and is an outcast until he arrives at Helm's Deep, summoned by Gandalf, in order to save the day fighting against the Uruk-Hai forces of Saruman.

Played By: Brad Pitt
Alternate: Val Kilmer

Éowyn: She is a shieldmaiden of Rohan, daughter of Éomund and Théodwyn, younger sister of Éomer and niece of King Théoden. It is only in Osgiliath, where he realizes the great evil of the Ring, that he lets Frodo, Sam and Gollum go.

Played By: Kevin Costner
Alternate: Lambert Wilson

Treebeard: He is also known as "Fangorn", and is the oldest of the Ents left in Middle-earth, an ancient tree-like being who was a "shepherd of trees". He had a very tall and stiff-limbed appearance, with bark-like skin and leafy hair. He takes Pippin and Merry to the Council of Trees, and afterwards to Isengard on their suggestion. When he sees what Saruman has done (killing much of the land and trees, many who had been his friends) he calls upon the Ents to lead them to war against Isengard and Saruman.

Played By: Bill Connolly
Alternate: Ian McKellen
Morwen: She is a Rohirrim woman during the War of the Ring. She is the mother of Éothain and Freda, and sends them away when the Wild Men attack to spread the news to King Théoden.

Éothain: He is a young boy of the Rohirrim during the War of the Ring. He and his sister are sent on a horse by their mother Morwen to alert Théoden that the Wild Men have begun attacking and burning the settlements of Rohan.

Freda: She is the daughter of Morwen and sister of Éothain, commonfolk in the Westfold of Rohan during the War of the Ring. During the escalation, Freda and her brother were sent to alert King Théoden that Wild-men had begun raiding Rohan.

Théodred: He is a prince of Rohan, the only son and heir of King Théoden, who perished in battle during the time Théoden was under Saruman's spell in the late Third Age.

Aldor: He is an elderly man of Rohan who was among those forced to defend the fortress from Saruman's army of Uruk-hai. Before the attack, Aldor prepared to loose an arrow. However, he was unable to steady his hand and accidentally released the arrow, killing an Uruk, which preempted the attacking army's assault.

Háma: He is a Man of Rohan, the doorward of Meduseld and captain of Théoden's guard. He is later killed by a Warg-rider scout during Saruman's attack on the retreating Rohirrim, and then devoured by the Warg while its rider fights Gamling and is killed by Legolas.

Haleth: He is a young boy of Rohan who was forced to fight in the Battle of Helm's Deep. Haleth the son of Háma, and has a grim conversation with Aragorn, telling Aragorn that the men believe that they will not survive the night. Aragorn reassures him, stating that there is always hope.

Gamling: He is a Man of Rohan, sometimes referred to as "Gamling the Old". Gamling is Háma's subordinate and close friend up until Háma's death. Afterwards he remains at the King's side as his bodyguard at Helm's Deep.

Uglúk: He is the leader of the Uruk-hai who were sent from Isengard to pursue the Fellowship of the Ring. Uglúk took command of the troop after Lurtz's death, proving himself disciplined by standing by the instructions given by Saruman from the "master".

Snaga: He is one of Saruman's scouts led by Uglúk from Isengard to pursue the Fellowship and capture the hobbits carrying the One Ring. He was killed by Uglúk after he tried to break discipline and eat the Hobbits.

Grishnákh: He is an Orc captain of Mordor who led a host of Orcs to join the Uruk-hai who were taking Merry and Pippin across Rohan to Isengard. He is less authoritative and disciplined than his Uruk-Hai counterpart.

Madril: Madril was both an adviser and a second-in-command to Faramir. He was with Faramir when Sam and Frodo were captured by his men. When Faramir decided to let them go, Madril reminded him that if he failed to deliver the Ring to Gondor he risked losing his life.
- Faramir speaks of taking the Ring from Frodo, for the defense of Gondor. However, he soon he realizes the evil of said Ring, and lets Frodo and Sam go.

- Faramir takes Frodo, Sam and Gollum to the besieged city of Osgiliath, but subsequently lets them go.

- An attack on the Rohirrim travelling to Helm's Deep by Orcs mounted on Wargs results in Aragorn's near death; he is revived by a vision of Arwen in a dream sequence.

- Galadriel persuades Elrond (via long-distance telepathy) to send Elven archers to Helm's Deep. They appear nonetheless to be Elves of Lórien, one of whom (Haldir) we met previously in the Golden Wood.

- Arwen has a vision of her future which is taken somewhat loosely from The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen in the books' Appendices.

- Elrond almost forcibly sends Arwen "to the West".

- Gandalf's final fight with the Balrog is shown.

- Like the previous film, Saruman's role is expanded into the main antagonist of this film. A notable difference is that Saruman is apparently loyal to Sauron.

- Théoden is literally possessed by Saruman, meaning Gandalf has to take far more drastic action. Gandalf forcibly exorcises Saruman from Théoden using a magical attack, an act which causes physical injury to Saruman.

- The Dead Marshes are shown as foggy ponds with jets of fire rather than the misty candle-flames described in the book. Frodo actually falls into a marsh, in which ghostly figures surround and reach for him before Gollum pulls him out.

Two important events from Tolkien's The Two Towers did not make it into the film, but were held over for the next one:

- Gandalf and Saruman's confrontation at Isengard.

- Sam and Frodo's encounter with the monstrous Shelob, although this is foreshadowed by Gollum's line ("We could let her do it").

A.N.: Alright then, one more to go. Not going to lie, it's going to feel almost like the end of an era the moment I finish with the trilogy. I'll have to find another long-term project which can be of use to us for the future, though I'm yet to decide where to look. Also, I see that Peter Jackson has been making movies since the 80s, and short films since the 70s, so I've decided to have him be the director for the series. Unless you have a different opinion or argument against it.

You looked at George and Steve who were both looking at the board of things George made, and you were… well you honestly didn't know, and the world was going to be something that was insane. Words that had meanings only in the mind of George Lucas and maybe Steve, and you.

There were over a hundred strings and storyboards that were around and that was almost overwhelming.

But you are honestly afraid of even communicating with your friend about it.

But Steve looked ready to collapse from the stress. You knew he had been here since this morning, but still, it looked like he was shell-shocked. "This is too much George. Too much. I can't do that?"

That made you curious. "George, have you broken Steve?" You asked.

A moment passed before George said. "We did it with Raiders?"

"This is not Raiders, this is something far more complicated than what we have ever done! And I feel like a guest towards something that you two have worked very hard on." He said.

"George worked hard on." You stated, giving your prompt reaction to your friend. "It's his brainchild."

"And that's why it's so… important, but I can't do everything, I have not infinite time or money, well… money yes, but time no. We want this out in a few years and we want it great, but trying to do everything might kill me George."

"Good thing we have Bruce here to help us out."

Oh no.
-------------------------------------------

You are going to have to Balance what George Wants, to Balanceing Steve's Stress Level.

See, Steve is feeling quite overwhelmed with the sheer magnitude of the task of ending one of the most important movie trilogy of all time.

You must balance those two things because if Steve's stress is too high, he might suffer… badly and either you or George might have to finish up the film when he is in the hospital.

You do not want Steve to suffer a hospital visit for Jedi.

--------------

Current George Wants: 2

Steve Stress: 2

Steve's Stress cannot be higher than 4 unless you want the possibility of Steve suffering greatly in the production.

George Wants must be higher then 4 otherwise there will be massive production penalties that will damage production and rolls during production.
------------------------------------------------------------

What George Wants:

[]The Palace Party: George wants to have an entire palace musical, to show the pure and utter decadence of Jabba's palace, and to be as utterly annoying as possible as possible. Steve really wants you to not film this. He's begging you. (+1 to George's wants. +2 to Steve's Stress)

[]Boba Fett Survives: George wants to make sure to leave Boba alive, to make sure he can be used for future stories and projects. This is actually Dave asking, but George seemed okay with the Idea. Steve does not want to juggle the survival of another nameless, faceless goon. (+1 to George Wants. +1 to Steve's Stress)

[]The Long Space Battle: George said he wanted to make this the greatest Battle Ever, and Steve is worried just how he can film it. (+2 to George Wants. +1 to Steve Stress)

[]The Reveal (Sister) George knows he has a problem, and wants to make sure that things change, so he wants to make Leia the other that was mentioned by Yoda. But Steve has doubts, and it could come off as contrived. But he said he can make it work, and George said it gives him some more freedom to do what he wants without having to invent another character at the very end. (+1 to George Wants +1 to Steve Stress)

[]And They Lived Happily Ever After: Steve wants to make an unambiguously good ending. And after everything in the film, George agrees. (+1 to George's Wants. -1 to Steves Stress)
------------------------------------------------------------

Do you have anything to add?:

Note: Anything you add is subject to a George Want, or Steve Stress. Which will be decided by me the QM.

You may notice that you will need at least one thing to help, because there is so much friction in the story room, that you are needed to just cement other ideas.

For several ideas on the write ins, can we try to make some to reduce Stress? Such as expanding on the survival of Boba Fett by tying it into the plot rather than just a throwaway point to add?

So is this the OTL palace scene or is George wanting bigger?

Couldn't we just have him eaten by the Sarlaac and have him escape in a tie in. Like in real life?

Hey @Magoose, for Boba Fett surviving, how much stress and want would there be if we do a Post-Credit Scene where we show him managing to crawl out of the Sarlacc Pitt, look aroujnd, and then just fly off on his jet pack. Would that be good enough to give us +1 to George without adding stress to Steve?

Personally, I think that "Happily Ever After", "The Reveal", and "The Long Space Battle" are the best options for the movie. As for what we want to add, if my suggestion for a Post-Credit Scene manages to make it without adding more stress then we should be able to make it work with four out of five options.

I just need confirmation as to whether it may be possible without adding more stress. And logically, it shouldn't. I mean, it's a Post-Credit Scene filmed after everything is done. It leaves Boba Fett unable to do anything during the rest of the film, and hints at more adventures for one of the most interesting characters (not to mention, this time around we are not screwing him like the fucking Book of Boba Fett did!).

Due to the amount of bigger stuff you choose in the last updates, I have to approve how you intend to make things less stressful for Steve.

Remember you all wanted to go bigger so the consequences of that are now on display here.

Steve would not do a post credit scene.

[X] Plan: Return of the Ideas
-[X]Boba Fett Survives: George wants to make sure to leave Boba alive, to make sure he can be used for future stories and projects. This is actually Dave asking, but George seemed okay with the Idea. Steve does not want to juggle the survival of another nameless, faceless goon. (+1 to George Wants. +1 to Steve's Stress)
-[X]The Long Space Battle: George said he wanted to make this the greatest Battle Ever, and Steve is worried just how he can film it. (+2 to George Wants. +1 to Steve Stress)
-[X]The Reveal (Sister) George knows he has a problem, and wants to make sure that things change, so he wants to make Leia the other that was mentioned by Yoda. But Steve has doubts, and it could come off as contrived. But he said he can make it work, and George said it gives him some more freedom to do what he wants without having to invent another character at the very end. (+1 to George Wants +1 to Steve Stress)
-[X]And They Lived Happily Ever After: Steve wants to make an unambiguously good ending. And after everything in the film, George agrees. (+1 to George's Wants. -1 to Steves Stress)
-[X]Write in: I can Film that fight. You are an experienced action director that has worked with both Steve and George before. Offer to take over some of the action scenes and reduce the pressure on Steve. Find out what Steve wants and film the scenes so he doesn't have to.

Alright, since both are at two, this plans helps us get nearly everything we want; Boba fett surviving makes it so that Bothh George and Steven are at 3. The Long Space Battle puts George at 5 and Steven at 4. The Reveal (Sister) puts George at 6 and Steven at 5, which looks like it's going overboard and make it even more doangerous for the film.

But, if we then take "And They Lived Happily Ever After" then we have George at 7 and Steve goes down to 4.

Just as we want him to be for the movie.

@Magoose how will a fumbled ROTJ effect Steve? What's the worse we can expect of Spielberg Mental health if the Movie fails.
All I will say is that Steve might quit making films for awhile...

And that would be a bad thing.

As for what might happen to steve...

if the stress gets too bad, we might be very detrimental to his health.

Not kill him but very much make him have a very bad time and spend lots of time in a hospital for mental and physical ailments.
