Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

I feel like Lop and Ocho has major potential and can be its own film. Others are a bit too removed in time frame, but Tatooine Rhapsody could be a fun little side story.
Yeah Lop and Ocho is a must. But I figure we could cobble together a season by chopping parts of season one and two together. Maybe add some other bits from canon and fan stuff and possibly some original content. For instance I think a lengthened version of this fan animation could be a good episode.

Only thing I would change about CIS is to not have the post-Revenge era content focus solely on the Mega Corps and make them somehow more evil than the Empire. Of course the Seps are worse than the Republic, but show more of the original revolutionaries who had genuine greviances against the Republic to further emphasize the tragedy that such a noble cause was corrupted and used as a tool for the Sith. It also adds plenty of moral ambiguity similar to the Vietnam War which Lucas based the OT off of.
I'd like to see some more Separatist holdouts join the rebellion in whatever expanded universe we wind up with. Or heck just some rebel cells using old battle droids more often.

Good god the only two works we can adapt to the big screen that can stand toe-to-toe with Star Wars are Tolkien's Ring trilogy and Herberts Dune since they both already have massive fanbases (especially Tolkien).

Eh, there is only one film that has the potential to get to a thousand quality again.

Schindlers List, and that requires some work.

And Steve not succumbing to depression and hopelessness during that production.

Yes, the only works that could have actually tried making a stand against the Juggernaut that is Star Wars.

...and they belong to us. :drevil:

Would it help if we don't have him work on Jurassic Park at the same time?

You know the funny thing is, George, when he makes the next star wars film or trilogy, will want to do the same thing like he did this time.

Work on the first film all himself then have his best friends direct and work on the other two, while being close.

Edit: Almost like he knows that he has stregnths and weaknesses and knows them well.

Wise. Why mess with what works after all?

I'd suggest he work on the last film while Steven works on the first though.

That depends.

Phantom Menece did prove he could do an action scene...

But Episode 3... oh my god episode three was peak.

And bruce is stuck with the second film again, he'd cry fowl!

I feel like we'd be better able to handle Revenge as opposed to Attack, given how much more focused on politics, intrigue, and character interaction/introspection which doesn't really align with Bruce's action directing specialty. I'm sure we could do it if we needed to, but I think it might be better to get someone else to do it and have us focus on Revenge.

I think that we should focus on Attack of the Clones since it gives us the chance to change the parts that were problematic (I.E. boring) and replace them with our specialty; action scenes!

Imagine an Attack of the Clones with better choreography, where we remove all the scenes that has Anakin and Padme's romantic sub-plot and instead is full of mystery and action, with romance and attraction growing organically. Plues, Steven's movie, if he's able to do the first one that is, would give us a strong foundation for how to do a good follow up.

In the end we have the time, but I don't think we should stay married to how the Prequels were. We can keep the good parts, but we should not try and keep the entire thing just because of them.

Also, and this might get us shot.

We can break away from the trilogy format.

Cause we need to established tbe background, and need more movie episodes ( at least 1 more for an in- between for attack of the clones and revenge of the sith for Grevious,Ahsoka, all the clones character and even Dooku to cook) before tying it in Episode 3.

Afterwards, we can consider the Clone wars series.

Punt episode 1 to being a prequel to the prequels, or skip it entirely/relegate it to non-movie media, split the events of episode 2 and 3 across three films. Seems to have been the basis of most reasonable attempts to figure out how to "fix" the prequels (in the absence of the clone wars show, at least).

But we will miss out on Anakin being picked as a kid (and I honestly think it is integral to his character), as we need context to his origin.

I am also avoiding too much split content where you need to watch certain media first to get an idea of what is going on in the film.

I see there is talk about the Prequel Trilogy.

If we somehow reach the time to do the Sequel Trilogy, this is all I ask:

Make it the Thrawn Trilogy.

Not the MaRey Sue Skywalker Palpatine bitch shit.

I think the problem with that is that in my opinion Thrawn works better in the timeframe of the novels and unless we make the sequels before the prequels the movies would have to happen after that timeframe, maybe we can make the movies center around some dark side that tries to revive the Sith and the story is about finally ending the dark sides menace and making Luke's orden making sure no heir to the old enemy arise

I have an idea for Rey in our Star Wars franchise. Namely that she starts out as Bruce imagining what his daughter would be like as a Jedi. Even her name would be derived from "Mary". Rey would've been a lot better received if it weren't for that forced "strong female character" stoicism.

and I'm going to reiterate that we pre-plagiarize Harry Potter. Except with better writing. Like names that aren't cringy as hell in retrospect.
