Seeing what people end up going for will be really interesting. After this we've got the plan subvotes, some interludes and at least 1 event. I am excited for what the future holds. Oh, actually, would research into The Red make it easier to create Splicing? Very least it seems relevant to Man-Bat and splicing in general. Though back to The Red + Bone Growth... Would studying other creatures and incorporating their traits improve the connection?

Granted, I'm not sure what creatures we could study for better bones and/or extra effects. That, and if we're gonna build in a connection to The Red for Bone Growth, we need it to actually do something.

Hmm... We could research The Red, use that to mimic the Tantu Totem and/or Splicing and combine it with Bone Growth so we got a Shapeshifter serum. But that's more adding something entirely new...

Oh, if we limit it a bit, we could have the "Red Bones" capable of mimicking creatures. Bones that shoot webs/ink would be neat, giving them poisonous or electric properties would be awesome, forming wings would be just shy of outright animalness...

The Red would make some aspects of biology a bit easier. The Green also makes certain aspects of Biology easier as well as does the clear/blue but the real king of giving biology boosts is something like the Divided in my opinion.

The Red can imbue people with animal powers though yes (I would argue its not really biology but it is a bit of a gray area).

You could make DC's own Spiderman for sure with the Red

The Red would make it a bit easier to do splicing although it is far more accurate to say that the reverse is true where splicing makes you more receptive to the Red (you don't master the Red to go Manbat, you go Manbat to help master the Red).

Studying other creatures and inserting their traits into humans, so long as it is biological and those parts contain identical DNA would work (getting people to secrete a modified version of spitting cobra venom in their saliva wouldn't help while getting them to secrete actual spitting cobra venom would for example).

"Red Bones" were actually not planned for but it certainly is possible to do now that I think of it. I'm a fan of the option and am giving you 100 exp for it. I will say that it is hard to do as it's basically a variation of Beastboy's power that's a little less intuitive.

I kinda want to save Ivo, just to use him for one more reverse engineering action, or learning about x action, maybe nth metal since we're almost going to lose him to something or other soon. If we buy a cryogenic suspension chamber we can just put him in the next time he has to be taken to the hospital (turn 20 according to our supercomputer).

For the option with Bane I'd rather we not buy Vincent Edge unless we are going to pass him to the US or will just help facilitate that transfer. What can we really gain from him that we haven't already taken? (We could give him to Dr. Moon I guess, but the US wants him)

There's always his backup to consider. We don't know what he did exactly. If we let him die hopefully there's an option to fully examine and clear out his lab to see if he left anything behind (notes, traps, a jar full of antimatter, etc.)

The big problem is that the 'color' elemental forces in DC tend to be, uh... kind of hard to control.

Any progress we make would probably be very dependent on a handful of specially talented individuals' ability to empower objects. Not sure that's what we want.

A device to kill him later is just redundant at this point since he himself is a ticking bomb. A tracking device is largely pointless because spends all his time in the labs in our basement (except when blowing craters in them or getting hospitalized). Also because he'd probably just die if anyone tried to kidnap him, and frankly if they want to do that and can avoid killing him, they can have him. They'll probably be offering to pay us to take him back within a couple of days.

So it comes down to 'save' or 'kill.' Honestly I'm starting to support 'let him die.' There's not a lot more we're likely to get out of him before his condition actually kills him, if he's having organ failures and shutdowns like every turn.

I dunno. On the one hand, Lois is very sharp, on the other hand, Lex is very good at diplomacy statwise and we have some reasonably good defenses.

We should go into this meeting expecting curveballs, though- not only questions about the explosion, but other things. Like "this security guy who worked for you [the one we lost in Markovia], what happened to him." She may also have done groundwork investigations indirectly like 'look into the police.'

We should really, really make sure to plan ahead for how to respond to her hitting us with just about every shady thing we've ever done, because we can't plausibly predict which ones will be the targets.

Given the risk that he fails disastrously on any given turn if we don't put huge resources into helping him (namely, Lex+other heroes on a collaboration), I don't think it's even worth keeping him alive another turn or two. What will we do with him that's worth the risk of him doing something insubordinate (like working on A.M.A.Z.O. in secret anyway) or disastrous (like fucking around with antimatter again)?

( @Torgamous convinced me that keeping Ivo alive, but dumping all blame for the explosion on him and relying on his total inability to cope with other people to ensure that everyone believes it might be viable. I don't know if this is enough for me to let him live, but it's enough for me to consider it and 'disarm' my 'die' vote.

However, over time I became more concerned about the risks of leaving Ivo alive, and I think we can deniably let Ivo die if we're not too blatant about it, and I think we need him done and no longer a direct source of immediate object-level problems like "LexCorp Headquarters go boom" or "killer robot prototype unleashed on premises in our basement.")

One thing to note here... if we're letting Ivo die, we need to keep an eye out on Marie. After all, she had good relations with him and she won't be happy to find out we let Ivo die.

True, though on the one hand she doesn't need to know, but on the other hand it's an issue and she has a known tendency to wreak revenge.

On the other hand, Lex is a pretty good liar and we can continue cyborg/robot-body research without Ivo in hopes of one day letting her go all Battle Angel Marie and have an adult-sized body.

I mean, he plans to make up for that with spending literally the rest of eternity in a robot body powerful enough to twist Superman into a pretzel, and he might actually pull it off if we helped him very very hard, so... eh.
