TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands.
To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.
I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.
I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.
I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all.
I think it should be fine. Originally the pitch was an arcade because they had more power and memory, but since we have the suped up Genesis now, I figure the game can run in it.
Huh, I could have sworn this was meant to be a Genesis game. It might work better for the Genesis because you can play endless sessions and I just don't see the draw of Among Us Arcade where kids have to stand in place for 10-20 minutes playing a deduction game. Although now that I think about it, can Among Us work well on the Genesis? Maybe we can also release it as an Apple game.

Now for my question. Who wants to cure Gilbert Gottfried's recurrent ventricular tachycardia, complicated by type II myotonic dystrophy? When do people want to get started on that? By which year in this quest?
Wasnt the Among Us pitch for arcade because it's more feasible to do multiplayer that way?
I dont even think the TVs are big enough to support anything more than 2 players, and 2 is already pushing it i think.
Im thinking we sell the arcade cabinets as a discounted set and make it so they're covered or isolated so players dont realize the guy playing in the Among Us cab right next to them is the impostor.
Unless we somehow have multiplayer across different consoles available to us?
"Good to see you back stateside Bruce, the boys at Marvel were starting to get worried we were gonna have to send GI Joe to extract you." Joked Stan Lee who was greeting Bruce in his office in an April morning.
"Good to be back Stan, word of advice, don't ever do any projects in Italy, use that country as the absolute last choice if you must."
"Darn, I was looking forward to filming the Pizzaman series next year." Stan joked, although considering how wacky comics could get, Bruce was unsure on if there was a legit Pizzaman.
The two media giants hadn't met for nearly a year with Bruce busy filming, then focusing on family time while Stan was overseeing executive production of Daredevil and Luke Cage and New York, Jim Shooter with the comics there, and making the occasional trip to Japan to check in on Marvel's business there. It was honestly a shame as Bruce liked Stan the man, his rather jovial personality lighting up the room wherever he went.
"How's your little ducks doing? Your oldest still a Superman fangirl?" Steve asked as he sat down.
"Yeah, no matter what I try to do she'll always remain committed to her first loves, Kermit and Superman." You say with an exaggerated sigh. You honestly didn't really mind too much as Superman was a great role model, but it was a bit frustrating Mary didn't love your on-screen characters like Wally's love of all things Star Wars.
"Well they're both pretty good looking guys so I can't blame her." Stan joked, making you laugh.
"Actually, while I was gonna apparently Mary started reading Fantastic Four and binged through most of the comics. I'm pretty sure Byrne's run is her favorite of the current comics." You informed, making Stan adopt a wide smile.
"Really? Well that's great! What does she like best about the team, what's her favorite parts?" Stan asked with heavy interest. Considering he and Jack Kirby made their big break with the Fantastic Four, hearing his boss' daughter loved the characters would peak interest.
You leaned back and thought of the discussions you had with Mary, "Well, she really loves how the team is a family and how they interact with each other. She also likes Reed and Sue's relationship, Mary HATES how a lot of superheroes are single and relationships like Superman and Lois or Spider-Man and Mary Jane have never progressed over the years." You said, to which Stan chuckled.
You had thought that Mary had fallen in love with the Fantastic Four over the space and science stuff, and while she did like it a lot, it turned out her favorite aspect of them was how they were a family and worked well together. Sort of like how she fell deeper in love with Family Ties, while you were in Europe for several months....
Honestly, you're not sure if you can muster up the courage to do another Conan film again.
"Well keep this a secret between the two of us, but I have it on good authority that the latter is going to change soon in the comics. But it's good that she enjoys it, I always felt the Four were sort of the heart of Marvel and offered an experience few other titles can." Stan said with a smile.
"Yeah I'd have to say that Reed and Sue are probably her favorite Marvel characters right now, so I'm hoping that Sunrise can make a show in the next year or two. Joseph already seems to love Spider-Man from the show alone."
At that remark, Stan's face became more of a grimace with him sitting up straighter, "Ah, that actually brings me out to why I came here. Bruce, I want us to make a Marvel superhero movie."
"Really Stan? What about the agreement we had?" You asked in a neutral tone. When you first bought Marvel comics, Stan and a few of the other leading Editors and executive figures had a collective meeting with you and Mike over when and how movies would be made about Marvel characters, especially in light of your role as the caped crusader.
After a couple of days of conversation and research into current market trends, creative potential and the capabilities of Lucasfilms, a grand plan was concocted. The 80s would be focused on making sure that Marvel was mainstream and developed a fanbase beyond the niche Comic readers. In addition to other initiatives such as Marvel: Japan and Atlas, Marvel was going to create an animated superhero universe where they could fully explore the main heroes and their lore and stories without the constraints of two hour runtimes or physical and real world logistics. The latter was especially important as quite frankly even with ILM's magic, more than half of the most iconic Marvel heroes simply couldn't be feasibly presented on the big screen.
Once the 90s came with the MAU having run its course, Marvel would strike when the iron was hot with the DC films' conclusion and present the Marvel Cinematic Universe where all of its big heroes and some of the minor ones could feature on the big screen, culminating in a big crossover event with the Avengers. By then, technology would have hopefully progessed enough to present the heroes with their full abilities, especially thanks to computer graphics.
For now, all they could do for live action was to focus on the street heroes, and Daredevil and Luke Cage were already massive successes in and of themselves and how they transformed two niche titles into overnight A-listers.
"I know Bruce, and I agree with you. I'm not saying we have to make Avengers by the end of the decade, but we have to release SOMETHING to establish our presence at the box office. There's an air of frustration and confusion at the Comics over our co-owner playing Batman." You winced heavily at that, "And we probably got hundreds of letters each week asking when we're gonna make a movie. It'd be one thing if it was just Batman and Superman, but with Wonder Woman and all the other heroes popping up we at least one movie to satisfy the readers. Can't just twiddle our thumbs while Justice League makes a couple billion." Stan argued.
You sighed and nodded, "Okay, that's completely fair and I'm sorry for all the grief I've caused."
"It's fine, at least with your work as Batman, we got a blueprint of what to do right and what not to screw up." Stan said.
"So, do you have a film at least? I'm fine with anything so long as we aren't committed to building a film universe for now."
Stan nodded, "Don't worry, at most we're hoping for a handful of stand-alone titles that deal with stuff outside of the main continuity. But for the first, we're hoping to start off with a real doozy." Stan said, then opened the briefcase he brought and presented a script.
You took it and raised your eyebrows at the title, "The Incredible Hulk and Amazing Spider-Man".
"Well, certainly an ambitious entry into film." You say with a weary chuckle, "I don't get it though, how are you going to present both their origin stories and keep it separate from-"
"That's the thing, this isn't going to be a film focused on new versions of the characters, it's a crossover between Ferigno's Hulk and Hammond's Spider-Man, a cinematic event to conclude both shows." Stan informed.
You looked at him in confusion, "I thought you hated Hammond's Spider-Man?"
Stan looked at you back bewildered, "Where'd you get an idea like that?"
You shrugged your shoulders, "Just something I overheard last time i visited Marvel." Really, it was actually Jim Shooter who said so to you, but you didn't want to rat him out.
Stan shrugged his head, "No, it's not like that. I don't mind Nick as an actor, I think he's a pretty decent Peter and Spider-Man. The problem was the way CBS and the producers handled it. They took the superhero out and turned it into too much of a soap opera, not to mention zero villains, it was a borefest! The Japanese Spider-Man on the other hand, THAT was a real Spider-Man show."
"The show about a Japanese motorcross racer who gets his superpowers from an alien suit and has a giant mecha at his disposal, seeking to avenge his father against an evil alien empire?" You asked in bewilderment. You became aware of the series after Marvel's purchase and had watched a few episodes. Pretty hillarious and fun, but a stark departure from the comics.
"Yeah! Sure it didn't follow the story all the way, but it had the heart and spirit of Spider-Man that me and Steve envisioned. You should really release it on LucasTV, it would be a big hit." Stan promised.
"I'll talk about it with Brandon when I can. Back to the movie."
"Right, so I figured since we already have Hulk and Spidey as the two live action heroes before Luke Cage and they never really got proper endings, why not wrap them up in a nice little crossover bow? We can use this to really experiment and see what we can do for a Marvel movie, it finishes the old TV stuff so we can focus on the Lucas shows, and it has our two biggest heroes together to draw in lots of people with seats for the big bucks." Stan emphasized, to which you laughed a bit.
"Come on Stan, you know I'm not gonna bite for the money."
"Well think about the story, not even DC has had a proper Superhero crossover besides those little cameos. No offense." Stan said.
"None taken." You take a peak through the pages, and while you were never hard into either show, what the script seemed to offer had you intrigued, "Alright, so if I greenlight this then what's going to happen?"
"Well, we can start pre-production and best case scenario, work on it in the summer. I've reached out to the regulars from both shows and they're really interested to do a reprisal on the big screen, especially Nick. From there hopefully a late 85 or 86 release, preferably after Secret Wars finishes at minimum. As for budget, eh...twenty-forty million okay?"
Well, this wasn't your first pick for a Marvel debut on film, but it wasn't exactly a bad one. The Incredible Hulk was an iconic staple of television that dominated the late 70s and turned him into a household name. The Amazing Spider-Man, while a more messy and mixed show, still was a solid first time on live TV, just needing the right pushes to make it truly something great, yet it never came to be.
At the end of the day, it was just a standalone film, and fans of both shows would probably heavily appreciate the effort to give each other a real finale. As Stan said, it was a good test run for how to do proper Marvel films and it'll keep comic readers happy until the MCU proper launches. Plus, a project this big was just another dip in the Lucasfilms' coffers.
Movie Pitch: The Incredible Hulk and Amazing Spider-Man Genre: Superhero, Action Sub-genre: Comedy, Drama
Premise: A crossover film featuring the titular heroes from their 70s shows, Hulk and Spider-Man is a conclusion to the 70s live action Marvel shows where Hulk and Spider-Man team up to save New York City from the nefarious plot of The Leader.
Synopsis: At the start of the film, the Hulk is being pursued by the military lead by one General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. This is a state of events caused by Jack McGee, where in his obsessive quest to bring Hulk to justice, implicated him in the massacre of a Nevada town. In truth, Hulk had been confronting a gamma mutated monster who had assaulted the town, but in the process many of the town's residents had died and Jack's yellow journalism painted Hulk as the monster, thus finally spurring the military's involvement. Hulk engages with the Army, but takes great care not to kill any of the soldiers, a fact some of the troopers start to realize though Ross is blind to such efforts and sees Hulk as a monster, all the while Jack is observing from afar, hoping to get the story of the century.
Eventually, through David's influence, who realizes the military will never stop their pursuit, works together with Hulk to fake their deaths by plummeting into a canyon with Hulk stopping his heart long enough to give the appearence of death. Ross is satisfied with the job well done, ignoring how most of his forces are battered with his subordinates pointing out that it was only thanks to the Hulk's mercy that no one had died. Jack escapes triumphantly, confident that he will win a pullitzer for covering such a battle and eager for fame and fortune to capitalize off of his pursuits. Meanwhile, the Hulk transforms back into David and then escapes.
Two years pass and David has started a new life in New York City as David Bannion. He has managed to lay low and not transform into the Hulk for the last two years, largely thanks to the influence of one Maggie Shaw. Maggie is a nuclear physicist who was an old flame of David's. The two reconnected with David having nowhere else to go after his faked death, and Maggie has helped him to remain calm. The two are working together to try and find a cure for the Hulk thanks to Maggie's work at Empire State University. David wants to grow closer to Maggie and settle down, but his fears of the Hulk's return prevent him from growing attachments.
One day, when David is visiting Maggie at ESU, the campus comes under attack by the Lizard who attacks the nuclear science wing, in what many assume is a fit of rage as the Lizard used to be Dr. Kurt Conner, a brilliant geneticist whose pursuit of regrowing limbs turned him into a reptilian monster. David does his best to protect Maggie, but the Lizard is unstoppable, and David appears nearly ready to turn into the Hulk. However, at that moment Spider-Man comes to save the day and swings in battling the Lizard, with David then working to evacuate the scientists. Unfortunately, the Lizard manages to escape into the sewers, though the camera shows an unknown figure sabotaging with the scientific research.
In the aftermath, Maggie is frantic as she can't find one of her graduate students. She calls out for one Peter Parker who abruptly drops in, explaining that when the Lizard showed up he ran as fast as he could for help. Maggie remarks how Peter has a nasty habit of just disappearing at the worst times. She then introduces Peter to David, Peter studying for a biology doctorate and is working on a thesis that studies the mutative effects of radiation on animals, which perks David's interest. The two hit it off and discuss science with one another, and Maggie discovers to her dismay that much of the research was destroyed, though she is grateful that the plans for the Gamma Reactor are okay. This makes David panic to which Peter states that they are working with Roxxon Energy to produce a nuclear reactor on Long Island which can be powered through gamma radiation, ensuring completely clean energy for New York. Peter then leaves with Maggie suggesting to David quietly that Peter can be brought in on the secret and help them with the cure, though David with flashes to the Hulk thanks to the mention of the Gamma reactor, just retreats, trying to calm himself.
We then cut to Peter where we see that he has for the most part gotten his life together as both Spider-Man and Peter Parker, juggling his responsibilities and working to becoming a Doctor to help other people with his scientific research. He swings by the Daily Bugle to deliver photos of his battle with the Daily Planet, greeting his current girlfriend Julie Masters who now works at the Planet, and Rita Conway who became a reporter thanks to Jameson's mentorship.
Peter observes Jonah getting angry with a journalist and kicking him out, shown to be a heavily disheveled and quite manic Jack McGee. Julie reveals that after Jack won a pulitzer for his coverage of the Hulk, he was never able to replicate his success and remained quite obsessed with the Hulk, convinced he was alive. Jack rants that the Hulk is alive and in New York and Jameson should quit his obsession with Spider-Man and focus on the Real Menace, being generally aggressive with Peter helping to escort him out the building, though he wonders if there is any truth.
The movie then cuts to the Lizard, who is located somewhere underground and transforms back to Kurt Conners. He then discusses with a Shadow figure that the mission was a success, though he couldn't eliminate that pesky Arachnid. The figure congratulates Conners and says that agents were able to remove any research pinpointing the true intentions of the Gamma Reactor. Kurt mentions some new figure was present at the lab, a David Bannion and brings it up in concern if he could somehow sabotage the project. The figure grows cold and angry, interrogating Kurt about David with the description that matches David Banner. Kurt shows some reptilian features and asks why he's so obsessed, who then receives a reply that David Banner is the greatest nuisance in his life, though it's also a remarkable opportunity to keep everyone distracted and elminate a rival. It is then shown that the mysterious figure is none other than The Leader.
Back with David, he struggles on how to move forward with his life, at the same time having mental battles with the Hulk that greatly tax him as the Hulk wishes to return. David, viewing Maggie as a greatly stabilizing figure, decides to move forward in their relationship in the hopes it will keep him at his best and sets up a romantic dinner. David answers the door to his apartment, only to be confronted with the Lizard who assaults David and demands the Hulk to fight him. David tries his best to escape or fight the Lizard off, but he is too powerless, when The Lizard goes for a fatal blow, David finally lets go and transforms into the Hulk, the two having a fierce battle.
Meanwhile, Peter is having a date with Julie and contemplates if it's the right time to reveal himself as Spider-Man to her as they both discuss moving forward after Peter receives his doctorate. When Peter is about to do so, a panicking crowd passes by them, mentioning how the Hulk and Lizard are having a battle downtown. Julie is happy to pursue and take photos of the battle, though is baffled that Peter has once again disappeared.
Peter as Spider-Man quickly swings into battle, where the Lizard has wounded the Hulk, but Hulk has a strong upper hand. Not knowing of the Hulk's true nature, Spider-Man attacks both, giving the Lizard a reprieve. While Hulk is far stronger than Spider-Man, Spider-Man's agility and creative usage of his webs keep things roughly even between them, though both deliver stunning blows to the Lizard. The battle then escalates and becomes worse as The Leader deploys Humanoids, mutated monsters like the Hulk to eliminate all of them in one fell swoop.
Seeing the Humanoids pushes Hulk into a bloodthirsty rage with major property damage and he brutally kills one of them. Peter, seeing the Hulk as a threat, attacks him at full strength and the two get into a near deadly fight, allowing The Lizard to run away. However, when a nearby crane collapses and nearly falls and crushes Julie and a child who she had been protecting, Hulk's bloodlust ends and he protects Julie and the child, shocking Spider-Man enough to allow the Hulk to flee.
In the aftermath the city is filled with panic, and the government sends in General Ross who is determined to finish the job and "Purge the city of mutant scum". McGee is also thrilled as he is not only vindicated, but can also make a fortune on continued stories of the Hulk, getting his job back at the National Enquirer and doing his best to help the military locate the Hulk. Peter attends a meeting at the Daily Bugle where Jameson reveals how he did some digging after McGee's earlier visit and found himself confronted with contradictions. In spite of his word, there are several stories of the Hulk helping people and no accounts of anyone being injured or killed by his hand, only what McGee had to say of his murder of David Banner and Elaina Marks along with the destruction of that Nevada town. He sends Rita and Julie to investigate these claims, while Peter volunteers to remain in the city and scope out where the Hulk is, determined to find out answers as Spider-Man.
The Lizard returns to the Leader, furious about the deployment of the Humanoids, though the Leader admonishes him for almost falling to the Hulk, though he promises that with the "Gamma Meltdown" set to occur soon, that he shall be upgraded and be able to eliminate both the Hulk and Spider-Man at his pleasure.
David visits Maggie who is worried about his relapse, but committed to staying by his side. David only pushes her away, saying that the Hulk is a danger to everyone and he can't ever stay in one place or get closer to everyone. He also implores Maggie to shut down the Gamma Reactor project, saying if there's a miniscule chance that anyone else could become the Hulk, then it should never see the light of day. When David learns that the Reactor was designed by Samuel Sterns, he flees in a panic.
Peter in the midst of his investigation, discovers that his notes on the Reactor's potential flaws have disappeared, and he tries to implore for the team to halt until they can make sure that everything is safe, but with such a tight deadline and the city in panic, they can't change anything. He also learns from Maggie of David disappearing and with certain clues in the conversation as well as David's striking resemblance to David Banner, Peter understands they might be connected. He later visits Maggie as Spider-Man to confront her about this, who implores him that David is innocent and has never been a murderer, though she does confirm they are one in the same.
Meanwhile, Rita and Julie continue their investigation of the Hulk, bringing them into contact with various one-episode characters throughout the Hulk's series. They avow the Hulk's heroism and how he has saved many of them in trouble, and also confirm how Jack played a rather antagonistic role and often times would make situations with the Hulk worse. They also discover there is no body from David Banner and that Elaina Marks' body never showed any signs of physical blows, but from fire. Though in New York, there are further sightings of the Hulk supposedly attacking Roxxon facilities and doing battle with Humanoids, forcing Ross' deployment and generally making the situation more tense with McGee's exploitative and sensational reporting.
Peter finally discovers David, sneaking into Roxxon's New York headquarters. He follows David sneaking in where David confronts Roxxon's secretive CEO, revealed to be none other than The Leader himself. When confronted, The Leader reveals how he was actually present at the Gamma Blast, a lowly janitor named Samuel Sterns who was in a one sided love with Elaina and had great ambitions, but never had the intellect or capabilities to go far. He resented David for his success and his relationship with Elaina, even though they were friends. When the Gamma Blast happened, he gained supergenius intelligence and has plotted to obtain what he believes should have been his, the world. Sterns as The Leader views Hulk as the other half of the ultimate lifeform (himself being the former) and a grave potential threat. Thus, he experimented with the Humanoids to recreate the Hulk experiment, and sent them after the Hulk, destroying the town in the process through a mining explosion.
At this revelation, David becomes the Hulk and tries to destroy The Leader, only to reveal it was a hologram. The Hulk then smashes the Roxxon headquarters, which was in actuality the plan by Leader to have the military arrive and eliminate the Hulk. Peter as Spider-Man swings in and tries to calm down and subdue the Hulk. Just as he manages to break through to him, Ross and the military arrive and attack the Hulk, though Spider-Man helps the Hulk to escape, which causes Ross and McGee to label Spider-Man as a collaborator and terrorist.
Peter shelters David, who transformed back into himself and in the process learns of Peter's own secret identity thanks to his mask having broken in the battle. The two agree to help each other out, both deducing that The Leader plans to make a grand ploy with the Gamma Reactor and they need to stop him there. Peter also runs into a returning Rita and Julie who share what they've learned about the Hulk and how they believe he's not the monster that McGee is pointing him out to be. Peter enlists their help to share their story with the public, Rita writing an expose in the Bugle, and with some reluctance Julie would be present at the ceremony for the Gamma Reactor, to record any footage that takes place so they have a clear narrative not run by McGee.
The time for the Gamma Reactor's commencement starts with Peter attending in his public persona while Julie attends as part of the press, all the while Jack is present and eager for a disaster to happen for him to write a story on. Peter is able to smuggle in David, who warns Maggie to stay away from the reactor and leave, though she stubbornly remains. At the commencement, The Leader reveals himself with the Lizard and traps many of the scientists and public figures in attendance, announcing the beginning of his new world order with the world as his slaves. He sets off the Gamma Reactor, which triggers a gamma overload and turns many into mutant creatures, along with the Lizard being enhanced. The Leader is also enhanced and enslaves the mutants with telepathic powers.
Spider-Man and the Hulk arrive and work together to contain the Mutants. Ross, who had been guarding the reactor with an Army detachment, engages the Mutants but his men are overwhelmed, with Spider-Man and the Hulk being needed to save them. Understanding that for the moment they aren't his primary enemy, Ross switches to evacuating civilians and keeping the site contained, letting both heroes work without impedment. However, Maggie and Julie have stayed behind, with Maggie attempting to gain control of the reactor, believing that the conditions are just perfect enough that they could create a blast of negative gamma particles to cure the afflicted.
Spider-Man and Hulk's teamwork sees the Humanoids be knocked out, and through heavy effort, defeat the enhanced Lizard. Yet just as victory is near achieved, Jack who had been following the battle closely, is enraged when he learns that the Hulk was actually David Banner, believing that David set him on a wild goose chase for years and manipulated them, even if it was his own chosing. Jack then accidentally falls straight into the reactor chamber, and emerges as a Hulk-like monster which the Leader calls Ravage and gains immediate control, placing Spider-Man and Hulk back in the fight. While Ravage is slightly stronger than the Hulk, Hulk has far greater fighting experience and contains him, while Peter knocks out The Leader, which causes a psychic wave that keeps Ravage contained enough for Maggie to unleash the blast of negative gamma particles, reversing everyone. However, Ravage does not immediately revert due to the gamma radiation being too high, in essence making Jack just like the Hulk. When Hulk and Spider-Man knock him out, Jack returns back to normal, but is likely his condition is permanent.
In the aftermath, Ross detains the Leader, Jack and Lizard, and with video footage that Julie obtained at the battle and Rita's research, the Daily Bugle is able to exonerate David's name and make it clear to the world that the Hulk is no monster. While there is no easy cure in sight, David no longer has to run and is given a spot at the ESU where he helps Maggie to make a proper working reactor, the two finally kindling their relationship. Peter manages to finish his thesis statement and decides to reveal that he's Spider-Man to Julie, though in the confession Julie reveals she's known that he was Spider-Man for quite a while, and was waiting on him to be truthful. The two are happy and make plans for their future.
In the final scene, Peter shares hot dogs with David, the latter being hopeful for the first time in many years. They observe a fast deployment of police cars, with Peter off to change into Spider-Man, while David is observed with a green glint in his eyes.
David Banner- A mild mannered physicist, David is a good man who seeks to help others and has a strong moral code. This lands him frequently into conflict on his run over the years, though David could never walk away when something is wrong. He years for association with others, but keeps people at a distance due to his condition of the Hulk. Played by: Bill Bixby
Incredible Hulk- The alter ego of David Banner who he transforms into after a state of anger. The movie reveals that Hulk is not a seperate persona entirely, but that he and David are one in the same with the Hulk being a split personality due to David's trauma and lifetime of rage from various incidents. While Hulk is simple minded and prone to destroy, he like David has a strong desire to protect the weak and Hulk can be a gentle giant if calmed down. Played by: Lou Ferrigno
Peter Park/Spider-Man: The deuteragonist of the film, Peter Parker is a friendly photographer and postgraduate student who takes on the alter ego of Spider-Man to defend the people of New York. Peter by this point is a relatively experienced Spider-Man and does his best to live by great power and great responsibility to those around him. Played by: Nicholas Hammond
The Leader- An egotistical and ambitious supergenius bent on world domination. The Leader views himself as the ultimate lifeform and due to being pushed around in his previous life, wants the whole world under his domain. Played by: Robert Englund
The Lizard- Once a scientist named Kurt Conners who sought to heal amputated people like himself through experiments with lizard DNA, which mutated him into a monstrous creature. Conners is hateful of humanity and holds a general disdain for others due to his downfall, making him a dark mirror of David Banner. Played by: Marc Singer
General Ross - A hotheaded military officer who makes quick assumptions and has a might makes right attitude. Ross views the Hulk as both a threat and challenge and is eager to best him. Played by: Lee Marvin
Jack McGee- A reporter obsessed with the Hulk, McGee is a passionate man, yet one who never bothers to look before the surface and makes heavy judgements and biases of everyone, which lead to him labelling the Hulk as a murderous monster. By the time of the movie, he has developed a strong obsession of the Hulk and views his life as having a sort of sacred mission to follow the Hulk and hold him accountable. Played by: Jack Colvin.
Maggie Shaw- A brilliant nuclear physicist and David's love interest, Maggie believes in the best for others and wishes to help David with his conditoin, though she believes he can live with the Hulk. Played by: Lee Purcell.
J. Jonah Jameson: The eccentric owner and Chief Editor of the Daily Bugle. While a man with a temper and demanding of his workers, Jameson values the truth and has a strong sense of integrity. Played by: Robert Simon
Rita Conway- A friendly woman with an inquisitive nature, formerly Jameson's secretary who now works as a field reporter for the bugle. Played by: Chip Fields.
Julie Masters- A free-spirited and no-nonsense photographer with an adventurous spirit. Played by: Ellen Bry
A/N: Probably not perfect, but I think it's a nice wrap-up to the 70s shows and a good appetizer for Marvel fans here while DC gets the love.
This will be made automatically, though most likely as an animated project.
Also:
[]I think that Stan really just wants you to be on TV (Stan really wants you to be on one of Marvel future projects on TV, be it animation or Live Action)
[]Oh boy, Frank Miller is cooking. (Meanwhile, Frank Miller and David Mazuchellie... are cooking on DareDevil.)
[]Ah, I think we have a problem or two (Stan and Jack deal with a problem. And it won't be coming back to bite them.)
Speaking of Mary and the Fantastic Four, she should totally direct a Fantastic 4 film when she's older. She'd be genuinely perfect for the job what with her advanced love and knowledge of space and science, her family background in film, and the Fantastic 4's family-oriented dynamic that would resonate strongly with Mary.
Why as an animated project though? I specifically made it for live action, thus the return of all the actors. And it was made specifically to provide closure to the 70s Marvel series that didn't have proper finales. David gets to clear his name and become a hero, Peter is living his best life as Spider-Man and has a bright future ahead of him. It loses the impact if it's animated, even if it does have that Dreamworks quality.
Plus I chose a somewhat grounded plot that can feasibly be done in the 80s. The villains are a mad genius that can be done with prosthetics and a bunch of mutant brawlers. Ferrigno's Hulk was done pretty decently, and with Hammond here he has a pretty hefty budget to go all out as Spider-Man and they can probably implement some knowledge learned from tokusatsu.
We can totally do this now and Marvel fans would be starving for a live action film. It's not like we're setting up the MCU, we're literally tying up loose ends from the old TV universe.
If an Aquaman and Flash film can be made in the 80s along with a Justice League at the end of the decade, I don't see why Hulk and Spider Man movie can't be made, especially when both shows are established. Even if we're Batman, Marvel deserves some love.

There's also the connection on how the Fantastic Four are basically tied to the Space Race, and we are currently living in a second one at the moment with the Artemis Program. Heck, now we have the chance for the Fantastic Four to be adapted with an 80s setting thanks to that, whether in animation or if we eveer rebooth the comics in some way.
Heck, perhaps a future film could also use that as well.
What would you say to just calling it "The Incredible and The Amazing"? I feel it fits better, specially if we accompany it with a poster showing both Hulk and Spider-Man.
Don't forget about the Evangelicals and the Extreme Conservatives on that list, and also Hayao Miyazaki as an honorary member.
Now that I think about it despite mostly being an Actor Bruce O'Brian has a shitton of Political enemies and is probably known as one of the most famous political person in the world that is not a politician.
I can see a lot of gossip by people on how worryingly large of a grip Bruce O'Brian has on the Public and Media. A lot of historians and people who will look back will likely comment on how lucky the world was that Bruce rarely used that power and only used it for good.
Imagine being an outside perspector for a moment and being told that one man had the soft power to sway the opinions of a large portion of the United States of America. Any politician worth his money could recognize the potential Boon it would be to have that man on their side as now bills or laws that seemed impossible to be passed or pushed through the Government are now being approved in record time and smoothly rolled out, but make an enemy of that man and you will find that almost any laws or bills that you try to pass even simple ones that almost everyone agreed before is a slog to pass with almost every bill being scrutinized carefully word for word 20 times with even the smallest of mistakes forcing you back to revise it or being shot down all together, for all intents and purposes you would be a lame duck for the rest of your term until you will inevitably be kicked out of office by a rival who either did not offend that man or is a good ally to him
Bruce O'Brian is scary not because of what he does or what he did but on what he could do.
