I find it amusing how close these two posts are to each other. :V

The Conga's not done until Onmur votes for whoever was last for real and blows the system though. Tally seems to be handling the silly up until now, but I have no idea how it will interpret a ring of votes.

I disagree. Finding personal happiness is something each person has to do for themselves. There's literally nothing we can tell Homura that'll make her happy; what we can be is someone who'll listed to her, and give her more perspective.

She asked how we manage to be happy, because she wants to be as well, so we told her how we do. We can try and give her perspective on how Madoka, Sayaka, Mami, etc., manage to be happy in their lives (though it would be better if Homura could ask them herself), and try and help her see herself in a better light than she does. There's not much else we can do that we aren't already doing; Homura has to find her own happiness by herself.

Our answer last time was pretty damn on the spot. It just requires follow up, again and again.

Before changing my vote, I was voting to ask Homura what she was thinking; 'she deserves it' is just a prompt, and what's important is hearing Homura's thoughts, so she can have a chance to express herself, and then we can try an answer her concerns. Or maybe just listening to her would be good enough! Baby steps.

I'm new here; I'm not sure what you meant by 'pushy on the joke', but I'm going to guess that maybe putting vote items in quotes means we want Sabrina to say them literally. That wasn't what I intended, so let me change my vote a little:

Uh, well, quote marks are actually used exactly for that in votes.

What I mean is, we brought up the Sayaka=angel thing as a joke, and it'd be weird if we insisted on it. We want to somehow prod Sayaka into revealing herself as an angel if she was one, but the chances of that are so low, we will most likely end up with Sayaka being annoyed at our brain damaged if we push on the Sayaka=angel thing too much.

What I envision for when we get Sayaka into the Privacy Sphere is more... ask her if she wants to tell us anything, in confidence? I'm not sure we'll actually say anything more about the Law of Cycles... Not sure what the rest of the thread thinks.

Yeah, I don't think we can push Homura into being happy. Besides being something of an oxymoron in itself, we're mostly happy because it's hard to depress a large group of people for extended amounts of time without going to literally Hitler extremes like genocides and such. Resiliency in numbers and stuff. Homura can't really do that, and shouldn't, because that would give her brain damage both literal and memetic.

Rather, we have to give her the tools to discover for herself what it means to be happy. We can point her in a right direction, but we can't take her there and make her drink. All we can do is tell her that her happiness most likely lies between Madoka and her, and she should care about both parts of that relationship. She has to accept herself as well as Madoka or she'll never achieve Nirvana.
 
Let's not get so caught up in trying to break the tally that we forget to refine the vote.

For whatever reason, the tally is showing your vote as lacking the extra line that Matou put on their vote (the "Heal Hitomi" one), replacing instead with your "in timestop" addition. Not really sure why.

I forgot to include "heal Hitomi" in mine, fixing that now.

Delegated votes automatically update if the person you named as your representative changes their vote.

If you like a vote as it currently is and don't want to automatically approve changes, you need to copy-paste it in its entirety instead of just namevoting the current vote holder.

That said, doing that makes it much harder for common-sense updates as discussion brings up new points to occur, so in PMAS, the general vote climate discourages that.

but I have two questions:

1) It's late and it's abut time for them to leave, I know you already healed Hitomi's arm a little, but can we finish the job fast enough without time stop? or is just better to do it this way because it weirds hitomi out?

2) Regarding the tally program: Wikidor changed their vote, Matou voted for them and added something and I voted for Matou and added something too; if I didn't change my vote, would it have stayed the same or the first part would have changed?

I'm not certain, but I seem to recall that when Mami's arm got broken in the fight with Oriko, we were able to heal it fairly quickly. Hitomit's fracture is fairly minor, so it seems like something that shouldn't take too long to heal. Especially with seven MGs working in tandem.

First part would have changed, I think. It would go to look up Matou's vote, which would send it to look up Wiki's newest vote.

So something unrelated: Kagari Hinata.

The one girl who's so totally EVIL she dedicates her life to fucking up Suzune's life, to the point of plotting her own Witch out... because.

I remember talks about how, since she's got OP HAX memory magic, and is shown to be absurdly, irredeemable EVIL, she was the one meguca that should be killed on sight, without giving her a chance to do anything.

Later, I re-read the Suzune manga and I thought she could be managed with a lot of care (and immediate Gemming).

Now my new thoughts:

One is that, if we actually can get ourselves some decent mind magic protections, the whole point is moot, and we can just Gem Hinata safely, no problem.

Two is that we want to recruit Mikoto to our cause, and she would totally not be kosher about killing a girl she helped raise.

So... Uhm...

If we can keep Mikoto from witching out, them Kagari has no reason to to make the wish that turned her into a supervillain.

We need to get in touch with her and get her gem clean ASAP.
