@King crimson caitlin snow has not had her coop increase from the turn applied (+.35 to 1.65)

Also has anyone besides Mari gotten an XP bump recently ( I think Lex's martial bump was from XP donated during turn 19, not sure if any other xp was spent on stats)
None of the stats have been boosted from any of the results phase. I was planning on getting it done later on once I had more time to devote to things besides getting my final projects done and maybe getting the next update up.

How are your final projects going? :)
Alright all things considered (I've finished my 2000 word minimum essay on why Leibniz is terrible at arguing for free will and repeatedly shoots himself in the foot and have now gone on to start writing about the guy who shares a name with a Kingdom Hearts character. Haven't even touched the one on the role of emotions within moral systems. Keep in mind this is all still in the rough draft phase)

This time yes but in the future I'll be restricting it far more heavily and will only give you 400 for a single post. It's a loophole that I'm going to close now that I have seen it (you've posted a series of drawings meant to be a single entity and thus in the future I'm going to treat it as a single entity so that people can't pull stunts like draw a comic and then try to get exp for each panel).

....
[Stops drawing comic]
Well then, I'll just not be doing that again then!

I mean.

For someone for whom a single pencil sketch is difficult, rewarding them with 400 XP is reasonable.

For someone who can dash off a dozen of them quickly to string them together into a comic strip, 4800 XP is not reasonable.

Now, over here I've been writing this insanely massive and chapterized omake (The Metropolitan Clan), along with a couple of other much shorter series. The thing is, it actually legit takes me hours of work to complete each omake, as a rule, and I make sure they're of a suitable length that they stand as meritorious stories in their own right. Time and effort investment is important, if only because one of the things we can and do buy with XP currency is more of King crimson's time and effort (in the form of omakes of his own)

Well? Spill the beans - how did you do it? :drevil:
The trick is to deliberately get called on a lie so that you get four of a kind of a single number of cards. Then once you have four of a kind you do not ever play them or get rid of them since you now completely control the pace of the game and can repeatedly call out any attempts to play that kind of card. From there you control the pace of the game and deliberately engineer your winning while tediously dragging out any and all counterplay. The last cards you should get rid of are your four of a kind.

If people adapt and don't want to call you out on bold lies make sure to punish them for it by calling things out that are impossible but if they do call you out on it you gain control of the match with the four of a single kind of card again making winning impossible (an example of this is saying you have seven threes when you have two jacks in your hand and know there are two jacks in the pile. Your opponent must either let you get rid of seven cards or make it impossible for anyone else to play any jacks going forward).

Sorry for getting this out so late but my coursework takes priority as much as I would prefer it didn't. We'll be doing the Lexpo event first, then the C.C. Haly meeting and then an interlude before we are moving to turn 20 (that is the tentative plan). Without further ado let me get to the actual update that people are interested in.

The First Lexpo Part 1
Oswald Loomis

Oswald was not a nervous man by nature. He'd certainly feel intimidated by certain things but for all of his tendency to fret over some stuff Oswald preferred to be proactive in response to problems and push past any sentiments that would prevent him from moving forward. Still he couldn't help but feel the slightest bits of trepidation as to this event that he was nominally in charge of.

Oswald understood why he was put in charge of the event, after all he had more than proven his ability to handle both the public and publicity events and so Luthor trusted him to manage this event as well. Roxanne had joined him in this endeavor and while he greatly enjoyed spending time with her and working with her, the woman wasn't one for the more minor details. Roxanne managed to handle the flashier aspects of the work like potential use of pyrotechnics, display ideas and various marketing ploys while Oswald handled the numbers and logistics in the background. Amusingly the very name for the event, "Lexpo", came about from a joke of Roxanne's that had stuck. They did good work together but Oswald knew that at the end of the day it was up to him to deliver. After all unlike Roxanne his wishes deviated somewhat from the official LexCorp policy far more often. Even within the very planning of this event Oswald had managed to push for his own agenda, giving children more opportunities to succeed, semi-independently from Lex Luthor's orders. After all while the little scholarship idea to give children the ability to attend the expo along with a parent or guardian certainly didn't harm LexCorp's image at all and could be beneficial it was something Oswald had pulled without consulting with Luthor. Being able to pursue his own agendas at LexCorp came with the caveat that he must first succeed at the companies goals.

Oswald didn't begrudge Luthor his position. In fact working at LexCorp was relatively free and concerns were listened to and abided by. Oswald just knew that it came at the cost of having to perform assigned tasks competently and efficiently.

Oswald looked over the arrangement of the various displays and platforms being set up in Centennial Park as well as he security arrangements he had swung with the Metropolis police. The expo would be large and spacious with almost all of the presentation areas and booths being spacious and well lit but it also meant that nearly all of the Metropolis Police Department would have to be in attendance to ensure that nothing wrong would happen. There were stations for metal detectors and bags would be checked upon entry. It was necessary though to prevent any tragedies from occurring.

Realizing that the preparations on that end were most likely good on that end, Oswald looked over the list of students that had gotten into the final round for free tickets from his little scholarship program. There were a few good candidates although he ultimately had to make the final cut on who could get in. Oswald prepared to mull it over. He wondered if he could convince Luthor to let Jinx and Cassandra attend this event.

Everything was coming together fairly well now. He just had to ensure it stayed that way.

Roxanne Sutton
Roxy was glad that Ozzy was their to deal with all the boring stuff of making sure the expo ran on time. That way she could focus on the fun stuff like explosions and killer robots and all of that jazz. True some of her more outlandish ideas had gotten shot down, although she maintained that having a ride-your-own-rocket station would have gotten them a lot of press, but the general atmosphere was still maintained.

People liked to be entertained. They didn't want to think hard or deep or anything like that. People just wanted to see something cool. They'd worry about the ramifications, specifications and other 'cations later. Roxy was just less pretentious about it then most people on the street. And so Roxy had set it up to be impressive and exciting. Big screens, pyrotechnics, displays and all of the hype people could muster. The focus wasn't on selling the technicalities or the in depth nuances, no it was on selling to the public how impressive it all was. Once the emotions were hooked then people would interpret the data in a way that favored LexCorp and the endless pile of jargon the tech guys liked to throw around would mean something other than a large sludge of boring words.

Roxy was happy to just sit back and relax once things got underway. Sure she might have gone overboard with the demonstration of things like Carol's self-flying planes but Roxy believed in going big or going home.

Bruce Wayne
Bruce had heard news of Luthor's latest publicity stunt the so called "Lexpo". He still didn't trust the man but he had no time to gather anymore information as to the man's dealings. Nygma had disappeared off the grid after heading to Metropolis and that was concerning in and of itself. It was especially pressing with the reappearance of the Riddler. Bruce believed that this Riddler was not Nygma but rather someone else hijacking the persona to rapidly gain infamy but he wasn't able to rule out a surprise return by Nygma just yet.

Bruce though over this latest event. Lexpo could let him gather more information on Lex Luthor. However he'd have to abandon Gotham to do that and while the city was cleaner than the days of Falcone's heyday, there was still plenty of corruption and crime that would happily take advantage of his absence. On top of that he was still training Dick and didn't want to abandon him halfway through training. He could head out with Dick on his own but that left Gotham wide open to any attacks. He could send Alfred there but then he'd be depriving Dick of one of the greatest pillars of support and strength who was always there for him even when Bruce couldn't be. As such that path wasn't viable either. Fries was preoccupied with saving his wife and while he'd listen to Bruce's request there was no guarantee he wouldn't cause a scene later or abandon the task halfway through. Most concerningly there was always the small possibility that Lex could turn him. The man had already shown no hesitation at poaching Wayne Enterprises employees he thought were useful.

In the end Bruce's mind settled on who to send. Lucius Fox was the ideal candidate. He was loyal above reproach to Bruce and at the same time his contributions to Gotham's recovery did not require him to remain within it. Lex and Lucius had already met in the past and Lex had gone out of his way to try and give Lucius a good impression of himself. He was the right choice to send. Lexpo would reveal more than just what Luthor wanted to show

Diana Prince
Director Prince knew that if she wanted to be ready for the future she had to keep her eyes out on Lex Luthor. Her nominal ally while useful and predictable to an extent was also one of the most dangerous men on the planet and was a harbinger of great chaos and change. He was someone who you couldn't afford to underestimate or ignore unless you wished to find yourself stuck in the past.

The man's mind breezed through things at a terrifying rate and while he had shown no signs of wanting to overturn existing authority, thank Hera for that, Diana was sure that if he truly wanted to he could tear down nearly everything modern society had built up. He was an innovator that improved the standard of living for people everywhere yet at the same time only he knew what he was thinking and how he came up with his ideas.

Diana was working with this man and to some extent she trusted him but she wouldn't take her eyes off of him. To do so would be folly. Lexpo was a chance for him to court more allies and thrust himself into the limelight even more. Diana would observe his endeavors with her own eyes and see which path he took. They were allies yes and while Diana had no intention of letting him subvert the DOMA she also knew that Lex Luthor was necessary for the future she wanted to bring about. Besides Diana would much rather have Lex be working with her than someone more willing to make use of more morally questionable tactics like Amanda. Lexpo was not just an opportunity to stay ahead of the game when gaining knowledge of the billionaires plans and breakthroughs but it was also a chance to see what sort of people were interested in turning the wonders of LexCorp into terrors.

Oswald has run a competition in which students who passed were eligible to receive tickets for themselves and a chaperone. As such please select as many options as you would like from the list below to win the contest. Note that this is not a guarantee that they will show up but provides them with the opportunity to do so. Please keep your vote in plan format. There is a 1 hour moratorium on voting.

Child Attendance subvote
With Lexpo being such a large event you now have to decide if you want to let Cassandra and Jinx attend it. Plenty could go wrong if they are present but on the other hand it would give people ammunition to use against you if you do not let the children under your care ever leave the building. The choice is yours. Please pick your favorite option from the list below. Please separate your vote on this subvote from any other vote by at least two lines so that it isn't counted as part of the plan vote. Write-ins are available for this subvote although all write-ins are subject to QM approval. There is a 1 hour moratorium on voting
[ ] [Child] Let both Jinx and Cassandra attend with no restrictions
[ ] [Child] Let just Jinx attend with nothing more than a minder
[ ] [Child] Let just Cassandra attend with nothing more than a minder
[ ] [Child] Let both Jinx and Cassandra attend so long as they agree to be escorted by LexCorp security forces at all times
[ ] [Child] Let Jinx attend so long as she stays well away from the more volatile booths and stations
[ ] [Child] Let Cassandra attend so long as she always stays with you

Okay I have a question since Russia in the dc universe has exo suits (or at least that's what I think those suits they use in suicide squad rebirth are) and lex had his, are they any versions that have the us government have them?

Yes although they tend to be super-prototypes.

Germany also has had a division solely of people in power armor

Tell us more, please. Alternatively - how expensive would the interlude be?
It's a group called Die Rakete-Auslese led by a man named Karl Zorn in comics. They teamed up with the Justice League to deal with the Starheart.

As for an interlude I can't give you one on them just yet as the group doesn't quite exist this turn in quest (it certainly could exist in the future and Germany certainly has reason to want its own power armor brigade and they've got enough leftover supertech that they could assemble some relatively quickly)

Kek. It's ok we can show him how we will destroy Wayne Tech's Flatscreen sales.
