Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

In the original timeline, September 1970 was actually pretty significant for Clint Eastwood in that that was when filming for Play Misty for Me started, which was the first film for him as director.

Guys, shouldn't we take some extra time to be able to get a bigger role? Right now it's at 45 DC, if we take the option to try writing and improve then perhaps it could be reduced even more as we'll be able to offer better ideas.

Hmm, I guess I have an idea for a possible plan.

[] practice writing, try to get a bit bigger role and learn some things

-[]No
-[] Prepare for role (Role Change)
-[] Practice Writing
-[] Gophering
-[] Learn Something: Wuxia

The last two I picked in that learning what happens behind the camera to be potentially useful in the future and I kind of hope we spend a fair amount of at least our early career in Martial Arts Films so having a better understanding of the Wuxia genre may be helpful if we decide to do that, since from what I understand Wuxia were at least a pretty big influence of Hong Kong Martial Arts films if not what genre they were part of. I am willing to change the last one if someone gives a better thing to learn though.

Edit: I'm changing my vote to the following.

[X] Plan: Be Prepared...With a Vengeance!!!

It has basically everything I originally voted for anyway and I don't want to split the vote for the no option.

All right, I've been thinking about our next actions and I have designed this plan to improve our chances for when we begin Production.

[X] Plan: Be Prepared...With a Vengeance!!!
-[X]No: You aren't ready for production just yet.
-[X]Prepare for the Fury (Role Change): You want to see if Bruce is willing to give you a larger role, or failing that, just something badass to do? DC: 45 Reward: you get a larger role, and maybe something more.
-[X] Gophering, and other signs of stuff: You want to try and learn how work behind the camera works, and what better way than being a gopher. DC 50 (You have no idea what the hell they were doing, and you have no idea either)
-[X] Practice writing: You want to write something, maybe even a script. At least to learn the craft. DC 20 (You try your hand at screenwriting, and maybe get something that is worth a damn. Please note that your script quality will have a roll malus due to never trying something like this before.)
-[X] Research stuff, see if anything piques your interest: You may have graduated High School as a kid, but you never stopped trying to learn. DC 15 (Write-in: Chinese Films)

First of all, I've selected "No" as it gives us the chance to better improve our skills and knowledge, plus there is no mentiont hat there will be any detriment by doing so.

Now, as for the 4 options, I've chosen for role change as I think we can have a better chance to get a bigger role now that we have improved in both fighting, language and understanding the script. However, to better improve our chances I have also selected Gophering as that would give us more knowledge of how the filming and minutia works, and Practice Writing, since I think it sshould give us a bonus when/if we suggest changes to the script in the future.

As for researching stuff, well, I tried thinking of a way to say that I wanted us to study Chines Tropes, but I don't know if that would fit, so I've gone more for "Chinese Films" so that we may understand the difference between western and eastern film tropes and mores.

What do you think?
