TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands.
To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.
I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.
I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.
I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all.
Its Grains in general plus oil plus meat (goat usually with the arab world) not to sure on meat we also exported ak to the muslim world mainly northen Africa like Egypt
For inspiration for this, look up the Battle of Grozny (1994-1995). Happened during the Chechen war. The initial Russian assault was a complete disaster.
Basically Russia tried to do massed armored warfare blitz to take the important buildings of the city and intimidate the Chechens with a tidal wave of steel. But the Chechens were prepared and prepped the whole city with traps and ambushes. Tanks would get bogged down as disabled or destroyed vehicles clogged the streets. So they would try to navigate through the alleys only to blunder into more ambushes and traps. Whole units would get surrounded by Chechan militias and picked off. This wasn't helped by bad weather keeping Russian air units from helping. Eventually the survivors had to retreat for their lives.
It's estimated 5000 Russians died with 200 vehicles being destroyed. Though different tactics would eventually see the Russians take the city it was a humiliation that lowered morale for some time.
What if it made an unknown effect on Bruce and John relationship as well as give John the possibility to use that realization that he had in this conversation to increase the quality of Red Dawn???

And because the russian's are sore losers they resorted levelling the city to the ground with massed air an artillery strikes . Kinda surprised we didn't see that yet in Romania considering their modus operandi when they fail to take a big city. ... Maybe the dice gods protect Romania. Though considering the damage their biological weapons did ...
Romania will be a shell of what it was regardless of it. And that's on top of all the wealth that had been extracted from Romania and shipped off into Russia itself.
Anyone want to bet that Romania will be the sign that the Soviet Union is falling apart because I definitely do and I believe most would blame the Goose for it because of his humanitarian help and also the Olympics where he one shot their best boxer

@bajoe9 In your opinion what would be a good city for Romania to have its Grozny? Also any prominent military or political leaders for the revolutionaries I should know about?
It's also frankly just rude. Magoose went out of his way to offer us this roll when he absolutely did not need to and to dismiss the results to try and get him to redo it until it suceeds is incredibly unreasonable.
Plus it's not even guaranteed to have a better result. Remember that Magoose was EXTREMELY generous in providing multiple rolls and refills for Bruce Lee to avoid his death only the dude never got past a nat 10. Just be grateful for Magoose indulging our whims and providing us near daily content. Besides, some dude cosplaying as Batman during the Romanian War is not a hill worth fighting for.
@bajoe9 In your opinion what would be a good city for Romania to have its Grozny? Also any prominent military or political leaders for the revolutionaries I should know about?
If I may give my thougts, I think Cluj would be a likely city to be Grozny'd. Because most anti-comunist partisan where active in the Carpathian Mountains and Cluj is surrounded by these mountains, also it's the second largest city outside of Bucharest. Another possibility is Timișoarain Banat because the last anti-communist rebels where destroyed in Banat in 1962 and OTL it was the first city free of communism in 1989.
As for prominent military or political leaders for the revolutionaries , most anti-communist partisan where destroyed by the 60's so most likely it's that most leaders are local moderat communist and/or disgrunteld/ opportunistic generals and soldiers. You can maybe include Ion Gavrilă Ogoranu but he was a member of the Iron Guard . A better figure is Elisabeta Rizea an anti-communist activist who was tortured by the state
and after the revolution became a symbol of resistance.
You know, I like that they're making more movies of both Superman and Batman, but I also feel that Wonder Woman deserves at least a duology, main issue is that the one that exists nowadays has a movie that could have used a better ending, and another that perhaps should have never been done. I don't know what possessed anyone to greenlit Wonder Woman 1984, but we live in such a world and we have to do the best we can with it.
At least it has a good title though.
Anyways, I've seen some rewrites of the movie which I've liked, other that I haven't, and others that had good points, as well as those that defended the film...I will not talk about the latter ones. There are even some that just throw the entire movie to the side and write an entirely new script with a different premise, which while not a bad idea, I feel that the first movie leaves things to be resolved later on, that OTL sequel tries to answer...and fails miserably at it. Still, we can take the framework, some of the characters, and perhaps make it work a bit better this time around.
First rule though; No Steve Trevor. He's dead, let's move along, and if we want to bring him back, then we at least wait for another movie in the future (though I doubt we'll see one). Second rule, the Dreamstone needs to be shown to have some consistency, instead of making rules than backtracking when it becomes cumbersome to the story. And nothing about maxwell becoming the stone or the one that can make wishes without it either. That part just made me rage so hard because now it all just simply add to-!
Sorry, sorry. Went down a deep path for a moment. For all that I'm a Marvel fan, even I could not feel good at this disaster for Wonder Woman, it's just not something I would wish on anyone or anything. Much less a member of the DC Trinity.
As such, I give you:
Movie Pitch: Wonder Woman 1984
GENRE: Action/Adventure/Drama
SUBGENRE: Fantasy/Science Fiction
FORMAT: Movie
Set Up: Based on the DC character of the same name created by William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter. The story tells of the Amazon princess Diana, years after the end of World War I, now working as an archeology consultant by day, and as Wonder Woman by "night" (or when the situation calls for it). After so many years, she's grown disillusioned and begins to think that "Man's World" can't be saved, which is when Business Tycoon Maxwell Lord comes to her with an offer, along with Dr. Barbara Minerva (a fellow archeologist) to look for an ancient artifact, The Dreamstone.
Director: James Cameron Composer: Hans Zimmer
The story begins with a commercial showing maxwell Lord promoting his company and the services they can provide, giving a look into the current world of the 80s. After which we follow Diana on her typical day in D.C., and we get to see the world through her eyes, but what she tends to see are mostly the negatives of society during this period; poverty, crime, etc. Her interactions with both men and women, friends and enemies, as well as her acting as Wonder Woman to try and help during a robbery at a mall, but only getting criticism for the damages done while she was saving people.
Diana can't see the good of the world despite it being there because of her more cynical worldview after so many years living in "Man's World", her missing her home in Themyscira, and the death of her friends who were the only ones to whom she revealed her secret identity. Diana is a bit too jaded at the moment to see the good that she's able to do, and that for all that things are bad, there is still hope in the world.
Some days after she meets Maxwell Lord, who came without an appointment to her agency, and wants to hire her due to the reputation her archeological consulting agency has in order to follow an expedition he's funding to look for the Dreamstone. After a moment of indecision, Diana allows Maxwell to make his case, which he does with panache and a presentation, expositing about the legend and history of the artifact, as well as where he thinks its current location is (Central America in Belize), as well as how he's hoping to get it before his rival (and former business partner), Simon Stagg, can get to it first. Diana at first wants to refuse, but Maxwell asks her to think about it, even giving her a ticket if she changes her mind.
Diana is later met by Dr. Barbara Minerva, a leading archeologist in her field, who's also been hired my Maxwell and tries to convince her to go along. Barbara mentions that Maxwell is mostly harmless (as in, the best of the worst when it comes to businessmen) and probably wants to just have the Dreamstone to have something valuable to show his competitors (or to keep it from his former business partner) but that she's in to get the recognition of finding the artifact. After the meeting Diana once more thinks on what she should do, looking at the mounting bills, before deciding to take the offer.
Diana travels with both Barbara and Maxwell, along with their teams, into the ruins found in Belize, where they find another team already digging and looking for the Dreamstone. When they approach they find Maxwell's former business partner, Simon Stagg, had moved faster than expected, along with his own man, Rex Mason, who is more of an adventurer than an established archeologist.
After some words between them, both sides begin looking for the Dreamstone in different areas, both trying to be the first. Barbara and Diana become friends during the expedition, proving themselves to be quite learned and experienced in their field, managing to interpret the clues, sidestep the traps and find the right place where they must go. Rex, while experienced in his own way, has less knowledge, but his greater experience shows when he's not that far behind them. During one of the more dangerous moments, Simon uses some explosives to try and get ahead, which causes a column to nearly fall on top of Barbara, which Diana quickly moves to stop, revealing her powers to her. Though Barbara is curious, Diana pushes to discuss this later.
Eventually, Maxwell's team finds the Dreamstone, Simon is furious but Rex is pretty chill about it, even congratulating both Barbara and Diana before they leave. Back in D.C. Maxwell thanks them, deposits the money in their accounts, and even offers them both to try and make a wish in the Dreamstone if they want (which they both do, though Diana needs a bit more cajoling to do so). Afterwards both Diana and Barbara are out for drinks, where Barbara presses Diana for answers on how she was able to lift the stone. When Diana tries to divert the talk, Barbara claims she knows what she is, making her nervous, before Barbara says Diana is an alien...which Diana just rolls with, trying not to lie and just give non-answers when Barbara asks if she's like Superman, or where her planet is.
After the meeting, Diana goes back to her apartment and sees something on the table that wasn't there before; a compact mirror. She examines it, looks into the mirror...and it starts glowing. Diana is startled, dropping it, but it still glows. She grabs it again, and sees it showing something; it's Themyscira, her home. Her sister amazons, even her mother Hippolyta. Diana cries as she sees her home and family, missing them so much. (Soon it is seen that this had been her wish; to be able to see her home. Barbara's had been to be as strong as Diana).
Meanwhile, Max is making powerplays; meeting businessmen, celebrities, senators, etc. in a montage as he gives them a spiel, always ending with "What do you wish for?" as he holds their hands with the Dreamstone (not that anyone notices or cares). Everyone he speaks asks for the same; money, women, power, an election won, a rival defeated. All which Max grants before leaving with a smile on his face. Barbara soon is also granted her wish; superpowers, and she goes to a gym to train, showing how much stronger she is. She even helps a woman who's being attacked by beating up her aggressor. As she leaves, the woman she rescued sees that Barbara is wearing some Cheetah print clothes, and soon news speak about this "Cheetah" savior.
Max's business is booming, calls are coming in from everyone who's ever asked for a favor, not that Max seems to be in a hurry to answer, though he does ask one of his interns if the senator he spoke before has called, which he says he's on the line. Max speaks to the senator, telling him he can make the wish last longer, but it will cost him; a meeting with the president. When he hangs up, a smug smile on his face, the intern asks what Max wished for, and is shocked when Max answers that he did not wish for anything; he knows the dangers of having power, how it puts a target on his back. No, it's much better when the people who have power owe him a favor.
Diana once more goes back to their double life, working at her agency and fighting crime as Wonder Woman, facing all different kind of villains and evildoers, while at the same time the news seem to be given much more attention to the new vigilante "The Cheetah". Barbara has also gone on to fight against criminals, and she tends to be more brutal with them, enjoying the power she has over them, slowly being corrupted by it as her actions turn more and more violent. During a fight with a particularly tough villain, Diana and Barbara end up meeting, with Diana recognizing her. During the fight, Barbara starts feeling herself getting weaker, her powers slowly disappearing, but she hides it before fleeing as they defeat the villain.
Unbeknownst to them, Maxwell has been keeping tabs on Barbara, never knowing when he might need a favor from her, and manages to see the footage of both Wonder Woman and Barbara fighting, putting two and two together, finding out what is going on. Soon, he asks to meet with Brabara, letting her know that he knows about her being "The Cheetah", but also promising not to tell anyone, gaining her trust. She asks about her powers disappearing, and Max tells her that, as far as he's found out, the potency of the wish is not permanent, but it can be extended depending on the favor granted to the one who own the Dreamstone. He offers her to once more increase the length of her powers in exchange for her arranging a meeting with Diana. Barbara hesitates, but then agrees, the lure of her powers being too much.
Diana once more is depressed, looking at her mirror and the images of Themyscira, still doubting as to whether she should remain, but even if she was to left, how would she get home? It is in this time that Barbara contacts her, and lets her know about max wanting to meet her. Diana is confused about what would Max want, but Barbara's insistence has her agree to meeting him. They both try to talk about "The Cheetah", and though Barbara clearly is pleased about her powers, there seems to be a bit of resentment towards how her powers seem to have a time limit, while Diana's doesn't.
Diana and Max meet, with Max leading the conversation and having Diana revealing about her wish, asking if it's but still giving vague answers. Max even assumes she's an alien at one point before she corrects him that she is from Earth. Max then offers her a way to get to her home through his contacts; he can get a state-of-the-art stealth plane that can take her anywhere on Earth, but only until tomorrow, since after that it will be put in storage. Also, it will be a one-way trip as the plane will be returning on its own. Diana thanks him, but also tells him she will have to consider it. As they say goodbye, Max moves to his appointment at the White House, where he talks with the President, once more using his own charisma and force of personality to have the President make a wish; for Peace in the current political quagmire between two nations that could escalate into an international disaster.
Diana is back at her apartment, seeing once more the pictures and memories of all the time she's been in "Man's World", considering, thinking that perhaps she should return home, how she had not been able to achieve as much as Steve had once hoped she would, that she may have been a failure. When she turns on the TV and sees more news on "The Cheetah" and how many see her as their new protector, Diana's resolve to leave is strengthened, as the people here will have someone else to protect them. She calls Max and agrees to his deal, she then makes the calls necessary to have her workplace closed, and giving her employees severance, taking care of all the small minutia before leaving for the scheduled place, where she once more says goodbye to max, and asks him to say goodbye to Barbara for him, to which he agrees. Thus Diana leaves for Themyscira once more.
During the trip we see the plane move through different vistas until it passes through what it seems to be an "Invisible Barrier" that once crossed leaves Themyscira unveiled in all its splendor. The plane lands softly on the beach, Diana comes out of it, smiling as she sees her home once more, the plane then once more closes and leaves the same way it arrived. Diana then moves deeper inland, trying to meet with any of her amazon friends once more.
Diana meets up with a patrol, led by one of her old tutors, who recognizes her and is shocked, but also happy to see her. Soon, everyone knows that Diana is back and are greeting her with smiles on their faces, greeting on their lips, her return being greeted with joy by any and all. Diana's old tutor tells her of what's going on in Themyscira since she left, how tales of her actions inspired many of the amazons to take to their training, about a new young amazon that's been making waves called Donna, who's been as good as Diana was at her age, to the point that everyone calls her "Wonder Girl".
Diana is taken to the palace where she and Hippolyta meet once more. The reunion is emotional for both sides, as Diana tells of her time in "Man's World", what she did, what she thinks she failed to do. Hippolyta consoles her, but also tells her that what Diana did was something that even she has to concede was the right thing, that what Diana did was necessary, and she did help people. Then Hippolyta turns more somber, as she warns her that because of the laws, and what she told her before, Diana cannot stay in Themyscira. The laws of the land are clear. Diana is devastated, but Hippolyta remains firm; Diana is her daughter, and she will always love her. but Hippolyta is the Queen, and she must keep up the laws of the Amazons. She will arrange a place for her to stay while they find a way for her to leave.
Back with Max, he receives the news from his technicians who have received the recording from the plane before it all turned dark as they moved near Themyscira. They have the coordinates, and they show what they could find of the land; Greek construction, a civilization that could be considered magical, etc. Max recognizes a threat when he sees one, and this could threaten his eventual monopoly on wish granting, not to mention that while he had control over those who owed him, he knew that neither Diana nor these new players could be controlled or coerced.
Max has a plan though.
Soon enough, the peace negotiations that the President had wished for fall apart, and the President calls on Max again so that he can make them work again. Max once more is all smiles, willing to, but also influencing the President with doing him a favor big enough to keep the wish going longer. After rejecting offers of money and power, Max mentions how all he needs is some help; there's an island that's off the books, no one knows it exists, and he wants it destroyed, with no one being the wiser. No one will even know save for him either. When the President realizes that Max wants a nuke he says that he can't just give him one...but then he tells him of an off the books facility that no one knows about that just has one. It is very isolated so no one should be able to track it, and once he does his business with it then that's it. Max will have to deal with the garrison there though. Max says not to worry, he has just the woman for the occasion. Grants the wish once more and leaves.
Meanwhile, Barbara is once more doing her vigilante outings, each victory just feeding more into her nascent arrogance and entitlement as she plays with her enemies before defeating them. In one such chase, she's about to give the final blow when she feels all her powers disappearing, going back to normal. The pursued just runs off, thinking that this is just a bluff, and escapes, Barbara just looking at herself in distress, not willing to accept this is happening, before rushing off, feeling more fragile and fearful now that she's without her powers, like an addict without her fix. She quickly calls on Max, who agrees to meet her as soon as possible.
Back with Diana, she's been put in the care of Althea, the Blacksmith and devotee of Hephaestus. She's perhaps in the darkest point of her life; she has nowhere to go, can't stay in Themyscira, and has no idea what she even wants to do. During this period a new visitor arrives to speak with her, a young woman who quickly introduces herself as Donna, the ne everyone had been talking about, and it's clear that she hold Diana in high regard. They get to talking, Donna asking more about "Man's World" and her adventures and impressions.
As Diana indulges her and tells her of the world outside, she little by little warms up and remembers all the small things that made it so captivating. How it was not perfect, but it still good despite it, or perhaps because it was not perfect. She begins to remember those who she saved instead of those she couldn't, she speaks of Steve and her friends. Donna listening and both soon laughing as Diana once more feels she understands where her true place is.
The mirror she got from her wish starts shining then, showing both her and Donna an image that she had not expected...
It's Max speaking to a clearly frightened Barbara, telling Max about losing her powers and how can she get them back. Max mentions that there is something he can do; the greater the favor done for him the greater the time that the wish can last after all. And he just so happens to need a favor that could make sure that her powers remain with her permanently. Barbara seems all for it, so Max tells her; there is an island that he needs to go to, and there is a garrison there that he needs taken care of while he uses the installations in said island. With her powers returned, and perhaps increased, she can take care of them while he does his business there.
Barbara seems to hesitate for a moment before quickly agreeing. Diana and Donna watch all this happen, but also sees what's in Max's room as they speak; images in screens showing Themyscira, as well as books about the Amazons that clearly show what Max's plans are. Diana has to leave now, and speaks to Althea about it. Althea shows what she has been working on, something that will allow her to travel from place to place, without ever being seen by anyone, and as fast as Zeus' own lighting itself. Donna follows them as Althea shows a plane, made from the old weaponry from the German's last attack as well as Steve's old plane, creating a futuristic looking jet that is clearly magical in nature. Diana is all set to go, but before she does she sees her mother, who'd known what would happen and came to give her daughter a final goodbye. They hug, Diana boards the plane, and goes directly to the island.
No one notices as Donna sneaks inside.
In the unknown island, the army men are patrolling when suddenly they are all attacked, faster than anyone can see, and faster than anyone can attack, only when the last member of the garrison is defeated the figure stops...
She calls Max and tells him it's done. Max then arrives in a boat, enters the facility, and asks Cheetah to wait outside and stop anyone who tries to enter. Cheetah agrees and Max gets to business, activating the site, and prepping the Nuke. Meanwhile, Diana is flying the plane as fast as she can when Donna makes her appearance, both argue for a bit until they arrive at the Island, Diana, not having more time, tells her to wait in the plane while she deals with Max. Diana jumps and lands on the island, running to the facility when she's suddenly attacked by Cheetah. Both recognize the other, and Diana tries to plead with Barbara to stand aside, but Barbara will not, even when told that Max will destroy her home.
Max is making the final touches as Diana and Cheetah fight, Diana being stronger, but Cheetah being faster. As the battle progresses, Diana has to use her lasso to eventually catch Cheetah and tie her up as she confronts Max. When she sees him Max shows no fear, still the same men who could speak anyone into anything. Diana does not understand why is he doing this, but Max just says it's nothing personal. He's a businessman, when he sees a threat he eliminates it. And right now, the one who threatens his newfound business with the Dreamstone the most is her. Diana is set to stop him, but Cheetah frees herself and once more throws her out as they fight once more. Diana is desperate, but Cheetah is now looking for any and all chances Diana has to try and bypass her. The Facility is ready, the Nuke is prepped...and launched, all see the Nuke fly, moving inexorably towards its destination
Which is when the plane Diana came with, now piloted by Donna, moves towards the Nuke, trying to divert it, but when it's not able to, it instead crashes into it, destroying both the plane and the Nuke. Diana is disconsolate, believing Donna to have died as well. Cheetah does not seem to care, moving to finish Diana when she kicked to the side, revealing Donna being just fine. She'd set the plane to lock on the Nuke before jumping off. Donna and Diana then fight together against Cheetah, who while able to out speed Diana, is not able to do so against both of them. Soon she's knocked out and captured, same with Max.
Maxwell is sent to prison. Diana once more opens her Agency and keeps the Dreamstone in a safe place where no one can find it. Donna remains with Diana, as they don't have a way to bring her to Themyscira once more.
Wonder Woman is once more back in action, and Donna seems to be eager to follow in her footsteps.
Possible Post-Credit Scene: Diana and Donna are speaking in her agency when her secretary comes in with someone asking for an appointment. The man entering introduces himself as Bruce Wayne, and asks for a moment of her time.
Diana Prince/Wonder Woman: She is an Amazon warrior princess and one of the world's first superheroes, known as Wonder Woman. She is the daughter of Queen Hippolyta and Zeus, the king of the Old Gods. Diana is a very kind, loving, compassionate, and strong-willed person, who, while initially somewhat naïve, has become all the wiser through her time in Man's World. The years since her arrival had made her more jaded and cynic, though her inner compassion still shines through. Her homesickness and lack of purpose has her accept Max's proposal to return home, though she soon comes back to stop him from destroying it.
Played By: Jane Seymour Alternate: Kim Cattrall
Dr. Barbara Minerva/Cheetah: She is a British archaeologist who was hired by Maxwell Lord to lead the expedition into Belize and find the Dreamstone. Ambitious, confident, and highly competitive, Barbara has a passion that has her always trying to be the best and see everything as a competition. Once she gets powers from the Dreamstone, her highly competitive nature turns her against Wonder Woman, as she tries to prove herself better, as well as feeling intoxicated with the power she now wields, making her better than everyone. In the end, she's willing to do anything to keep her powers, even going against her former friend to do so.
Played By: Michelle Pfeiffer Alternate: Lena Olin
Maxwell "Max" Lord: He is an opportunistic businessman, oil magnate, and enemy of Diana Prince. He was the controller of the Dreamstone and planned to use it to become the one person that all powerful men and women owed a favor. A man with charisma and a magnetic personality, knowing just how and what to say to people to get them on his side, or agree with him. Seeing that Diana has powers, and has the knowledge of the Dreamstone, he know he won't be able to control or manipulate her, so he makes a plan to have her removed, permanently if it's necessary.
Played By: Raul Julia Alternate: Jeremy Irons
Rex Mason: He is an adventurer who is hired by Stagg Enterprises CEO, Simon Stagg, to retrieve a rare artifact, the Dreamstone, before his old business partner (Maxwell Lord) manages to secure it. He's a handsome man, a bit conceited and full of himself. However he's not a malicious person, and can acknowledge other people's strengths. He's on the heels of Diana and Barbara when looking for the Dreamstone, his experience countered by both of their knowledge combined.
Played By: Richard Gere Alternate: Michael Biehn
Queen Hippolyta: She is the Queen of the Amazons, a former lover of Zeus and mother to Diana. Hippolyta is an extremely capable and skilled leader, as well as an equally courageous warrior. When Diana returns home, though ecstatic to see her once more, she still has to uphold the laws and banshee her from Themyscira. She does encourage her to not give up however, admitting she was wrong on stopping Diana from leaving and trying to control her.
Played By: Lynda Carter Alternate: Ursula Andress
Donna: She is a young amazon who has great admiration for Diana, and one of the leading lights in her generation, to the point that some of the amazons have come to calling her "Wonder Girl" as a way to praise her and liken her to Diana. Donna is incredibly curious about the outside world, willing to sneak with Diana to leave Themyscira and see it along with her idol. While not as strong as Diana, she is faster, which aids her when facing against Cheetah.
Played By: Catherine Zeta-Jones Alternate: Talisa Soto
Simon Stagg: Simon Stagg is the unscrupulous owner and CEO of Stagg Enterprises, as well as Maxwell Lord's former business partner. The both of them hate each other, and are willing to try and take whatever the other wants for spite.
Played By: Dan Aykroyd Alternate: Billy Crystal
Althea: She is an amazon blacksmith, devotee of Hephaestus, and the forger of many of the amazon weapons as well as mystical artifacts. She spent nearly 70 years building the "Invisible Plane" Diana uses to stop Maxwell.
Played By: Natasha Richardson Alternate: Jacqueline Bisset
Henrietta Candy: She is Diana's secretary, and a descendent of Etta Candy, Diana's old friend. She helps Diana in running the office, and is the one that pushes Diana the most into accepting Maxwell's proposal for an expedition, mainly because of the bills that need to be paid.
Played By: Amy Yasbeck Alternate: Julianne Moore
A.N.: And there it goes...God, this movie is painful to watch! What the fuck were they thinking!!! I almost went with the whole remaking an entire movie instead of using what they had in the sequel, but I did like the idea of a more competent Maxwell Lord, and though I was less keen on a more sympathetic Barbara, I think I managed to make a balance between her as a friend, and then as a villain corrupted by power. I will admit, I was a bit divided on whether to use Donna or not, but I decided for it in the end, if it doesn't work then we can have her removed. And the Post-Credit Scene is a possibility, if we want to keep the movies connected.
Quick question Magoose, but if we wanted to also have Lucasfilm distribute our films through a Home Video Rental store and, say, franchise it throughout North America by the name, I dunno...Blockbuster [even going so far as to set things up so that much later on it can be revamped into an online streaming service], how much would establishing such an enterprise roughly cost?
And while we're on the subject, same thing for an inhouse team of translators and VAs?

Personally, I don't want to get into the rental service. It just feels a bit too much of a gamebreaker if we try it. And streaming is the Devil's Spawn! I may have to accept it now, but i won't forget, nor do i think we should, that it's one of the reasons why the TV shows of old, and the quality of the current ones, are so low at the moment.
Not to mention how the streaming wars just tend to fuck up the costumer that before coul djust watch Cable and have Streaming as an add on, but now they need to have more than one service if they want to see good shows.
