Asuka: But it is more efficient, besides, we don't have access to Siberia
Rei: You could make the argument that it takes a special kind of people and history to come into possession of that region. But besides, what is also true is that your Heidelberg physics curriculum, my bookshelf and yours happen to have suspiciously many books by people with names like Lev Landau, Igor Shafarevich and Vladimir Arnold. In fact, the first you must be really fond of, given the presence of the original Russian edition of the second volume of his course on theoretical physics.

I am going by the Hangover idea of Rei being invested into Russian culture and using a bit of my personal patriotism here. I also think its in character for Rei to be fond of a good deal of Russian things.

Here is a costume related question. For the Pilot 4 and their friends, which phantom thief outfits from Persona 5 suite each of them?

I agree with that. Here are some others I thought up.

Toji-Skull
Rei-Queen
Asuka-Panther

Asuka, being a giant nerd in the Strypgia-verse, will be whoever she ships Joker with.

Thus, it'll be whoever the writer ships with Joker. If said girl is Queen or Noir, then Rei/Kaworu takes Panther's place.

Rei: "Wait, but what if it's Noir?"
Did I fucking stutter, Rei?

Also Ritsuko is Tae okay bye.

Asuka: "Shinji calls dibs on Joker"
Shinji: "What? But I was-"
Asuka: "Shinji. Calls. Dibs. On. Joker."
Kaworu: "I wanted to be Haru anyway"

So that means if it was me, Shinji's Joker and Asuka's Panther then. :V

or asuka is crow but by a technicality i ship akechi with fem!akira that has at this point is also half-genderbent-Joker, half-oc for me, kinda like minako herself, so that ship kinda sorta doesn't count and kinda sorta also does depending on how you view my akira as either one side or both. :V

Okay kinda more seriously...

Shinji - Joker
Asuka - whoever you ship joker with Panther/Queen/Noir (what? Noir has an axe, okay? and really all the girls but oracle are pretty "bloodthirsty" so yeah)
Rei - Violet/Fox (mostly in reference to her art skills in The 2nd Try, buy it kinda works since Yusuke's blue haired and stoic :V)
Kaworu - Crow (both white and black)/Fox
Toji - Skull
Hikari - Queen
Kensuke - Mona (i blame ultra sonic 007 for thinking of kensuke as a magician, ok? :V)/Oracle

Maya - p5acau!yoshida/titan/p5acau!chihaya/sibylNoir (becauae cinnamon roll? idk she seems that way to me in Advice & Trust)
Ritsuko - p5 adult confidant au!tae/docOracle
Misato - p5acau!ohya/scout/p5acau!kawakami/madamePanther/Skull/Queen
Kaji - p5acau!sojiro/bossCrow (more white than black)/Queen

I was tempted to give Gendo "Maruki's" outfit or even p5!acau!takuo/rook because of, y'know, the Treasure of Maruki's Palace...but that would mean associating Gendo, who is typically a terrible person, with Maruki, who is typically just a hurting person legitimately thinking he's doing good, so no. :V

Haven't played AM2R yet, but I have to give credit to whoever did the sound design for that scene. The X parasite infecting that thing just sounded gross.

And I'm not sure the X would trigger her that bad. I mean, they're bad, and devastated all life on a single planet in a matter of hours, but they're not soul-fuckery bad.

Plus, if I'm remembering correctly, the X are just a natural evolution that got out of hand(as best we know; I don't think we ever got any real origin for the X). They're still a part of nature, even though they're a danger to literally everything.

Ironically, I think she'd take more offense at the Metroids, since they were bioengineered specifically as a weapon, even if one of the original purposes for them was containment of the X.

(Incidentally, Dread is fucking amazing.)

I have a question in regards to the chronicles timeline. We saw that Rei becomes wrathful of the desecration of souls. I wonder what else would enrage her in that manner.

maybe the villain group from persona trinity soul considering their main threat to others is the fact that they take other people's personas...aka they take a part of the soul of another person...to absorb it into their own, usually kills the persona whose persona was stolen...not that it ends well for them in the long run so i guess rei won't get that mad since they get their comeuppance. :V

though saying that makes me curious what she would think of shin kanzato since his persona's special ability is to "get rid of" personas...or rather "slice off" personas without killing them.

don't ask me how that works without killing the persona user. it just does and it's that power that ultimately stops the "final boss". :V i assumed it's partially because the villain group's personas are "unnatural" personas anyway

The concept of Soul Gems in The Elder Scrolls might concern her a little :V
Yes I know it's been a while, I blame Breath of the Wild and shift work on the delay :p

Wait a second I just realized Dark Souls in general could also be concerning for Rei.

Maybe.

Depends on what she thinks of souls as "currency" and being "consumed" for stats.

"...so the souls of my offspring are not only used like yen, but as the equivalent of pocky?!?"

"Careful Rei, your Progenitor of Mankind is showing...also, you're glowing. You might want to stop."

"And why should I do that, Fish?"

"Because if what Asuka has taught me about gaming logic is true, you'll only inspire multiple players to try and take you down due to looking like a boss character."

"..."

"I wonder how much they'd think the soul of LILITH would go for? Hypothetically speaking, of course."

"..."

"Maybe it would be the key to a super-powerful endgame item-?"

"Please stop talking."

"I'm just saying-"

"You are currently part of the problem."

I suppose it depends on how closely she interprets the meaning of "soul". Technically, Black Soul Gems are the only ones that can hold sapient humanoid souls.

As for Dark Souls, it might be a bit distressing to see what became of the titular Dark Soul, especially since I believe the canonical last ending is essentially a fight between the last two remaining people, at the end of all worlds, over the last remnants of the Dark Soul, to decide who gets to paint a new world with it.

Of course, that might arguably still be better than Bloodborne, whose endings can be summarized as Blue Pill, Eldritch Slave, and Worm, if you're being funny.

R: "You know how when they say you're part of the help or part of the problem? Well, they were talking about you!"

*punts Kaworu through a tree*

K: "...ow."

R: "There. Now you're part of the solution."
FM was the first thing to come to mind when I read that last line. :p

I don't know if the Soul Cairn would make it better or worse for Rei.

Well, probably worse, because that whole thing was kind of messed up, though you could get Arvak out of it, who is indeed such a good horse.

Still, the souls there are basically just trapped and lost in it, not, y'know, being maimed in active torture constantly.

Or at least that's what I remember of it (didn't go there much). I just remember it was creepy, the Invisible Masters (EDIT: just checked, they are knows as "Ideal Masters") are (probably) assholes, the dragon (EDIT: "Durnehviir" is his name) is kind of a bro, you had to be vampire or semi-undead to get inside, and Serana's mother was there.
