Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

"You don't have to tell me what it is, but I need you to tell me why you don't want me going after Coil."
uuuuuuuuegh, really? Well at least he'll just get the sensor scans. That should be enough for his power to twig him onto it being the Travellers. And really Lisa?
"I'm afraid of trying to explain it, because if I get something wrong or misinterpreted things then you might think you can deal with it."
That feel when a random teenager tells the most powerful and skillful cape in the Western Hemisphere that they're convinced he's a screw up.

Should ask Lethe to follow Tattletale around until she discovers the fuck's got Lisa so wound up, but being so immersed in her Secchen range Lisa'd probably realize something was off unless Lethe can specifically blinker Lisa in particular.

Joe the big bro of the group

Still want to see Brian's reaction on the unmasking of Lethe... though might be bitter sweet if he interpret on what her possible trigger could be based on her power

That said, Lisa had one thing she forgot about in all this: Joe acts ok about things. Right up until he doesn't.

Who else is down there in Coil's hidey hole?

Dinah.

She goes through once, and Joe will probably raze it down to the bedrock the next day.
She knows all too well. That's what the part about kindness and anger was about. You had to be kind to be angry at injustice. And Coil is all about injustices.

And I can see Tats slowly realizing something else - she can't hold back on scanning either. She's on a time limit - if she tries delaying on getting the scans, it'll ping on Joe's manipulation sense, and between Lethe and Survey it's not as though he really needs to go through her to get those scans. He could literally get them after this call and she won't be able to do anything, and he could change his mind anytime. She did get what she wanted - more time - but it's not as much as she wants, not that it'll ever be, and trying to get more is futile.

So she has to do it. That's it. No ifs, no buts, she has nowhere to go but through that. And that's exactly where Joe wants her to be.

You know if tattletale/Sarah had reveal about Noelle things would have settle a lot more quickly and easily because Joe would have just created like 100 counter measures against Noelle in less then a hour. Also let's face facts Joe could have located Coil base if he stop waiting for tattletale and dealt with the problem himself or have survey do it. This chapters really shows how much he doesn't actually needs tattletale and it's tattletale that's holding him back.

On reflection she was sure that Joe had had a hand in the design of Survey's body. She briefly blanched at the unintended pun
This phrasing avoids the pun. No reason to blanch.

Of course, considering that he was Joe, his subtly still outshone the best efforts of most teams.
subtly -> subtlety?

From the first moment when she had watched him jury-rig a tactical weapon from his sword and play it off as intentional, she knew she was out of her league.
"tactical" and "intentional" are rough synonyms here, with "tactical" taking the sense of being part of a careful plan. The "play it off as" connector implies they're supposed to contrast. Are you sure you meant "tactical"?

Man. Lisa as the only sane man is kind of hilarious.
Lisa's not the sane man. Alec is the sane man. Lisa's STILL criminally under-estimating Joe, simply because she knew him before the +80 powers and can't divorce that person from the current Joe.

'Oh no, out of control power copier!' If she just fucking SAID that, Joe would say 'Well, the only people on my team that could possibly work on are me and Lethe. And Lethe's power is so strong even most other powers forget she's there until she turns it off, so 50/50 it doesn't even work, and you'd need to get through her power armor anyways. And as for myself, it wouldn't be that bad because it would only be variants of my original power.'
But Lisa still dances around the subject and Joe lets her. Admittedly, he'll find out either way, so he can afford to be patient, but it's still aggravating that he's letting Lisa get away with not answering now so he can just go built a load of failsafes and contingencies of his own. Lisa's talking to the best Tinker on the planet, and denying him information. If a situation does occur, it'll be directly Lisa's fault because if Joe had the information about what he was dealing with, he'd have built a better solution.

Lisa's just too scared of Joe to be intelligent. That and the Secchen range thing interacting with Joe causes deliberately drives Parahumans to feeling like their triggers, which means for Lisa feeling like everything is going wrong and spiraling out of control.

Except there is the part where Coil can be put off to a more convenient time. Joe's priorities will certainly lie more on finally dealing with Bakuda once and for all, followed by any eruptions of violence from the powderkeg that is Brockton Bay.

So if this what Joe is planning now, I can only imagine what he will be planning when Alex calls him in the morning (especially depending on whether he has his supercomputer up and running before or after that call).

To note, Joe would be impossible for Noelle to duplicate for a while, given his pyrokinesis could literally prevent him from touching her. On top of that Cyborg Godbody makes it oven more impossible for Noelle to Clone Joe.

Can I just talk how amazing people who have made whole posts of Tattletale, Tattletale's character, and Tattletale's view of Coil and Apeiron how they have correctly guessed and analyzed her thoughts to such a strong degree. How they have so many insights that was true and how accurate they managed to capture Tattletale as. Think about it, many posts has been made and now they have been confirmed. Kudos people!

I hope that within a day Lisa will get to Coil bunker, scan everything and everyone there, and Joe will sketch out a perfect plan for neutralizing the entire contents of the shelter in an hour, including a couple of dozen spare countermeasures, taking into account PR, sound engineering, expenses for a dentist for knocked-out teeth Mr. Calvert and all the rest.
No, I understand everything, but Joe is literally not the weakest deity in terms of the totality of forces. It's time to resolve the issue.
And after that, we will finally move on to Leviathan.
Meanwhile, while trying on my favorite tinfoil hat, I blame Joe's particular perception of time for such a lengthy plot, many temporal forces leave their mark. And of course the machinations of the Cauldron. Surely the contessa has already understood that the silver bullet for the golden idiot matures on its own. And she's legally allowed to mess around. Just sit in front of the doormaker's invisible portal and crunch popcorn to watch her favorite series "Life with Apeiron")

to counter the woman who left her to die in that fucking locker

Huh, I only just now realized, ALL of the Undersiders have now had a traumatic experience because of a crazy woman/girl and a locker.

Basically 10k words with tattletale getting whapped with a newspaper and then she ends it with 'mwahaha! Success!'.

and it was great to read. I'm gonna have faith and say I'm excited for next weeks full chapter.

One of the funniest and more subtle lies of omission in this chapter is the fact that survey essentially is his database. And due to her obsessive cataloging of data will probably read every scan from Lisa's watch.

huh, you know, with mental fortress and its immunity to Masters, would that mean Joe-Clones wouldn't be hate engulfed monsters ala-evil cloning? Would they be... copies of Joe, possibly similar to his potion duplicates by this point?

Not the case. A tactical weapon (at least in the original, nuclear sense) is a weapon that can be used to cause significant damage on the scale of the battlefield as a whole while dealing with minimal damage to friendly forces. It's kind of become a buzzword for "big weapon that do the damage" in certain circles but the term "tactical weapon" is a thing that is not necessarily directly associated with the definition of tactical that you're using.
