Look if they had just stuck to volunteers, it would have been fine. Seriously. All it took was one idiot King to ruin it all. I mean, it doesn't help that the dwarves even have casteless as a thing, but still. I mean come on, each golem has to have been the equivalent of like, twenty dwarfs at least. I'd take that exchange rate, if I was dealing with a literal extinction-level situation. But no, he had to go and make it a worse deal and basically make the Anvil a cursed object.
Yeah. It it was WHFB Dawi with the Anvil it would be fine. But instead we got:

a master smith who condemned her entire extended family to a fate worse than death,
and a king chosen from either:

a dude who either set his two older siblings to kill each other or killed one and framed the other for it( depending on which choice is canon in Dwarf Noble option) , kills his primary opponent as his first order if chosen as king or tries to take over by force if not chosen.
Or
A dude who doubles down on the caste system rendering substantial chunk of the very limited population unable to take any legal work, cuts all the ties with the surface(the key source of income), and is unable to rein in noble infighting meaning that the slow attrition of the dwarven population into nothingness becomes even faster.

[X] Fighting Fate
[X] The Burning Bulwark of Love

I feel these are the most essential for our current situation. The fortune points can give Freddy rerolls if he fails a torture roll, and the upgraded bond can reduce his chances of failing a torture roll.

I know not subject of thread, but it is noted in epilogue how despite being a total bastard that choice was better in long-run for dwarf race since said leader was progressive and helped actually improve things rather than have more stagnation.

So while it tastes like ash in the mouth to do so, it is the better option in long run.

[X] Fighting Fate
[X] Raindrops Falling On Their Heads

More Fate points is always great, something we really could use. Since we used Freddy's Fate point up. However, there's been talk about skipping over Norsca if/once Freddy leaves the Black Ark, and well. Having something go great there would help in some way. Especially if the Norsca Dwarves can survive for some more years.

And Ha! I suspected the anniversary vote was right around the corner! This is great. Wonderful choices torroar.

It is. But you still have to blow up the Anvil for a truly good ending otherwise he ends up just feeding all of his political opponents to it.

True, sadly the DaO dwarves are not your typical kind and more like Game of Thrones levels of bastards, so can't be directly trusted with that power.

Granted, most groups in DaO tend to be bastards and subverts standard fantasy race tropes.

Agreed. Remember when we got our first Fate Point in the Five Year Anniversary vote, it allowed us to salvage negotiations with Ariel, and later saved our bacon at Salkalten. Another Fate Point for Freddy and one for Natasha would greatly improve both their chances of survival in the long run. Also, when combined with the upgraded bond, it will increase the amount of buffer we have before Freddy gives into the torture.

'By the ancestors' is one of the current leading choices, and 'Fighting Fate' may not become part of the winning two.... Well that's a choice.

hey @torroar I have an idea , for an option if you're taking them
Admiral Aislen fresh off chasing that stupid pirate who ran off with the Marinaburg fleet to sack a high elf city , is informed by one the diviners in the fleet about the beached black ark near Salkalten and goes with his entire fleet to investigate , finds out about the battle of Salkalten, he now knows there is a depleted dark elf black ark with no escort fleet somewhere in the waters of the Old World and goes on the hunt and he's closing in rapidly on his prey

basically Aislen and his fleet show up like big damn heroes , ambush the black ark , storm it , kill all the bad people , rescue Freddy and Co and free all the slaves dropping them off at Salkalten on their way back to Ulthuan , ending this Saga on a high note with happy ending and the entire thing would be written from the high elf POV of Aislen because I just want to read about an arrogant overpowered blowhard skilled enough to deserve his own hype beat the shit out of the bad guys

We do not know in-character of the dynasty that Otto actually HAS DONE THIS. We only know he took the fleet away and the high elves are rumored to have reacted to something in Marienburg.

We know about Kislev. We know skaven are involved. We know about Karaz-a-Karak. We know about Norsca. These are relevant to the player protagonist dynasty.

[X] Fighting Fate - Sometimes, it seems like the entire universe has been set against them, and yet, they persist. Sometimes, even, with a bit of aid from the Gods themselves. Gods, supreme beings that they are, often contest one another as well, and once again, it seems a locus point has been found where a great many are exerting their influence in a single place. For better or worse, influence becomes easier to push forward. A great many champions are present after all, and Gods are not above petty acts of vengeance. Frederick and Natasha both gain 1 Fate Point, and 1 Fortune Point To Use 'Per Day' I.E. In/around 24 hours within-universe.
[X] The Burning Bulwark of Love: It is a poison and an antidote, a balm and poultice and an open fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. Love is many things, and in the case of Natasha and Frederick, it is a source of strength that has yet to be matched. In the distant past, elves were averse to performing the ritual binding their very souls together for all the pain that it could bring them. And yet it was done, and it is a strength beyond strength. Neither shall be the weakness of the other, ever. Though it was unintended, perhaps because of the usage of materials born of the Realm of Chaos to try and hurt or the influences of the Gods themselves, the bond has grown stronger still. The Soulbond Connection Between Natasha and Frederick Grows Stronger To Untold Levels, Protecting Both Parties All The More.

Simple fact of the matter is, we're still playing as Freddy and Nat rn. If they had died or one of them had already, I'd vote for the more world changing options like the gronti or waystone thing. But we're gonna keep playing as Freddy and Nat for some time yet and this Ark Arc ain't over by a longshot. And let's be real. I want those two to make it outta here and back to Ostland.

Top two will win. But let's have a tally now, anyways just to see the stuff.

Don't forget, when we hopefully beach this ark, we will have to go through Norsca. Fate Points for Freddy and Nat would be very helpful there, especially since Chaos corruption is a very real thing for us to worry about.

[X] Fighting Fate
[X] With A Bit Of Time And Space
[X] Raindrops Falling On Their Heads

Asides from giving Freddy more Fortune and Fate points, and giving Nat some as well, the other two votes interest me. We haven't seen Aurelion in awhile and the Slann in Norsca just interests me.
