Shouldn't we consider hiring a P.I. so that we could do the investigation actions every turn instead of dedicating an action to doing such? Anything that might allow us to automate some actions or increase the amount we can do in a turn is quite valuable.
No. Not this turn at least

1) It is a high DC action to get a hero unit. You need a decent success to get better options than we have. Decent success needs Luthor personal attention and even then it is a gamble
2) We now have Martial back up for Mercy and she can do low priority investigations when we need
3) Quest to find ??? may be resolved this turn taking away the most important job from this investigator

We get a new advancement in Robotics/general technology every time that Ives works on AMAZO though. We got the flight repulsion tech as a result of his studying after all. Plus, since we haven't done anything to save or prolong Ives' life, he could get a Nat 1 for fighting it and straight up die.

If we really want weapons research, we got 7 other Hero Units. Sure, they aren't all super-geniuses, but they'll each bring their own approach. For example, I'm curious what the thrill-seeking Roxanne would consider appropriate weaponry.
We get robotics, true. But it is more about doing actions which are short term useful. Weapons are useful in the war while A.M.A.Z.O is a long term action we can delay for immediate benefits. he only non-directly war-related action I am voting for is Botany and it is mainly because I am very worried to annoy Pamela by keeping her away from beloved plants and doing nothing "green". Also, she is a target and I don't want her being involved in diplomancing-intriguing

Also, I am a wrong person to care about "he can die before finishing A.M.A.Z.O". I am from the camp of helping him dying before he finishes it. Unless we can fix his sanity somewhat.

Finally, I highly doubt that nat 1 will result in die and not in worse condition.

@Ukrainian Ranger: Oh I don't care for Ives either, just that assigning him to AMAZO Project means for-sure advances in technology every time. That, and it'll make finishing the AMAZO Project the more he already completed for us. Honestly, sexist pigs like him have no place in the New Lex Order.

I see your point, but A.M.A.Z.O has the potential for kicking something that we need this turn out. Currently, it is directly competing with botany (sad Pamela, slowing down) Construction company (lost profit ) Sell close to home (profit, lost +relationships with US government) Is some free robotics tech better than any of those? Also, look at currently popular actions and think which gives better synergy for them +30 to new weapons roll or Ivo's stuff?

Another thing. Why go green? Is it to appease Pamela? Research botany serves a similar function and we can assign Pamela to it for a great benefit unlike go green.

Ok, so here are the leading 9 actions and some runner-ups:

1. Hire more LexCorp security forces (18)
2. Work with the Government (17)
3. Investigate Sasha Glynul (17)
4. Equip your forces with improved armor (11)
5. Investigate Elaine Marsh-Morton (10)
6. Design and produce self-flying planes (10)
7. Improve weapons (10)
8. Sell close to home (9)
9. Research botany (8)

Runner-ups(to be more specific, actions that are no more than 3 votes away from taking 9th place): The A.M.A.Z.O. project (7), Create a construction company (7), Donate to the public (6).

@Ukrainian Ranger: Because Pamela wanted us to Go Green ever since she was hired. Doing nothing but botany research to satisfy her will eventually stop working. Besides, going Green is good for the environment, encourages others to go Green, and reduces pollution so people can focus on better things than the environmental mess they deliberately created.

Going Green is going to have to wait until after we've solved our war with the League of Shadows and found out who framed us for the five dead assassins. It is a hard Stewardship action when our best people in that category are busy with more important actions (Luthor on the investigation, Carol on self-flying planes). All of our other heroes aren't all that good at Stewardship, so they can't really be used to ensure the success of that action.

Go green is not an easy action. Chances are that heroless it will either fail (with potential to backfire) or have a barely noticeable effect aka wasted action. And I can't see how we can assign Luthor (the only man actually good for this job) on this.

Eventually, Pamela will want us to do this or similar action. But right now we should do an easier to achieve a similar thing that can very well reduce go green action DC or offer other actions that will make Pamela happy.

There is absolutely no urgency to risk with going green ASAP.

Oh, and there is strategic voting. You may think that go green is better than research botany. But one has higher chance to win. It is better to compromise and go for a similar less liked action than seeing how both of them miss the top 9.

So quick PSA there are currently three actions tied for the ninth spot at eight votes ( Amazo, botany and construction company). If a tie remains when the vote remains I'll flip a coin or roll a die to determine which is taken.

@King crimson: So regarding Earth 27, would you be completely controlling the characters we make or will you allow our continued input? Oh, and regarding Pamela, roughly how many turns do we have until she gets annoyed by our lack of environmental progress?

Like, would Research Botany decrease the DC for Go Green? Are there any actions in particular that would make it easier to perform? Or do we merely have to assume things and wait for what happens?

I think between those three we need botany the most. Otherwise, Pamela has no good task to assign. Once again I suggest ones who care about appeasing her to consider switching from go green to research botany.

Sure, there is plenty of time and with several more voters who can kick out any action except something like top 5...

Now is the perfect time for the construction company, plus it could lead to hiring another business oriented hero unit, and we have taken tech that would suit this company.

If we really want to kick out an action out so that we can acomodate two of three currently tied for ninth place actions, the best action to kick out would be the Investigation of Elaine, as it is much more likely that the ??? is going to be Sasha Glynul, so investigating Elaine isn't all that important. That said, if we do manage to kick out an action, then, alongside Botany, we really should take construction company in order to be able to do a much better job at repairing Metropolis.

I agree but that ship has sailed away. It is very popular, people made their choice for investigating Elaine.

I am also worried about self-flying planes. This action isn't high enough to be safe. It will be unpleasant. We want to make Carol feel that Ferris Aerospace is important and that Luthor wasn't that honest in his speech.

Man did anyone, besides the QM, see this coming and think she might be the culprit?
I mean, when ??? first showed up and we were discussing who she could be she was on my short list
Regarding who is our mystery agitator I think it probably comes from within Ra's al Ghul Ranks since not many people could convince his assassins to disobey orders. my bet was it was either Talia al Ghul or her sister Nyssa Raatko. they both given the order with the pretense of Ra's permission and have betrayed Ra's on several different occasion which leads me to think that this false flag operation is a ploy to instigate a coup against Ra's.

Well, for me, it was either "Miranda Tate" or "Sasha Glynul" as soon as we got the actions to investigate the three suspects that had a jian, which was the weapon used on the five assassins that were killed in police custody . The former was suspicious because of her showing up as a possible PR representative as she sounded too good to be true, given the roll we had on that action. The latter felt suspicious mostly because she was a "black void" of information (aka there was very little information about her; "Sasha Glynul is suspicious since next to no information could be found about her. She has no social security or insurance, has zero visible work or family history and doesn't appear to own a house yet has enough money to purchase a custom made Jian. ")

There will be some continued input on your part if you want. You won't write the character in the main thread if they show up (that's all me) but Omakes detailing their adventures on Earth 27 are entirely yours and can heavily shape and change the character over time.

I cannot give a solid time frame for when Pamela will get annoyed at lack of progress since how events proceed (like the war with the League) will greatly affect her patience.

So there is now a four way tie between equipping armor, making a construction company, designing self flying planes and selling close to home. If the tie isn't broken I will randomly select which of these options are taken
