@Briefvoice it's a bit nitpicky, but I think the explorer, if it's going to be named after Kirk, should have his full name on it. It was also, after all, how he introduced himself half the time.

Edit: My thoughts here are generally, go big or go home.

The problem is that there wasn't any real competition offered against SWB's Ambassador. There were only two alternatives, Lightweight Amby and Lightweight Amby 2, and the first only received one nomination. LA2 did slightly better with three nominations but even then no one really supported it. The only reason LA2 was even invented was to try and offer some competition.

So it's not unreasonable for Oneiros to look at those results and decide to skip the vote this time.

BTW if I were a speciest Councillor, this would be worrying me. Sulu may be incredibly popular, but I'd hardly be surprised if an Andorian Councillor or two would grumble.

No, that is when those two berths finish. Since new yards take 3 years and we order them at a snakepit they always finish Q2. Also if you don't want Kirk as a name I suggest adding a name vote.

I edited in my Heavy Ambassador vote and also why I'm voting like I am. Biggest deal.. a 3.0 mt hull offers the most upgrade. Phaser arrays will be out before you know it, and we can't put them on the light ambassador.

What swings me over to the heavy Ambassador is UPGRADE POTENTIAL and BUILD TIME. The Light Ambassador has no upgrade potential... we won't be able to refit phaser arrays on it without taking something else off. The Medium Ambassador has an unacceptably high build time compared to the heavy.

Isn't one of them still active? Why would now be a good time? It's been a while since I checked the website so I don't know their current status other than one of them is dead now and the other is still moving.

Edit: Epona is a good name. And no I am not going to stop until we have a federation starship named Epona.
