TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands.
To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.
I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.
I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.
I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all.
@overmind dont forget he also did war crimes on the war that broke America like the Bioweapons and the disastrous dealing on how the American soldiers treated the natives
I mean Bruce wasn't the one who created his own assassination attempt, if anything he should be pissed at China for trying to kill a US citezen in broad daylight and further destroy his legacy. But Kissenger was a sociopath so he may lash at Bruce because he can't do it to China.
I am unsure if we can write a speech yet, so I am putting mine in spoilers.
Hello everyone, I would like to start off by saying that it's an honor to be here. It's an honor to be in front of this nation and speak the Bruce rather than Han. America, now more than ever, sits at the helm to decide the future of our world. We must move forward as compassionate leaders and understanding mentors to those who will follow us, not only in the next few years but in the decades to come where the policies decided on today will shape their entire lifetime. Is our duty As Americans be a beacon of Hope to the downtrodden and a sanctuary for those seeking a better life. I can truly say from experience that I have had the fortune to live the American dream. Part of that is from my own work, but a significant portion of it comes from the fact that I had the ability and access to follow my own dreams thanks to this nation.
I heard many things in my preparations for speaking here, much of it negative and clinging to the Past. We cannot allow tradition and Convention to Shackle us to preconceptions and stigma. We must allow tradition to act as a foundation for us to grow together rather than apart.

Well, remmeber what I mentioned before. Kissinger was pretty much charmed by Zhou Enlai when they met, to the point that every action he made to better relations with China could also be interpreted by him trying to better the relationship with his new best friend.
Otherwise its going to get wierd with Vietnam vets on both sides are going to have some really awkward moments looking at eachother and finding out thati their governments are friends now.
Well for better or worse the Cambodian Genocide ended more than a year ago thanks to Vietnam's intervention. If the US does recognize Vietnam, then that'll allow the Vietnamese to cut off Pol Pot and isolate him until they capture or kill him, thus ending the war more than a decade early and saving more than a hundred thousand lives.
I don't think that either Carter or Reagan would send troops to Cambodia as that would be very unpopular. Though yeah, it's a hella awkward time for the Vietnam vets when supposedly Communist Vietnam is America's new friend in the Cold War, and it's all because China tried to kill Bruce.
Though if it did ever happen it would make for a funny real life version of this meme:
I'm all for getting Ron Howard as permanent Director for Lucasfilms, though I'm not sure which movie to give him to work at the moment. Either way, we have too many movies in Production that need a release date, so I think we're good for the moment.
Well we can have Ron direct his second directoral film OTL Night Shift which was a Warner Bros movie produced by the Alan Ladd Company so something we can totally make. As for a different film, maybe one of the Zemeckis scripts or Stormchasers.
Unfortunately the movie ends right before Bruce goes to Hollywood so I don't see how it can be naturally included. Maybe a scene with Carrie or Debbie though? Or perhaps there's an easter egg where Rick mentions his days on Bounty Law and how he misses that O'Brian guy who was always great to work with on set.
Perhaps, instead of having the main character move to Hong Koing, we have him move to America. At the same time, we can still have him be half and half. I think it can work with those changes.
"Well that there is Henry Kissinger." He said as he pointed. "Heard of him?"
"Dad hates him." You replied. "But that's about all I know about him. Did something about Vietnam?"
"Yeah, that's about it. But he also really really hates you. Says you are a wrecking ball to global affairs, with no care for what you do. Means you are really high on his shit list."
LMFAO! I never realized that but it makes complete sense that Bruce is Kissenger's worst nightmare since Bruce will just do something to completely destroy the current geopolitical order like throwing the chess board out a fucking window with no regard to Realpolitik, and best of all is that Bruce's method works. Looks like his death made for some good storytelling here and I'm happy to take a complete dump on Kissinger's legacy and prevent him from his totally undeserved reputation of the professor of foreign policy that every President looked to in times of crisis.
Although Bruce should know about him, he was Secretary of State for Nixon and Ford.
Wait, wasn't Kissinger also the man who basically did that whole secret negotiation with China to get Nixon in the country? From what I recall in my studies, he pretty much dictated the entire foreign policy towards China, and made it so that the U.S. began the process of becoming friends to that country.
...Yeah, he must be pissed at us considering that we must have torpedoed his plans out of the water.
Then again, he was the moron who let himself be influenced by Zhou Enlai, and his actions were basically hi trying to be his friend.
Yeah, the dumbass also pushed for Nixon to expand the Vietnam War to Cambodia, supported Pakistan during the Bangladesh Liberation War when Pakistan was committing genocide on Bangladesh, supported the coup against Allende, supported Fascist Portugal and authoritarian regimes in Africa, and let Greece get taken over by a Junta and Turkey occupy Northern Cyprus, he's a total dumbass whose responsible for a good chunk of America's foreign policy woes today.
I'm brainstorming right now but I wouldn't mind other people giving ideas of what Bruce should say or writing their own snippets. I have a basis of Bruce in ideology as fiscal centrist, social moderate with a right-wing foreign policy but overall stress human decency and responsibility.
What do you say to the Republican Party… and the American People? This will be part of the Republican Gospal for at least the rest of the century.
[]Write in.
Well, I hope Scarface now can have a reference to our attemp to help refugees and have Bruce be some sort of figure Tony wants to aspire to be in the terms of making a name for himself in the world, but basically being the complete opposite of Bruce.

Only thing I can think of is to throw in something about Project Lighthouse, and how someone in government is stymieing our effort to help with the Cuban Refugee Crisis. Could be a good rallying point for a more humanitarian foreign and domestic policy, and/or an attempt to de-politicize upper levels of non-elected bureaucracy (this will never be complete, but is always something good to push towards).

We're not running for president, like I don't even know what we should say but education seems like a bridge too far. Let's just stick to dunking on Carter and goverment over reach with a dash of social moderation to fight against Pat Robertson. With maybe some foreign policy to say screw China and Communism.

What i mean is to discourage the party from politicising Education and making it neutral so we dont get people like Desantis doing "Dont say gay" laws or literal book burning in America.
Um guys you have to remember castro was actually a Very good leader in Cuba that when he died he literally was the only one that could actually keep it stable and he really was liked in Cuba

Given that Kissinger just died, this is utterly hilarious. Time to ruin detente and all that better relations nonsense with brutal dictatorships. We don't have to go full war mode, but we certainly aren't going to try to be buddy-buddies with the USSR and China.
Then there was the California club, and the Faithful Coalition... the unintended consequences of your actions on Hillsgate. "So... are the boys and girls happy about all this... noise?"
