but part of me wants to see the Chroniclers react to Skibidi Toilet,

What a fascinating choice of media to have the characters react to :p
That's if they can get past the brainrot era of it without collapsing into a black hole: we must remember that Evangelion is a world without social media and brainrot, and sudden exposure to it would be like exposing a medieval peasant to a Baskin Robins chocolate Oreo shake :V
Still, I'll add it to the voting list... no guarantees it gets anywhere!

I don't think so. That would be a long haul, but seeing how they react to the twist ending that pissed everyone off and made Gregg nuke the series from orbit would be gold.

I still haven't read through enough of Nobody Dies to reach the twist ending, but I heard enough about it that it saps at my drive to re-read it again :V
I got up to the part where Shinji becomes a Nephilim for whatever reason?

Question, regarding the machete order...

Where would Spaceballs fit in--a swamp gas-induced fever dream had by Yoda, maybe?

Too much laughing gas, I had. Night terrors, I experienced!

On my last re-read of Nobody Dies, I skipped that final season which contains Shinji's "transformation" and all the weird shit afterwards leading to the twist. My honest reaction to the whole final chunk of the story, apropos of the current discussion:

I enjoyed the early seasons, but it just got off the rails after chapter 70 or so.

"Ya woulda thought folks would have a bit more a positive reaction to seeing a gal like that."
At least he did not say something even more stupid like "now those are big tits!"
Well, when the band will see how Rei and Shinji are positioned during Instrumentality, they may react in the funny way...
I think we might have seen a rockethammer already – did Chronicles cover Nobody Dies?
The most overhyped NGE fic ever. Frankly I will never understand why it is so popular. It can't make its mind if it wants to be an emotional character drama, or a silly crack, and thus fails at both.

I personally enjoy it myself. At times, Nobody Dies feels like if Evangelion was written by Bill Lawrence and turned into a Scrubs-like action sitcom with that character-driven heart and penchant for drama when necessary. I like when a series can run the gamut of different tones and genres - same reason I love Community and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine so much.

But, diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.
