Here is an omake somewhat related to the question I asked. I took inspiration from a scene from the Dragon Ball Z movie: Lord Slug.

During the attack on the Geofront, info about Seele's existence and intentions was sent to multiple news networks. After everything was revealed, on news anchorman had this to say. "Well folks you saw it, that's the computer simulation of what will happen when Seele succeeds. Now if your anything like me, then you're scared! And you you don't wan to spend you're last moment alive in a TV studio! So have a happy end of the world. See you bye".

With that, the whole planet descended into chaos. Chihiro Tanaka who was watching the news said this. "Holy cow, I just wanted to see the sports! Instead I find out the world's ending. It can't end, I haven't got a handsome boyfriend. It's not fair! I haven't even lived yet"!

Post script: For my next question, how likely that omake I wrote will happen?

Recall that we're dealing with the Internet as envisioned by Gainax in the '90s engineered by individuals and organizations who are part of a world-spanning conspiracy that has essentially had a thumb on the scale since the early 2000s, when the geopolitical stage got swept clean by 2nd Impact and the wars that followed. I'd be shocked of NGE had any semblance of "social media" as existed IRL in 2015.

Any such dispersal of info would have to be entirely through the equivalent of the dark web to not be caught by SEELE or their proxies beforehand.

Well, look at it this way--it'd be about as effective as Jay Sherman, while having already sent his essay "The Sorry State of Films Today" to every major newspaper in America, reaching more people by reading said essay on the low-rated early-morning cable TV show (English for Cab Drivers) that he found himself hosting after his previous show was canned. And in spite of those supposed handicaps, his essay won him another Pulitzer.

Another question asked because woz is a very weird wrench "random" question:

Would Misato let a "regular" civilian who claims to be taking care of Shinji, despite not having been told about anything about this, inside the Geofront?

My initial answer was "yes" because Shinji wouldn't want to leave them outside where the Angel is and Misato would give in...but then when she would have the civilian detained because, well, they were sus. But then I thought, wait, she could just leave the civilian by a shelter, even if Shinji protests about it. But then after that I thought, well, Misato is a little lax on some things...not to mention coming up with crazy plans, so maybe she brings the sus civilian along inside Geofront...so that they can keep better on them, and probably detained too. So I'm not so sure anymore...

If this is a 'someone comes to Tokyo-3 with Shinji' scenario, then Misato wouldn't have the time to worry about getting them to a shelter what with the Angel right on top of them. She would just take them as well and let NERV deal with the mess afterwards.

What MisterHalt said. Plus why would Misato find the civilian sus?
What if said someone was say…a visiting American tourist by the name of Stanley Ipkiss?
The comic book version or the movie version, with or without the comic book Mask or the movie Mask?

Plus why would Misato find the civilian sus?

you could see the (initial versions) yourself if ya want Well, in the specific scenario that led to the question...a combination of the character's name (Woz) and insistent use of it despite giving a "fake name" (Keisuke Watanabe...aka Woz's irl actor), how he says he's taking care of Shinji when she hasn't been told at all about someone besides him coming along, aaand...the character unintentionally egging her. I thought those factors would have Misato question why this man was with Shinji.

If you crossed NGE with an isekai webtoon, I imagine it would look something like this.
...Okay, two things:
1) Is it wrong that i want a full series like this?
2) Is it a bad sign for the Asuka of canon if i see this comic version of her as more mentally healthy then said canon Asuka, despite her acting more then a little...out-there(though i can't really say she's crazy oddly enough. Honestly she seems more mentally healthy then everyone else in Eva canon, minus Maya).

---update---
Okay, i just read through the whole thing and yes, i want a full series. That last page was heartwarming as @#$%, and honestly a wonderful reversal to canon.

The scanlation of the comic started over at subreddit Asushin. Belongs to Twitter artist niku_kai
Most of this thread is right up there with layering in some competent romantic pairing, though I wonder what set Asuka down this darkadorkable path, if not the same for-want-of-a element that began A&T.

Oh my gosh that is a very accurate description and im mad i didn't think that when i read a crap ton of reincarnation and/or isekai romance manhwa

My "what if" brain is filing through the possibilities
Like maybe it's a personality swap switch au where everyone's personalities are swapped
or maybe asuka is like this is because while her dad might be a jerk but her step mom actually was nice and she clung onto her and said step mom happens to be a hopeless romantic (who constantly excuses asuka's dad bad actions) and that's why she's obssessed like this
...
Ok imma stop there i have enough ideas as is
And this is one i'm not even sure i'd do as much as my isekai romance manhwa loving self wants to try at it for the funsies

The end makes me smile like a dork, it's so adorable! Good eating.

Now I wonder what we'd get if it were 'Evangelion If It Was Twin Peaks'…

Now I'm really tempted to binge all of Twin Peaks just so I can have the full context to make this fic happen.

Now that I'm winding down my fic and have enough time to spare, I'm about to finally start a re-read of Advice and Trust. It just hit me that this September will mark A&T's TENTH anniversary! Here's hoping we see some updates from Stryp in time for the occasion.
