Subverting the government to a greater extent than the rest of the military industrial complex is a very tall order. I don't think we have plans to do that beyond the occasional immaterial "wouldn't it be nice".
I think Lex wants a lot more detail-level control, and would want more direct domestic policy influence, especially over metahuman affairs.

The real life military-industrial complex tends not to care whose shit the US military blows up, so long as shit continues to blow up.

I'll be pouring the exp into Janus' learning if I manage to get any @King crimson

It was something I asked a while back, and unless his opinion changed we can't use EXP on Janus. Gotta buff him/them the hard way, though we haven't gone much for refining the creation of Meta-Animals. Janus would probably die if we use Plant or Bone Serums on him. Hmm...

@King crimson: Do we have any options for improving animals in general or researching them? The only thing under Learning I saw was "Animal/Plant Integration". Hmm... do we have any idea how the Language Spell might affect non-humans? Seems like it serves a nice starting point for creating a Spell for mentally augmenting non-human animals.

The Red should work on animals I think. Gotta study it 1st.

@King crimson

Is this how you reckon, Janus looks like?

I won't dive deep on the Internet again.
Not too far off. Janus is actually specifically based on the two headed lion cub (an image of said lion cub can be viewed here although it's much scruffier and less clean then Janus is) Batman, Volume 3: Death of The Family

I want to use this image for Janus on the character profile but I'm having problems transitioning it there. I may just put it in media for a reference image

So on these two sketches they qualify for fanart. You'll be getting 400 exp for each piece although you can't spend them on Janus' stats.

There are a few options although I'm not going to state all of them that can be listed although I will state that cybernetic enhancements tend to work alright on animals as well. The language spell cannot affect animals because it relies on the person being enhanced having a specific area of their brain (Wernicke's/Broca's) which most animals lack. Recent scientific studies have only gone as far as to state chimpanzees have an analogue to these area rather than an equivalent so it certainly wouldn't work for a lion.

Would Cassandra's Learn Cat Body Language sate you?

... Huh, if we give her all the powers of a cat, that would make her even better as a physical combatant. Shame we haven't taken the, "Follow Cheetah" option or whatever it was. Though, I guess researching the Tantu Totem and The Red would be an excellent gateway for improving all our biology actions.

This time yes but in the future I'll be restricting it far more heavily and will only give you 400 for a single post. It's a loophole that I'm going to close now that I have seen it (you've posted a series of drawings meant to be a single entity and thus in the future I'm going to treat it as a single entity so that people can't pull stunts like draw a comic and then try to get exp for each panel).

Didn't mean for it to be a loophole sorry, just wanted to restrict it to one post as someone pointed it out to me.

It wasn't meant at all to be a judgement on your character. In general I have faith in the people on this thread to maintain a general level of honest. However I also believe in preemptively removing the possibility of dishonesty and cheating ahead of time so it doesn't become a thing.

I fairly regularly "playtest" features by trying to come up with ways to break or exploit them and then restrict the avenues that could be used to exploit such a mechanic in future rulings. This just happened to be one such time where I ended up testing something and it would've altered a previous ruling if I had tested it before you got those posts up.

Also general note on game design, I think the best way to test a system is to see how well it holds up to someone deliberately trying to break it while following the exact letter of the rules (I'm actually banned from playing the card game BS with any of my friends because I managed to prove that its a terrible system by exploiting a specific mechanic and deliberately collecting four of a kind of a specific card).

@King crimson caitlin snow has not had her coop increase from the turn applied (+.35 to 1.65)

Also has anyone besides Mari gotten an XP bump recently ( I think Lex's martial bump was from XP donated during turn 19, not sure if any other xp was spent on stats)
