[X] Godwinson

Because if mocking Walpurgisnacht is "lol randumb", then what is making a reference to an anime that doesn't come out for a year?

The Walpurgisnacht thing was in a previous vote, that called for Sabrina to fly to the meeting upside down.
That earlier bit is exactly what I meant; "Fly in upside-down" didn't register as being Walpy at all to me, and it definitely wouldn't to our audience, so we're just flying around because we can, which... isn't that interesting?

It would've been interesting to see Homura's reaction if Kazusa went and told everyone about it during lunch.

Making it older than the person you're expecting to have read it. Not much better.

Jojo is extremely well permeated into japanese pop culture, man, and has been going continually since it first came out. It was referenced non-stop even before the current running anime.

Saying that a Japanese media consumer wouldn't recognize the reference because it's too old is like saying an American 14 year old wouldnt recognize Batman.

I wouldn't expect an American 14 year old to recognize a specific Batman comic from 1992, no.

Jojo is one continuous narrative, broken up into arcs, while western comics are...less so.

Also Dio is, like, one of the most famous and most referenced parts of Jojo, and heaven's door is from the most popular part in japan. Both of these get constant references in other media. They would likely know what these are from sheer pop cultural osmosis.

One of her attack names is a blatantly obvious shout-out to "The X-Files", which aired in 1993.

If you think this Japanese teenager, nerdy enough to make pop-culture references on her attack names, knows more about niche American TV shows from before her time than about one of the modern Japanese cultural touchstones, I have a bridge to sell you.

I think Sabrina's Stand would be this:

After all, she stands by her friends. She stands by Mami.
