If you want to talk, you need to either restrain her or let her go first.

Onmur, you sneaky bastard.
Hmm. Do you think it would work?

Why sneaky? I believe I'm the first one to have proposed the idea to let Hijiri go.

As a joke, because I believe Hijiri is a danger to the people around her, and then letting her go means putting other people in danger.

I had that idea that if Mami's Ribbon survives Hijiri's escape, we could still easily track her that way, but I'm still not sure.

So I don't think it will work well enough; I'm voting for gemming, at least for now. Maybe tomorrow people will bring up better ideas.

i'm not sold on telling Hijiri that we're wishborn. It's the mostly likely origin for us but I'd feel a lot better about it if we'd at least attempted to falsify that theory. That'd be one hell of a blow back.

We kind of don't really have a choice, imo; the alternative is basically signing Hijiri's death warrant. And honestly, we A) Have no real way to falisify it, B) have no other alternative hypothesis, and C) No matter what our origin is, I'll bet my ass a wish of some kind is responsible, because come on.

'Just go, Hijiri. I'm s-'

'Oh well, now I don't want to go.'

Hijiri immediately pulls an u-turn and lands back on her seat, arms crossed and looking petulantly to the side.

Sabrina blinks a few times. "Well, I'm glad! Would you help, then?"

"Never!" Yells Hijiri, pointing her hands at Sabrina's face, arms crackling with magic.

The white haired girl sighs. "Very well. Want to hurt me? Do it, then, and you'll-"

"Pfft," the magic disperses immediately, "why would I do that?" asks Hijiri, rolling her eyes.

"..."

Mami's hand wraps itself around Sabrina's then, giving it a comforting squeeze. Sabrina smiles at the blonde, who returns the smile... rather dubiously, throwing cautious looks the... prisoner?

Sabrina licks her lips, thinking. "Hold o-" she interrupts herself as Hijiri's head snaps, a glare in her yellow eyes, "don't- I mean..." Sabrina trails off.

Instead, she looks aside, one eye closed, points a finger at the Grief ship's wall and makes a 'shooting' motion.

"What did you do?" startles Hijiri.

"Just bought ourselves some time," cheefully explains Sabrina, ignoring Mirai's telepathic 'Holy shit you just killed her!'.

"So," Sabrina says, turning to Mami, whose mouth is hanging open. The foreign girl leans into the blonde's ear and whispers something reassuring; Mami nods into her shoulder, and when they separate, she firmly tucks herself into Sabrina's side.

"So," repeats Sabrina, turning back to Hijiri. "What do you say we don't go back to the Pleiades, we don't apologize for our behavior, and we don't talk things through?"

"Bah," Hijiri shrugs, "I'd rather do all of those things, I mean, why not?"

"That's terrible," says Sabrina, re-starting the Mobile Oppression Fortress.

"The worst," agrees Mami, shuffling herself onto Sabrina's lap.

Needless to say, it was a very confusing conversation all the girls had afterwards.

And everything ended well.

Because nobody cares about Anri.

It should be fairly easy to falsify. Find out if anyone matching our description has been reported missing. We've been around long enough for anyone that cares to have reported us and for that information to have been disseminated.

Well, technically even if we did all that, it wouldn't prove things one way or another. But also, even if we physically existed, Sabrina the Magical Girl essentially is a walk-in. Whoever existed before is gone and we're a divine emissary body-jacking some dying chick.

A foreign girl going missing in Japan is likely to be considerably bigger news than just a random disappearance, especially when there's already been a well-publicized case of someone going missing recently. I would note, we did hear about that case, and you'd think if we had gone missing, it would have at least been mentioned during the story we saw that there was another case with a person-of-interest the same age and gender.

If we tell Hijiri we're made by a wish for a purpose, she's gonna want to know who's wish. So are Mami and Sayaka. We promised Homura not to talk about the loops without permission.

"I don't have full memory of it, so I'm not sure of all the details. But I think...someone wished for everything to be fixed. They died shortly thereafter, so...I was created to carry that on for them, I think. I had all this knowledge I shouldn't have. Maybe it's their memories, or something the wish gave me so I could fulfill it. And...along with that, I have this burning desire to help everyone. Every Magical Girl. No matter who they are, or what they've done. I have to help them. It's the absolute core of who I am. There's more to that, now..." Snuggle Mami. "But...it's not something I'll ever turn my back on."

Feasibly, we can conclude that Wishing was involved somehow with a pretty high probability even without what Homura told us.
We woke up in a dark alley, puking our guts out, not remembering anything aside from a huge pile of information about girls we haven't met before. Right before the Incubator who contracted us, mind you. Oh, and it seems nobody reported us to the police or anything.

Edit: I meant, we can convince someone that the Wish was involved.

She has antimagic that can disperse our grief to limp gas mode.

Does it? I didn't think she actually managed to hit us. When she hit the already gaseous stuff, it went numb, but it didn't change state or anything. Just creating a box might be enough that if she anti-magics it, it will still stay solid.

Kazumi's anti-magic beam is powerful enough to basically vaporize Witches, we can't hold her with grief walls.

Ah. No, I was talking about casually dropping that we hoped we've met someone like us.
That's sneaky. You Mr McSneakyPants, you.

Ah, okay, if it can vaporize witches, a box probably won't be enough. It does seem like our only options then would be gem her or (sort-of) let her go, and gemming her might cause irreparable damage. It would be nice if we could be sure Mami still had the ribbon, that changing to lightning wouldn't get her free from that.

I think gemming Anri is the best answer there, though.
