"These clothes..." whispers the white haired girl, holding the shirt with reverence.

"Is there something... wrong with them?"

"They're my perfect size!" exclaims Sabrina.

"... So?" blinks Mami.

"That means it was probably mom who had them tailor-made for me," nods Sabrina, "because she would, unlike mom, who would rather go clothes shopping, in which case she'd have picked these out of a rack. No, it was definitely mom who bought me these."

"Silly Sabrina, you're like the puddle who thinks the hole it's in was made to fit it."

"Wait, what are you saying?"

"You're obviously that size because whoever wished you into existence had that sized clothes lying around!"

Mami could easily not have control over her bank account in favor of a relative
I suspect we'd have heard about this. Also that Mami would have had significantly more trouble taking us clothes shopping. Also that it would've meant that Mami would've had a goddamn relative involved with her life closely enough to be involved with finances like that, which is certainly not the case. AND that Mami would have had a relative to go to when her parents died! No, this is not easy. At all.

As for the things like bitcoin, who's to say that they don't already know about that? Math education in PMMM is way further forward than IRL and math overall would necessarily follow it; I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that PMMM's global financial industry has replaced things like ACH with a blockchain-like scheme. Not necessarily bitcoin, but something with the same guarantees.

As for Tesla, PMMM probably switched to EVs and a solar+storage grid decades ago.

We don't need to convince her to be happy, wanting to be happy is why she asked in the first place. This is just piling extra unhelpfulness on top of our original unhelpful answer.
?

We need to hear her thoughts about it. Be someone she can talk about this with.

If Homura feels like opening up, I'd expect a cut to voting, because that's likely not an easy conversation for Brina pilot to handle.

Alternately, the pause and realization was either one of normal-Sayaka or angel-Sayaka considering the implications of
1. "I know what happens when you wish for healing magic"
2. Sabrina intervened to avoid Sayaka /needing/ to wish for healing magic, why?
3. Healing Magic Wish /went badly?/
And not about pausing to remember that she ever had the powers.

Clearly, we need to have an answer ready when Sayaka asks what happens if she gets healing powers. An answer besides "You get depressed in short order and turn into a witch." Sooner or later, she's going to want to know why Sabrina stepped in to change the course of her fate.

I propose the following:

1. You didn't actually have healing, you had complete control of biology at touch range.
2. For a while, you used it for miraculous healing, except you wisely wouldn't mess with brains.
3. Except you fell in love with Hitomi.
4. Eventually, you broke down and used your biology powers to rewire Hitomi into a lesbian who was hot for you.
5. Everyone found this really upsetting.
6. Then, for some reason, you turned her into a shoggoth.

One Lie Detector session will be wholly insufficient to satisfy/ease Homura's near-decade long build up of trauma and paranoia re: Oriko and Kirika, imo.
As I've said before, it will remove her rational basis for her fears. That will allow us to make progress. It won't solve everything immediately.

And it isn't a decade-long build-up. It was one loop. Every loop after that, they were never a threat, and after a few loops, she stopped even bothering with them.

Had a thought. Or remembered something. Whatever.

[X] Ask Mrs. Shizuki what their company does, for the purposes of thinking how your powers could be applied.

[X] Before going, ask Homura about practicing enchantment in timestop.
-[X] If she agrees, schedule some... nightly sessions? Morning sessions? Whenever she prefers. Leave open the possibility of other people joining, to practice or just hang out.

[X] Hug everyone goodbye.
[X] When you get home, check your old clothes for anything weird, and ask Mami if she did.

I'm imagining Homura trying to focus on practicing an enchantment while Madoka leans over her shoulder, first going 'ohhhh' and 'ahhhh'... then being critical, and Homu being her usual awkward self. :p

The non-spoilered part of the wiki works here. Makes it sound like the resolution of the love triangle is the bad end result.
Sayaka is a bit tomboyish and acts heroic. She is devoted to her friends, especially when she makes the contract right away and saves Madoka. She has a large girlish side in that she loves classical music, and is very interested in romance. Sayaka seems to have had an extremely black-and-white and idealistic vision of love, which seems to have contributed to her breakdown. After learning the truth about the Magical Girl contract, she felt that she could no longer approach him, and this wasn't helped by Kamijou's obliviousness to her feelings and Hitomi's more assertive behavior that ended up with Hitomi becoming Kamijou's girlfriend, unaware of Sayaka's problem.

Alternatively, describe Sayaka Quest to make her training extra awkward.

I don't know. The advantage of the Shoggoth Love Slave explanation is that no one will want to ask for more details. Hopefully.

Or we could just tell her that it resulted in her going full LAW and murdering two blokes before falling into a depression and dying. Ya know, what actually happened in PMMM?

No reason to lie when we can just chop a bit of the end off and tell the rest. The only thing she doesn't need to know is the part about witches - without it, it sounds like she committed suicide, which will make it easy for us to "not want to talk about it" and also serve as a reminder that we're here to make things better because shit sucked in the original.

So we've had dinner, it's late, do we need to do anything else after checking the old clothes, besides making sure Kazumi, Kaoru and Umika can use the guest room, and going to sleep?

And besides doing something about getting those timestop enchantment practice sessions going.

Has it really though? It's still more a limited novelty rather than a mainstay investment, and is unlikely (imo) to ever move beyond that.
Sort of. Bitcoin is rather unreliable, as it tends to vary wildly in value even from week to week, but the general trend in Bitcoin value is pretty strongly upwards. For example, 1 bitcoin was worth about $1 US in early 2011. As of late Sept. 2017, 1 bitcoin is worth about $4000 US, so it would certainly be a good idea to invest in bitcoin in 2011 IRL. However, this is not our world, so I can't say the same here. As others have said, various cryptocurrencies may already be the norm in this world. Or maybe cryptocurrencies failed entirely, who knows.

Well, that was fuzzy.

[ ] Assign Hitomi official Sayaka tending duty.
-[ ] Sayaka is so much less dumb with her around, it's a miracle!
They're basically a married couple, they just haven't realised it yet, come on, it's so OBVIOUS, why won't anyone listen!?

(But it would be cute... :V)

Wishing requires karmic potential, though. You'd think someone whose greatest wish is accounting would be disqualified by default.

Number Girl: "Aaaaah, I'm late, I'm late, I'm laaaaate! I just wish Boston roads weren't such a clusterfuck!"
Incubator: "Pleasure doing business with you!"

[X] Ask Mrs. Shizuki what their company does, for the purposes of thinking how your powers could be applied.

Generally liking all this, but a suggestion:
I think something that goes in the direction of securing a future meeting would be a more valuable line to pursue than what kind of business they are. If it's mentioned without prompting, fine, but I it looks better if we just Google it later or privately ask Hitomi. Business people like when you do your homework.

"By the way, Mrs. Shizuki, would you and your husband have time later this week to meet over lunch and discuss our broader goals and how our organisations can help each other? *out comes the day planner* Looks like I'm all booked for Tuesday and only have Wednesday early morning, but I've got a lot of openings on Thursday and Friday is wide open."

Then we need to sit down in the next two days and draft a business plan. Who do we know that might be able to help with that? (Given past trends, I half expect business development to be part of the usual middle school curriculum.)
[X] Before going, ask Homura about practicing enchantment in timestop.
Maybe suggest a longer-range field trip and do that in parallel? Heck, could do it right now if she's up for it.

Save Oriko for another day, though. I feel bad for them, but we can't just badger Homura constantly and expect it to change. Maybe we should consult Hitomi for advice on how to approach this one... she knows the whole story but she's also damn good at catching important nuances.

    [X] Hug everyone goodbye.
[X] When you get home, check your old clothes for anything weird, and ask Mami if she did.
[X] It's not urgent. You can wait to enlighten them until Madoka is free of distraction.
    - [x] Ask about metabombing Sayaka and Hitomi
    - [X] You don't feel good about keeping it a secret. And you feel Sayaka would be angry at you for keeping secrets again.
    - [X] Now is an opportune time to do it because we're all here, but you'd like to do it ASAP regardless.
    - [X] Ask if Homura would rather we use a privacy sphere, given her power & Sayaka's copying.
[x] Before the TS ends, make sure Homura's holding up alright.
[X] Metabomb, if agreed. Make sure everyone involved knows to how to keep this a secret.
[x] Talk to Sayaka privately. You've been wondering if she's been hit by a similar, if perhaps less conscious, version of your metaknowledge. Offer to see if you can jog her memory.
[x] When we have a moment, not urgent, just everyone is in one place and you wanted to get the ball rolling on some stuff.
[x] Get Kazumi and Sayaka to copy the privacy sphere.
-[x] Joke about naming it. Information warfare is warfare, after all, and the privacy sphere is a powerful attack.
[x] In privacy sphere: Homura timestop so you have more time.
-[x] Wanted to share your metaknowledge around more. You still don't feel good about keeping it a secret.
-[x] Hitomi, Sayaka, maybe the Asunarians.
-[x] Either tonight, with everyone here and the privacy sphere already up, or maybe another day?
[x] Check if anyone has anything they want to talk about themselves.
[x] Hold Homura for a second afterward in TS, make sure she's still doing okay.
[x] Pull Sayaka into the privacy sphere and find out if she's Rebellion-aware.
[X] Not exactly now, but sometime before everyone splits up.
-[X] Once that happens, Privacy implements for extra security.
-[X] Discuss metabombing Sayaka and Hitomi
-[X] If everyone agrees, pull one or both into the conversation
-[X] Metabomb them. Make sure they know not to discuss outside of timestop or without privacy constructs from you or another magical girl.
-[X] While in there, no point in not having a meeting about what you discussed with Hitomi's mother.
-[X] Add in that you've been pondering making a business deal with the Shizuki's for a while now, and go over what you might do to earn your money. What do the Shizuki's do for a living, as a family?
[X] If everything goes smoothly, dissolve privacy constructs and then drop timestop.
[X] Thank Homura for being so accommodating with your use of her power. You really appreciate how much she puts into your relationship.
[X] Head back to Mami's place with the Pleiades, chatting amicably
[X] Offer your condolences. Tsuchiya Ritsuko is almost certainly dead, or she would be famous by now for living so long.
-[X] As far as we know, Hitomi is not a potential. We've involved her at all to prevent exactly Mrs. Shizuki just described.
[X] Mami has homework, ask if Mrs. Shizuki is opposed to the content of the conversation so far being "public" so Mami has a response to "what was that about?" You'd like to give Mrs. Shizuki the broad strokes of the current situation, go over w. Mami what you're expecting to talk about -- none of it is anything she's unaware of. If you tackle these separately now, you can spend more time together later, yeah?
[X] Explain briefly: the masquerade, soul gems (lichbomb + need for grief seeds), Walpurgisnacht, your powers, the expected influx of meguca.
-[X] Disaster insurance might not be a bad idea.
    [x] Now
    - [x] Ask about metabombing Sayaka and Hitomi
    - [x] All relevant points. Answer all questions they have
    - [x] At Mami's home as soon as convenient bluntly over tea
[X] Find out the status of Tsuchiya Ritsuko from Kyuubey, later.
[X] At some point, sing only my railgun
-[X] Ask Homura to pull you, Mami, and Madoka into a private conversation as soon as it's convenient.
-[X] Whenever she does, bring up metabombing Sayaka and Hitomi. You'd rather not keep hiding things for long...
    [X] Homework session.
-[X] Help Mami with her homework.
-[X] Get Homura to help the others.
-[X] Ask Umika about her writing.
-[x] If Hitomi's parents aren't around, talk to Kazumi and suggest idea's about her 'grief' manipulation. (To be done out doors obviously)
[X] Get decision paralysis and let Mami do the talking
[X] "We aren't the first Magical Girls you've known, are we?" Find out what she knows, but don't probe too hard.
[X] Confirm that you are magical girls, along with everyone but Madoka and Hitomi--though you hope it stays that way. Hitomi doesn't have the potential to become a magical girl, either. Madoka and Hitomi are both in the know, too.
[X] Address her concerns, and reassure her.
-[X] Strength, experience, and capability of your team.
-[X] Your specific power (Grief control)
-[X] Hitomi linked by telepathy, able to call for help at any time
-[X] Hitomi shows no desire or potential to contract.
[X] If the opportunity arises, bring up the subject of the incoming meguca refugees/immigrants, and the need to house them all.
[X] Sober up. This is serious, yet good.
    -[X] Step 1: Invite
    --[X] Confirm her suspicions
--[X] Offer to explain as best as you can.
--[X] Warn that some topics are sensitive, and why
    -[X] Step 2: Inform
--[X] Besides the obvious dangers (fighting witches), being a magical girl has hidden dangers, and we want to dissuade Contracts.
--[X] Segue to Hitomi not being a potential, and explain the first hidden danger: "Grief" is literal.
---[X] Subtly apologize to Mami, and explain that you've been planning to tell adults about magic for many reasons, this foremost.
--[X] Connect the resource-management of Grief to Witches, and the second hidden danger: Scarcity.
--[X] Lead into our powers (and those of the team)
    --[X] Walpurgisnacht.
    -[X] Step 3: Inspire
--[X] Discuss what we want to accomplish once the immediate problems are resolved.
--[X] Make sure to stay away from the Lichbomb, Witchbomb, etc.
---[X] ...but try and set up an opportunity to talk with her in a context where we can discuss them (and other heavy topics).
    [X] Fight...
    -[X] Full force
    --[X] Swipe the Keychain
    [X] After training...
-[X] Bring up the Nakano thing
    -[X] Head back
    -[X] Karaoke!
    [x] Hug Sayaka.
    - [X] Apologize about how your no good at helping with this type of stuff... really you and social have issues with each other.
    - [X]I cannot make you believe you are useful Sayaka. I can assure you and assuage your doubts all day. I can list everything you can do, and could do and explain how much better your doing then most new girls - I could make graphs if you wanted to, in color. In the end though the choice of belief is with you. But let me tell you something, while it may be true that we can't tell with surety how useful, how great or how well you will act until that moment comes when the chips are down and everything balances on your actions. I don't think, I don't believe you will have an issue in that moment because you took on this mantle of Puella Magi knowing about its costs, its truths and when you offered up your soul for a wish you did not wish for money, or power - you wished to help your friends. That is why I believe you are and will be 'useful' Sayaka, because you are a good person, and a good friend and most puella magi would take a good friend in this line of work over all the combat support in the world.
    - [X] Now... Karaoke
    - [X] With Mami hugs
    [x] Microwave some tea
[X] Double dose of Brain Damage, stat
    [x] Ask Sayaka to elaborate.
    [X] Null
    [x] Microwaved some tea
-[x] Double dose of Brain damage
[X] we should have the "take care of yourself more" talk with Kazumi.
-[X] we can tell her she was way too close to over-griefing
-[X] we can cite our precog or our own Grief manipulation skills for how we know this
-[X] key point: your people depend on you, Kazumi, and if you fall it will hurt them badly
-[X] do it in timestop because Homura could use a reminder of this too
[X] drop hints back at Sayaka about her being an angel
-[X] "Walking Madoka home? You can be her guardian angel for the evening!"
[x] Try on the skinny jeans.
